- I was given a set of Kenwood speakers by a friend of mine, but on one of the 3 way speakers the tweeter was blown out. I decided to buy an aftermarket diaphragm off of Ebay and install it myself. I gave the tweeter a new life and now it sounds great!

Great video, I just found some rough looking but good sounding JBL Control 28s with the tweeters just falling apart. I'll get some replacement diaphragms ordered and give it a shot.
dome tweeters, usually are made in 6 ohm.
It Don't change the carachteristics of the sound.
Woofer is the one that determinates ohm's
how did you center it? you glued it before center it?
I was actually able to place the coil with the plastic piece over the magnet, then what I did was center the coil and apply some scotch tape to hold the coil in place. I then removed the scotch tape on one side of the coil and applied glue, I let that dry for a bit before removing the final piece of scotch tape and applying the last amount of glue. To this day the speakers sound awesome. Thanks for watching
does polarity matter on tweeter dome leads?
No you can just reverse the wires that attach to the speaker if it's opposite of what it should be, typically the wires on the voice coil are as such. . . The one that comes from under the windings is positive the one that's on the outside is the negative, again just reverse the wires going to the speaker if needed, there's no reason to take it back apart if you did it backwards
Silk dom twiter is best
Way you canvart titanium
Silk dome tweeters were replaced by metal dome tweeters in the early 1980s. First copper, then aluminium and finally titanium. Celestion from the UK invented the metal dome tweeter and it was first used in the SL6.
TOO MUCH WATTAGE,HAS EMF FROM TRANSFORMER ALSO. FYI
HOT GLUE 🤣😂🤣😅😂🤣😂
