In vanilla WoW, the effect of alcohol makes you perceive mobs and players as lower level than what they actually are. That's why the rogue shows up as level 59. Ziqo is using Rumsey Rum Black Label for extra stamina. He explains it in the video if you just watch the whole thing.

I feel like you're forced to be Orc or Undead if you want to seriously Mak'gora because of how powerful the racials are for PvP. Anything else is a pure disadvantage.

Looks like rogue didn’t have max combo points so he wanted that final hemo, but instead of hemo there he should have blinded -> CS macro that turns off attack -> eviscerate before blind wears off

He made multiple mistakes and picking Troll over Undead is a choice when it comes to sleeping dust.

The Rogue not kicking sheep after 2nd block is hist first mistake. and not eating after sap was 2nd mistake.
The fight was staged. No rogue that knows what they are doing are gonna open up first with cheap shot unless they are planning to gouge the blink.

Ziqo, theres a blacksmithing trinket that makes you immune to fear for 30 seconds, you're gonna need that probably, or some shadow absorbing pots if you're planning on beating a good lock

How to consistently beat mage as rogue: pick up improved sprint. Improved sprint counters nova/CoC and blink if you’re not slowed. Vanish counters blink, poly, and shatter. Blind mainly counters a guaranteed poly from mage or a blink with a reset. With prep in classic you can reset all three. So the flowchart looks something like this:
Rogue opener > mage nova > rogue sprint > mage CoC/blink > rogue damage > mage poly > rogue vanish > 1st reset > rogue sap > rogue opener > mage nova > rogue wait > mage ice barrier > mage poly > rogue blind > rogue prep > mage ice block > mage nova > mage cold snap > rogue sprint > mage ice barrier > rogue damage > mage CoC > rogue damage > mage blink > mage poly > rogue vanish > mage evocate > 2nd reset > rogue sap > rogue opener > mage ice block > mage barrier > mage nova > mage poly > rogue blind > 3rd reset > rogue opener should kill here as the mage has no more ice blocks.
Probably favors rogue even more at higher gear levels because their damage skyrockets while a mage's barriers don't scale.
The number of people commenting about the rogues level when the question is answered 4min in to a 10min video is astounding.

You had a play vs his second blind although it didn't really matter, to counterspell the boar next to you, he might not realise in time and the boar would just auto your blind off :D
For all the goobers casuals, Rumsey Rum Black Label. An Alcoholic drink that gives you a +15 stamina bonus. It also makes you see players, 1 level less than their current level.
That's an amazing feature. The dev who thought that up is a genius.

So, in theory he should probably know now he fucked up and he is prob gonna lose, couldnt he just stealth here and go hide for his CDs to come back? evasion/vanish/ blind / prep or whatever then re engage ? like, let you both reset ? or would that just be a bitch move / would you have been able to find him in stealth?

It's a great video once again. Still, note to the editor - the title spoils the result. Missed it on stream and it takes away from the video somewhat to have the result in the title. it's crazy how little there is going on in vanilla pve, shit is basically mindless but in duels it's actually super complex and interesting
It's so interesting to me that the horde doesn't have a big raiding presence because they are all killing each other in Mok'goras. It's like the actual lore, horde is un-unified right now. Who will be the Thrall to focus the hordes efforts? Or will they stay as a savage tribal faction, splintered by infighting. The narrative of Hardcore Classic WoW could almost be a movie.
Horde were the waaay bette pvp‘ers in classic. I enjoyed pvp so much that i always envyd the hordes because my teammates were bots alliance players in pvp.

If rogue got eviscerate off 0.5sec earlier Ziqo was dead, if rogue used blind instead of evisc Ziqo would have been dead (blind would have outlasted the lip then he would CB eviscerate). Ziqo was kinda dead there, he actually got lucky with timing that his lip went off 0.1sec before that evisc

Take what I say with a grain of salt, I am not a pvp'er
I think the frostbolt is primarily to avoid the countless stuns and immobilizations a rogue has
If Ziqo gets the distance as well as a cc off on the rogue, he wins, regardless of if the rogue got to heal with bandage
Im guessing incase he needs a quick sheep bandage/evocate reset. It's like rogues who use the dot poispn and wonder why gouge, blind are breaking.
Important to know when and when not to have a dot on a target and he probably didn't want any cc breaking
Love the username 😂on the first sheep it’s nice to fireball but sadly my sleep powder broke before it could land. Generally a max rank fireball, rank1 frost bolt combo is better though because a longer DoT

Big Z is an insane gamer, but that was very close to death... I love seeing on the cam how focused, but worried Z was in this duel. Incredibly entertaining content.
This rogue did a good job but had a couple of misplays. He was also troll which is the worst pvp race and it cost him against the sleep dust. My prediction is it will take a geared and skilled rogue to finally take Ziqo down. With MC gear and above a rogue's damage scales way more than a mage's defense.

Two of the cheesiest PVP classes in vanilla... hardly a master class, just use consumables, frost nova and frost bolt ez.
Rogue can be performed with a simple macro, like running a scale on piano.

I wouldnt expect the duel to start any later than the duel countdown. If you need to buff up and drink then you should time it so that its ready on the duel countdown. Did you expect the rogue to give you a chance to aoe him out of stealth since you can see where he is until the duel countdown ends?

That’d be awesome, also if the ears displayed a total level of your opponents. A lot of people are getting them in lvl 20 with twinks

The only luck factor is crits, so every duel is not entirely predictable and its something you have to take account for.

I don't know much about Ziqo until I started seeing him in HC, but I'd love to see him do this with another class. I don't say that sarcastically either. I think someone with his skill level playing a less Duel dominant class would be insanely cool to see.

Na its using the full extent of your kit to its maximized potential. The rogue could’ve won had he done 2 things different, 1 is eat to top off HP during the sap, 2 is wait out ice barrier and start the go when it falls off.
