Why is the ref butting in about the flag? You would get a warning on your IO if you were out of dueling range.
because even with a warning a huge cc chain could happen and last for at least 10 sec so he's trying to avoid any shenanigans
They know where they are in relation to the flag... its stupid to butt in regarding it, they are aware of where it is.
Actually really wish they would STFU about the flag and let them fight.. That ref is a dumbass if they think they dont know where the flag is.

"Away from the flag be carefull" dude shut it, there is a popup once they are.
The organizers try to avoid the popup because CCing someone into forfeiting is against the rules, so the organizers do not want a situation where ziqo goes out of the duel area, the opponent doesn’t know and blinds him for 10s, and then have a situation where you gotta blame someone.

Warrior vs mage is like that. Maybe could have switched for a shield to have more HP when far away to have more hp. But the result would be the same.

He didn't use any FAP, which is a shame, there's a couple of spot where it could have changed the outcome of the fight, but he just didn't bring any.
Using FAP once your DR on sheep is full can be a game changer

Why is this called a Mak’gora tournament if it’s just a regular duel tournament? Could do this in a normal classic server. Only the gearing is a bit more exciting
Qualifiers are normal duels, top 16 on will be Mak'goras.

is that an addon or a weakaura that is showing the warriors cooldowns?
either way shouldn't be allowed...these are "duels" or "mak'goras" at this point when you have every addon and weak aura possible as well as seeing everything you opponent has...this is a joke of who can run out the clock the longest
@@curtharakaly4620 Kinda agree with you, I hate wow add ons a lot (and was pleasantly surprised to learn that this kind of addons are harshly punished in ff xiv). But it is a mak gora tournament where everything is permitted. So yeah, they are going to min max the shit out of their character and out of their interface

After qualifiers they do real Mak'Goras? I was a little disappointed when I realized these were duels.
From how they explained the "Swiss Tournament" concept why they do this is so that the person that wins the whole event doesn't just win becuase of lucky RNG giving them all matchups against classes they can dominate. So for example if Ziqo fought nothing but warriors the whole time for a world class mage like himself it would be trivial, meaning the warlocks that the warriors all killed wouldn't make it which would give him an easy path to victory. This way its more likely the if that still does happen, he's only facing the absolute very best, instead of the lower qualifying players. Xaryu explained it much better in stream yesterday.

It's not clickbait, these were the qualifiers of the Mak gora tournament. The qualifiers are reg duels.

AT NO POINT DID ANY OPPONENT HAVE ANY CHANCE (not because the opponents are terrible... but because there is only 1 pvp class in Vanilla - A Mage)
There is no skill needed to play a mage. Frost Nova... Ice Block... Blink... and the utterly broken ability of Rank 1 Frostbolts. All of those abilities are hard counters for every class. Vanilla WoW was a huge JOKE for any sort of PvP Balance. Just play a mage... and win by Face Rolling a Keyboard.
How easy would it be to code in some limitations like YOU CANT RANK DOWN ANY SPELL IN MAK'GORAS... You cant Innervate... You can Only eat once... you can only pop 1 pot... stuff like that.
Mages endlessly reset and refill HP and Mana... when other classes do not have this ability at all... which makes PvP in Vanilla utterly worthless. If EVERY CLASS CANNOT GET THE SAME SORT OF RESET ABILITY then the game is utterly worthless with regards to PvP... and winning the event using the broken class... then claiming clout for that broken game class... is even more cringe.
Well played... but utterly unimpressed... anyone with hands and eyes can win these matches... not much else is required.

Not piercing howl on intercept, this warrior have no clue how to duel a mage. It's an already a hard matchup but there are ways to counter it.
yeah dude prob nervous as hell... warrior has to play absolutely perfectly to have even remote chance... feel like resto pot isnt the move either as warrior cuz so super easy to counter it as mage, just gotta FAP and counter the poly spam
