Thank you for posting this video. I just received my dispenser and hot water was not dispensing. Opened the top and saw the problem right away. Plugged unit back in and I got very hot water right away.
OMG thank you so much this is the BEST info I have gotten on my issue with my bottom loading Primo Water cooler. I contacted customer service and the man told me there was NO to repair to it and to just buy a new one. Ummm not yet!!
Thanks for this video. It was so helpful after my bottom loading dispenser stopped dispensing. After watching this video I summoned the courage to open it, everything seemed to be fine inside only to check inside the mini cooler and discovered that the water inside is frozen. I had to turn the cooling unit off and allow the frozen water to melt. Now I have my dispenser functioning again.
0:35 - yes that worked on an 07/2014 manufactured machine, but it looked nothing like the picture and I had to work it alot to get it back in. Used duct tape placed over the edge and vice-grips to grab it and wiggle while pulling down to remove. Removed duct tape and cleaned with CLR and rinsed well - lost a little of the chrome looking trim, but better that than a non-functioning machine. Re-insertion required a lot of wiggling back and forth to get the nozzle to seat back into place; it would seem okay, but then hang low as soon as you let go of it. Your customer service has been great since the day we purchased this machine 5 years ago. This video was way more helpful than what I found several years back (poking it with a paperclip). Thanks again for a cooler that keeps working great for all these years. An easy to replace/clean nozzle is great, and the chrome on the nozzle is the only part of my machine that would hint at its age.
This video was extremely helpful when Walmart wasn't. They were nice enough to refund me and let me keep it, and now, thanks to this video, I have a free water dispenser 😉

I found that the upper tank top was removable. Found that my cold water tank was 3/4 frozen. Ran boiling water through it till the ice was gone and it now works fine.
I realized that my tube was not completely pressed in, and I found through the help center that my dispenser was too close to the wall, making the lack of circulation overheat the wires and pump, this shutting it off. Thanks for the help!
Rare occasion? I had my dispenser for less than 2 years and it no longer works. I called customer service and they said my only option is to trash it. If anyone is having the issue where both hot and cold do not dispense, I discovered that after awhile, ice builds up in the cooling reservoir and clogs the holes the water passes through. I had to switch the cold water off and leave it until the ice melts and holes open back up. This fixed the problem and hopefully it's a solution for anyone else having this issue as well.
Hello, I think I have the same issue but in my case hit water runs but not cold water. I opened the unit and removed the lid from the reservoir and sure enough I saw frost build up on the edges. The weird thing is that it dispenses hot water but not cold. I left it unplugged to see if that works once the I've melts.
@@elsanallelyortiz6139 hello Elsa. Yes it works now. What I did is I turned of the power for the cold section. I turn it off for couple of hours to let the ice melt. If it freezes again just turn off the unit again for couple of hours until the ice melts again and water starts coming out. Let me know if that helps. This is assuming you checked the inside and you confirmed it's ice in there.

Check Tap Lever is the good stuff. Check there first if you have a new unit. Then if that doesn't do it, it is probably the re-seat of the cooling reservoir. Well honestly, it is check if you removed the lid of your 5 gal jug and put the pump tube on right but I consider most people smart enough to understand that "Without water...."
my issue was the little spout. even though it was clean, idk why but it seemed way too small to accommodate the flow of water coming out, so i just removed the spout altogether and now the water is dispensing greatly.
My problem with this similar cooler is no cold or room temp water dispenses but the hot ones does. Update: I took the cover off of the top and opened up water reservoir and more than half of the reservoir was frozen solid blocking the outlet that feeds the cold water valves. I unthawed the ice and everything is working great again
Hi! I know this is old but did this fix the issue permanently? Or did you need to keep thawing the ice for you to get any cold water/room temp water? My dispenser is doing the same thing. Water comes out fine from the hot spout but no water is coming out from the cold/room temp side. I opened the water reservoir on top and yeah, there’s ice on the bottom. How did you thaw out the ice? Did you just leave the unit off for a few hours?

Primo needs to provide an updated video. My htrio dispenser was made in 2014 or later (2021) but when I called I was told that the spout tip could not be removed. The rep said that my cold water dispenser was probably freezing up and I would probably have to replace the entire dispenser. I'm trying to leave in unplugged for 24 hours to see what happens next. The rep was supposed to send me some email instructions but as of yet I've not received any. I'm not happy and won't be replacing it with another Primo if it can't be fixed.

One of the problems I am having is with the hose that connects to the inside condenser for whatever reason it won't stay connected. I think this is causing the problems that I am having. HELP where can I purchase must the hose?
How do you adjust the cold water temperature?
This video saved my life! Thank you, Primo!
I have a Aqua Barista that will not brew coffee unless you unplug/ plug in. The cup lights turn off & I can't get them back on. Help!!!
Great video, worked great with a mechanically identical Midea water dispenser too :)

I did finally receiver the email instructions. Hopefully, they will help. Thanks! @@primowaterco
Thanks for the video! Helped restore my 2 year old Primo dispenser
My cold water will not come out but the hot will…. None of the solutions in this video is a problem I’m having cause everything is connected properly…. Is there anything else?
same thing just happened with our dispenser.
Thank you so much for the awesome advice
I brought one, but I want return it because it makes so much noise. What I have to do to take out all the water out?
Excellent tutorial!
Red lights still flashing, I checked hoses. I finally opened the top and poured water in it, it was pouring water cold and hot but light is still flashing red?
Tried the Probe thing, but the motor itself ain't sucking after being unused for months.
Hello,
My unit had the blinking red light, did as shown here it works now but there is no more instructions on what to do next, could yu please let me know what should i do next?
When i first saw all this i was like oh no, but i called anyway. They were super nice, still under warranty miracle. On that same note i've called 4 times since no replacement. Every time i call same thing we will email the shipping to get you the info. Nadda. Never ever again.
Thanks. The tube wasn’t in all the way in for me. Quick fix.
Where can I get a slightly longer hard plastic hose for the bottle? I have some 5 gallon water jugs that are a different brand a slightly taller. Those end up with a good 32 ounces in the bottom that the hose cannot reach
Thanks for reaching out! All of our probes are currently manufactured to be the same length. We have presented your comments to the appropriate department for further review!
Help! I am trying to get the top cover off. I can remove the screws and that portion of the top lifts up, but the front portion will not budge. I have lifted up (so far, to avoid breaking) and I have pulled back. It will not budge.
Hi - Thank you for your inquiry! If you have an hTrio model on hand, the top does not come off. If you continue to encounter any issues, please do not hesitate to contact us at social@primowater.com.
Thank you.. cooler was not working and now fixed
What about when the dispenser no longer dispenses HOT WATER and the hot water light just keeps blinking.
At 1:58 pulling out the white hose, i pulled the blue part off but the hose still won't come off. there is an extra grey piece here.
