Loveworkx introduction: solo sailing around the world

It's hard to believe, but today marks exactly one year since I set sail on this incredible adventure around the world. Welcome to my adventures!
I left on July 1, 2023 from The Netherlands for 3 years on a solo world trip in my sailboat of 8.20 long, without refrigerator, shower or water maker and with a small diesel tank. After 9 months and 11.000 nautical miles I arrived in French Polynesia. Now headed for New Zealand.

Well, I am quite jealous. 🙂 At first, I love the "Grinde" since my childhood and almost bought one myself (turned out that the headroom is not sufficient). So I now own a very beautifully shaped, 48 year old, cutter rigged OE 32 which currently gets its electric updated for safety reasons.
Always safe passage and "immer eine Handbreit"! :-)

Came to Australia at the age of 12 in 1959 a long time ago , living in Adelaide since 1959 .
Adelaide is a great city with beautiful beaches ,wineries hills well laid out streets ,good climate, accept it can get very hot at times up to 43c but low humidity. It has a population of 1million plus

Jij weet toch dat Windy hippy sailing op YT hetzelfde ontwerp/zeilboot heeft als jouw schip. Opmerkelijk hoe zeewaardig die bootjes zijn. Groot verschil ook van aanpak en uitrusting- oerdegelijk Nederlands. Goede vaart, groet uit de Eolische eilanden, cheers.
