    Nobody knows for sure where Jesus died short of lore. Same goes with his popping back into life after a three day death hiatus.
    Also, I've been to Yosemite a few times. All I saw was a granite glacial valley carved out about 250,000 years ago. Granite (pun), it is beautiful, but I see nothing there that remotely looks like a genie ran a finger through a newly opened peanut butter jar gouging that canyon out.
    Plus, if an atheist argues with you, you just go somewhere else? Seriously? Is that what Jesus did? And don't bring up Matthew 7:6-7. What do you do when a Jew argues with you about the divinity of Jesus? Do you just tuck tail and go talk to someone else who does not want to argue that claim?
    Instead of focusing on Matthew 7:6-7, you need to get the message that your Jesus put forth in Matthew 9:10-12.
    Also, the majority of people on this planet have never heard of Betty Crocker! What kind of asinine analogy is that?

    So you want to convince people that are gullible, not with reason and rational thought? This is what we call self reporting. You don't have good reasons to believe, so you try and use fallacious reasoning to convince people. AKA, look at the trees, or look inside your heart. I'm sorry sir, but these are completely unreliable methods to determine is something is actually true or not.

      @@TheKeesBoerMinistryChannel Is there any position that someone couldn't put there trust in? Does that tell you anything about the belief being true or not? Also, if it was shown to me that I was holding an unjustified belief, I would discard it immediately. It sounds like you don't actually care though if your beliefs are true or not, hence your fallacious reasoning. I use reliable methods to determine if what I believe is true or not, you on the other hand seem to rely on completely unreliable methods.

    In your opening you said:
    “…t would be great if you could take atheists to Israel so that they’ll see where Jesus died and where he rose from the dead…”
    - Israel is a country with a mostly Hebrew / Jewish population, isn’t it? And, generally, Israelis are not atheists, are they? And the sincere and faithful God-believing Israelis would most likely know where it is a Christian would share Jesus died and where he rose from the dead, wouldn’t they? And yet said Israelis don’t accept this, do they? And, as such, why would it be imagined taking an atheist to Israel is how to share this claim to an atheist-especially considering an atheist is already unconvinced that a god even exists?

    • @TheKeesBoerMinistryChannel
      @TheKeesBoerMinistryChannel  7 месяцев назад

      That's a very good point... When I went there, I found it very convincing. But yes, some people won't be convinced of that. Of course, it's a hypothetical point. We can't just start taking folks to Israel... And then they would have to know where to go. Most Jewish people have never read the Christian Bible....

    • @yinYangMountain
      @yinYangMountain 7 месяцев назад

      @@TheKeesBoerMinistryChannel Kees Boer,
      Thanks for the respectful reply. Here are my continued thoughts-based, in part, upon The Golden Rule:
      “When I went there, I found it very convincing.”
      - Give personal anecdotes unto others as you would have them give personal anecdotes unto you, right? As such, what would we say to a person who, for example, shares their story of traveling to Tibet, learned about the Buddha, and while there found it convincing? And Buddhists are, for the most part, Atheists, are they not?
      “But yes, some people won't be convinced of that.”
      - And the same can be said about Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, Shinto, Mormonism and Scientology, can’t it? And from here we can see that what a person does or does-not find convincing isn’t an argument for the truth-value of what they’ve been convinced of, yes?
      “Of course, it's a hypothetical point.”
      - What point was hypothetical? Does a hypothetical point (a philosophical thought experiment, if you will) lack value?
      “We can't just start taking folks to Israel... And then they would have to know where to go.”
      - What would we say to a Muslim who, regarding Mecca and the Great Mosque of Mecca (known as the Masjid al-Haram), suggested, ‘We can’t just start taking folks to Saudi Arabia… And then they would have to know where to go.’?
      “Most Jewish people have never read the Christian Bible....”
      - And most Americans probably haven’t read the Islamic Quran (which is said to be quite beautiful when experienced in the original Classical Arabic), the Hindu Vedas or Bhagavad Gita, the Buddhist Tripitaka, the Book of Mormon or L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics, have they? So… suggest / share your books unto others as they would suggest / share their books unto you?
      Doesn’t pole after pole suggest most Christians are ignorant of what’s actually contained within their Bible? But let’s imagine Americans-those having read the Christian Bible. They wouldn’t suggest atheists, Israelis (or other non-believers in Christianity) first read all the holy books of the other ‘major’ religions, subsequently travel to those foreign lands and visit their holy sites, before contemplating Christianity, would they?
      What I’d suggest, Kees Boer, is that while many have read the Christian Bible (written in Hebrew and Greek) and have had sincere religious experiences, they seldom, if ever, ponder The Golden Rule and the consequences of actually following this rule.
