I love live tv. So cool. Great character actors.
I love the IS radio shows and this one I could listen and follow along as well. BTW, the front door to my apartment creaks when opened slowly . Many is the time I half expect to find Raymond lurking in the hallway. :)
I remember getting nightmares from this radio show back in 1953 . Every Sunday night my parents tuned in and one time I got to listen .
This was great. Good acting and a good story.
This is the exact adaptation of the radio show, the title in which is called "Only The Dead die twice". One of my all-time favorite shows, and it appears they actually have the live actors that did the radio voices
No. The actors are different. Larry Haines as Johnny and Alice Rheinhardt played Vera on the radio version.
This is Awesome 👌
The radio version of this episode is much better, BUT it's great to see. Thank you.
Learned a new condition “Cataleptic”.

Oh wow. I didn’t know Inner Sanctum had a tv show. I thought it was just a radio show. The opening is amazing.
A TV series *was* produced- on film- by Himan Brown {for NBC Films} after ABC passed on reviving the series. 39 episodes were syndicated during 1954. Paul McGrath continued as the voice of "Mr. Host".
In 1972, Mende Brown went to Australia to produce "THE EVIL TOUCH", with Anthony Quayle as an on-screen version of "Raymond"; essentially, it was a latter-day "INNER SANCTUM", with an emphasis on supernatural and horror stories {Quayle even ended each episode with, "Pleasant.....dreams?"}. The series was syndicated in the U.S. during the 1973-'74 season.
@@fromthesidelines That run is a cure for insomnia.
So interesting to finally see Ralph Bell, the face behind a voice I'd heard at least 100 times on old time radio shows.
Mende Brown the same guy who produced "THE EVIL TOUCH".
Oho nice!
The creaking door could never be as spooky as it was on radio.
Still, I am convinced that Raymond (Paul McGrath here) was the true antecedent to the Cryptkeeper. Only Raymond didn't laugh at his jokes as much as the Cryptkeeper does....
I wonder why ABC didn't pick this show up.
Me too; with great scripts, a live tv version of Sanctum could have been great.
