ironic considering Robin is the one character that get's screwed over the most by these jab locks(They don't even have a "true combo" from the previous video)
Nothing more frustrating than someone who is wrong making a scene and calling you wrong. It creates a chain effect of just bad things overall like a dislike for no reason, not sharing the video, and spread of misinformation. This guide was needed in general though, it does a good job of explaining and looking for setups
+Vinson Games yep have fun punishing those flare blitz guys too much scrubs spam it anyways. there is just something satisfying when I jab lock then uppercut a charizard with mega man after his flare blitz got blocked.

Im not a "know-it-all" or a troll. I also did not want to make it seem like ur true combo video was all fake or lies; I just commented what I thought to be true and that led to a fruitful discussion as well as the birth of this video.

MSC, sorry you had to deal with these people. You've garnered so much popularity that even the trolls or "ignorant noobs" and I use those quotations explicitly have even subscribed just to troll and test you. But don't worry, just keep doing what you do and be real and you should have no worries.
I'm glad you explained it in more detail (I never actually knew the frames, I just did it by feel). Thank you! I'm amazed by how many people doubted those were true combos when you clearly explained that it was untechable and that you were jab locking them in the previous video.
Good response. Shame so many people think that they are really good at Smash, and didn't even bother testing and showing proof that if the combos didn't work. Also, does jablock>Rest still work in some fashion for Jiggs? Or are there no good setups?
I can't believe you even went through the trouble of explaining this to people that insultead your video and effort without knowing what they were saying! that's dedication! love all of your work :)
Sadly people will inevitably still claim that one could escape these in the other video, hahah. Regardless, great video once again, and thanks for the list.
4 years later, I'm just now discovering that my combo was featured in this video. Thank you everyone for made this possible. Hooray for outdated tactics!
Thanks man this video made me realize I've been jab locking people all the time with Fox's forward air. I was always wondering why do these guys never tech and just stand up right into a up smash. Now I know

I've been working on this for a while, but there is a handful more of jab locking moves unmentioned. So below are ADDITIONAL locks for the following characters as of patch 1.1.6. It's annoying to think some of the "You can roll out of jab lock" people didn't watch this video and are spreading the news that you can roll out of jab lock.
It's sad that the people thought you were lying....either way, keep up the fantastic work! All these videos have really helped me form some of my new play styles!
Charizard first hit of u-smash jab lock too! Don't hae the footage but I did it at low percent on a Lucario, the last part of the first hit lock, with the end of the wing ^^
Thanks for the video I knew this existed in all the smash games and I do it I just didn't no how far or how much of a advantage it gives you. Once again great video and keep up the good work :)
I know most people dont like them competitively but the mii should always be considered for these 2, but dont worry i've saved you the trouble of testing ;D (this time lol) Mii Brawler: F-Tilt, Sour N-Air Mii Swordfighter: F-Tilt Mii Gunner: Nothing i tested a couple different height and weight Mii's and it seems to depend on the move itself rather than its knock back, though like you said at later %'s it wont lock anymore Because The Knock Back
ok, you seemed to miss some locking moves Jigglypuff: f-air, dash attack, down air (first hit) Mr game and watch: d-air (not landing) Kirby: rock (grounded) d-air (first and last hit but dont land on them) sour n-air neutral special, (with abilities that lock, such as falco's lasers) Wario: F-tilt (very low percents) Robin: D-air, Book Bowser: d-air (not landing) wii fit trainer: f-air (you have to hit with feet) d-air There may be more, these are just ones that i know from the top of my head! (not dlc characters, because this came out before they came out)
Camilo Gomez A good example of a move that has sour and sweet spots is Ness' back air. (I main him, so that's why I just happen to know) Even if it's easier to get the sweet spot...
Camilo Gomez if you don't know already or for everyone else, a good example of this is Captain Falcon's knee. The Sweet spot is the electrifying hit that does a lot of damage and knockback. The Sour spot is the knee touch that does almost no damage and knockback because the player activated the knee too early so the electric power became gone and and the prolonged hitbox results in the sour spot.
+The Redstone Regime When you get hit and you see yourself rolling/stunned in the air. Then press L while you're in this state, the moment you hit the ground.
+Roger Sanstrom Did you know that every character can wall jump on a wall tech? Even for those who cannot wall jump, if they wall tech and they press jump, they'll perform a wall jump tech, is really useful
Okay, in the true comboes video, you showed us the best ways to end a jab lock combo with each character. Then, in this vid, you told us all the moves that have jab lock cababillities. As a follow up video, you could get even more specific by showcasing how to best initiate a jab lock with every character (apart from letting them drop of platforms) Just like you showed it with pikachu and fox. If you're not going to to that, then at least please tell me how to best start a jab lock with sonic and jiggs.
Ignore the ignorance that people say you spend a good amount of testing everyone you post as I've utilized some of these vids consistanly just keep up what you do and become the number 1 smash 4 channel!
fenojack I'd say that's fair enough since Shulk already has a bunch of different things to work with (though they can also be used against but that's all dependent on the player)
Shulk can "kinda" lock with a Buster N-Air, buster reduces nockback. Ive only been able to lock with Shulk Buster N-Air with two hits before losing the oponent. And that's starting at 0%... However I feel a good player would probably get out of it quick. Buster, Short hop N-Air for two hits, then I typically end with a down smash.
+Mick Vang I'm not sure if this is a full list, but here it is Ryu: Sour N-air, D-air Roy: D-air Mewtwo: D-air Lucas: Last hit of D-air, the tip of D-tilt, Sour F-air Take note that all moves that meteor, excluding moves like Fox's F-air, jab lock, but only before they play the meteor sound effect. Little Mac's D-air only works because it meteors, but it works so well because it never plays the meteor sound effect until a much higher percent
Here's what I've found so far regarding jab locks with the new DLC characters Lucas: F-tilt, Sour F-air, D-air (except 1st hit, last hit only up to about 100%), B-air (both, sweet at low percents), N-air, tip of d-tilt Roy (edited): Look at MilloSakuraba's response below. Ryu: Sour N-air, All three Hadoken variants (neutral special, quarter-circle, half-circle), Sweet B-air (low percents, the sweet spot is the thigh)
naverick22 Roy can f throw to weak hit bair which jab locks. The percent on Mario is around 20-25%, and it's not too difficult. It can lead into an f smash after the lock.
+Vegito220 sweet. I'll make that work then. Back throw to bair also works at about 25% to 45%. You need about 4% - 6% of damage for the back throw to tumble, otherwise they'll land on their feet once you throw them.
This is very helpful, although your true combos video explained it really well, its good to know how you can do this without platforms. Now I just need to go practice teching and I'll be one step closer to being better at the game.
Heheh...scrubs...from Comedy Central... In seriousness, I assumed this was a common thing since I sometimes do these against other player and vice versa since brawl...but... I assume that jab locking isn't common since it's one of those subtle things that isn't practiced by a lot of people. It's just like with how some really big competitive Smash players would study frame data and such when a basic decent player would just stick to fundamentals. So as much as I would want to go: "NOOOO YOU CAN'T ROLL BACK AND FORTH GAAAAAHHHKJSDDHFKJSDBGJKDSBG!!!!" Jab locking seems like one of those advance things that might understandably get overlooked. In fairness, I feel stupid and silly assuming it was common knowledge... At least you explain stuff it in your videos. :X
It's an awesome feeling when you jab twice, forward tilt then F smash that tipper with Marth but online if people have cheap/Laggy connection I haven't attempted to do it as much.
The jab lock is a fantastic boost to anybody's game once they've had some practice with it. I just have a hard time noticing that my opponent missed a tech and acting before those 25 frames are up.
Syed Adib There is a certain mindset to this. Probably something to do with people thinking they are perfect and can never be wrong. Something along those lines.
Shulk can "kinda" lock with a Buster N-Air, buster reduces nockback. Ive only been able to lock with Shulk Buster N-Air with two hits before losing the oponent. And that's starting at 0%... I typically end with a down smash. :D
Wow, did those guys even watch the whole video? You said explicitly that you can't tech, yet they said you could... buncha scrubs acting like they know everything.
LODBredCat yeah buster still has crazy knockback. if you think about it, he doesn't really have a proper jab and all his tilts and aerials have knockback so it makes sense that he just can't.
The easiest move to jab-lock/reset with is the first hit of snake's side tilt. Your enemy is unable to tech, but is set tumbling at very low percents, the move also works to jab-lock itself, so timed properly, you can repeatedly hit the side tilt first hit to land tons of low knock-back hits.
Then counteract his points because anyone can lie but that is not considered a fact, just an assumption. You need to prove he is lying by counteracting his points otherwise you have nothing to say but your own opinion on how you see this.
WOW LOL you should've put those people who commented like that on blast yo. Calling you stupid because they didn't believe what you were saying even though you gave an explanation as to what was happening and why it was happening. Don't worry tho the real smash players who actually love every single smash game and actually gave each of them a fair shot instead of comparing it to melee (which, dont get me wrong is probably the most fun smash game with project M being a close follow up IMO) will understand what you're talking about. Great videos! keep up the good work!
It's actually been confirmed that Shulk does IN FACT have a jab lock/ lock or jab reset. It can only be done with Buster forward tilt, but is ineffective at higher percentage since the knock back increases. It can only be done at lower percentages and is highly effective on stages with platforms( Recommended on Battlefield ), since in Buster, it is hard or impossible to force an opponent to go into a falling animation at lower percents, so you would have to rely on platforms and force your opponent into a fall back animation in order for it to work, but be wary that it can only be connected with the forward smash since your opponent is knocked very far from where you are standing when doing the lock and it's the quickest and most ranged move to get your opponent when they get up.
I love how those people were trying to tell you that you were wrong, just because they couldn't do it themselves. lol
He even explain in the video that no one could tech or anything
Jalen Harvell He did mention it actually, you just didn't pay attention
ShaDis.255 That's what he was saying. It seems like you aren't paying attention.
Tur-Kei
Got me there :P totally guilty lol
ShaDis.255 Sorry if I came across as rude lol
Melee: This one's too short
Brawl: This one's too long
Sm4sh: This one's juuust right
Lol
Smash 64: Aparently doesn't exist.
+Alexander Marc most of the smash community is 12 dude...they don't even know that the N64 exists xP!
Ummm. Don't know if you guys watched the same video I did but, Jab-resetting "didn't come into existence until Melee". So....yeah.
Fang, the Fencer Sorry, i was assuming in your original post you were talking about the speed of the game.
Robin: Now that's strategy ~
Lol you did that to me one time With Zero Suit XD.
Termagantflea 55 ^^U
It's hilariously funny that you say that mainly because in his original video he stated the only character who cannot preform this combo is Robin XD
ironic considering Robin is the one character that get's screwed over the most by these jab locks(They don't even have a "true combo" from the previous video)
I'm three jabs ahead of you. ^-^

You would know a thing or two about “wrong”.
TheTranquilTreecko 😂😂😂😂😂😂
But you know what isn't needed? Your hipocrisy!
Charizard gives a free jablock if you shield his flare blitz since he can't tech the recoil animation.
Didn't think about that
Anthan Krufix However, it the Flare Blitz connects in the air...you are totally able to tech with no problems
Anthan Krufix Not only that, they'll take free damage.
+Vinson Games yep have fun punishing those flare blitz guys too much scrubs spam it anyways.
there is just something satisfying when I jab lock then uppercut a charizard with mega man after his flare blitz got blocked.
Shadowof Oblivion I only use it to recover, tho.

Loving these guides! - Keitaro
I love your guides too
wait your keitaro? i thought you were false a moment ago
DjSoSmoove I'm guessing both of them manage the channel
Yeah, you could learn something from them.
RIP Keitaro

And then Falco's laser still locks at 999% 4 years later in Ultimate.
Dude the throws don't lock themselves ish. Look, the moves in the description are for the moves to use when they're grounded not for setting it up.
MSC, sorry you had to deal with these people. You've garnered so much popularity that even the trolls or "ignorant noobs" and I use those quotations explicitly have even subscribed just to troll and test you.
But don't worry, just keep doing what you do and be real and you should have no worries.
I swear every video you have made so far is a gem. Thank you so much. This is really helpful.
As stupid as those comments were, they did end up giving us a Jab Lock tutorial...so I guess it's worth it.
I'm glad you explained it in more detail (I never actually knew the frames, I just did it by feel). Thank you!
I'm amazed by how many people doubted those were true combos when you clearly explained that it was untechable and that you were jab locking them in the previous video.
I love how those stupid youtube comments were immortalized at the beginning of the video.
Thanks for the list in the description. Extremely helpful and some of the moves I didn't know could jab lock like Falco's Ftilt.
I hope all those people from the intro are ashamed of themselves.
Probably still trying to disprove him.
That intro is Godlike
Good response. Shame so many people think that they are really good at Smash, and didn't even bother testing and showing proof that if the combos didn't work.
Also, does jablock>Rest still work in some fashion for Jiggs? Or are there no good setups?
You can ftilt lock to rest. Her short hop nair can be a good set up into the lock at the right percent range.
My Smash Corner
Why do you short hop+rest in your video of rest punish
My Smash Corner Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. :)
EnderCraft93 It's easier to land a rest when you jump.
Do short hop Fairs work, Ambrose?
I can't believe you even went through the trouble of explaining this to people that insultead your video and effort without knowing what they were saying! that's dedication! love all of your work :)
Sadly people will inevitably still claim that one could escape these in the other video, hahah.
Regardless, great video once again, and thanks for the list.
4 years later, I'm just now discovering that my combo was featured in this video. Thank you everyone for made this possible.
Hooray for outdated tactics!
I noticed you can lock with Roy's sourspot fsmash, which is quite silly. Might require some decay though.
+Doopliss In melee against spacies you can jab reset with sour F - air
+Doopliss All of Roy's sourspot attacks sound like he slapped them with a piece of paper. It is quite amusing actually.
+Brigg Higby but for that, his sweetspot hitboxes are quite huge and strong
he can also do it with the start of his final smash
I love how you call staileing decay
nice tutorial
kek'd at the people who called out msc for 'stupid combos'
Kekekek
I'm pretty sure in the last video when he said it would FORCE a neutral get up it implied that they couldn't roll.
I bet the people who said it doesn't work tried it and weren't able to pull it off. lol
hermesleao "I can't do it... Meh, must not work then."
Great tutorial! You explain this mechanic in a very easy to understand way.
Jab-locking is why Battlefield is my favorite stage.
Thanks man this video made me realize I've been jab locking people all the time with Fox's forward air. I was always wondering why do these guys never tech and just stand up right into a up smash. Now I know
I don't recommend punishing with up smash if the opponent isn't at kill percent our main kill move shouldn't get stale try punishing with f smash instead :)
Considering up smashs damage, it's a great punish. You'll use enough moves to un stale it. Seriously, it's bad NOT to use it for punishment.
Carson Eastman just no.... well if you want to kill opponents 20% later with up smash then good for you
and knowing is half the battle!
DarkFox2071 Forward smash is weird for me idk i don't like it
Another amazing vid. If there was an award for best smash tutorial channel, we all know you would win
Ryu's Home run bat can wall jump tech jab lock at 14,000 percent. Confirmed.
What
I thought you had to air dodge grab air and then tech jump?
What about doing the jump roll cancel tech fair
I really respect you for being so courteous towards people who
1: didn't seem to pay much attention to your previous video
2: are being straight up rude in their comments
3: attacked you personally for being wrong when you clearly WEREN'T, because they have no idea how to play to the game and they don't listen to what you say

Shulk(normal/jump/speed/shield/buster/smash): Sweet 2nd hit of D-air, sour/tip b-air, F-tilt, S-Special (front side only)
Shulk(buster only): F-air, sweet B-air, D-smash (more consistant if soured), F-smash (2nd hit)
Sonic: First hit of F-air, B-air, F-tilt
Toon Link: D-air
Villager: D-smash (0% - 999%)
Wario: B-air, Motorcycle thrown, F-tilt
Wii Fit Trainer: Back/Leg part of F-air, U-special, S-Special (point blank/gettin' slapped part, not the ball)
Yoshi: Sour F-smash
Zelda: Uncharged D-Special, first hit of jab
Zero Suit Samus: No more
By the way, there are actually a lot of "hidden" jab locks in this game. What I mean is that there are a bunch of moves capable a jab locking but cannot due to how much damage the move deals. Thus, must be modified via custom equipment in order for the move to lock.
O_o Nice one!
Misspelled Zero SUIT Samus
Man thanks I'm going to read this every day when I play smash
Man, this channel has grown. I remember subbing after your first video after I found you on twitter.
My favorite comment from the start was the "Smash is dead" one.
Just about everything said in it was the opposite of the truth.
It's always good to keep your audience in mind and keep them in formed. It was also fun to see how the lock changed over the course of the games.
Sucks that people didn't understand this, but at least it made for a helpful video. Amby knows his stuff guys, don't doubt him!
It's annoying to think some of the "You can roll out of jab lock" people didn't watch this video and are spreading the news that you can roll out of jab lock.
I guess the 21 people still aren't convinced.
It's sad that the people thought you were lying....either way, keep up the fantastic work! All these videos have really helped me form some of my new play styles!
Your videos are always so helpful! Thanks for the tips!
I hate how people were being a-holes about the true combo video, but I'm glad you made this video in response since I didn't know how to do this.
Charizard first hit of u-smash jab lock too! Don't hae the footage but I did it at low percent on a Lucario, the last part of the first hit lock, with the end of the wing ^^
Danish did so in a Charizard montage
Yes I saw it when he releases it, really impressive how he can set-up this lock :D
Thanks for the video I knew this existed in all the smash games and I do it I just didn't no how far or how much of a advantage it gives you. Once again great video and keep up the good work :)
The people who disliked are the people who got corrected in the other video
This guy makes some great tutorials. Clear, easy to understand explanations with corresponding in game examples. Thx bruh
Someone please call out to the people who made those comments?
+Captain Falcon (Chris Gousse) Didn't the video itself do that well enough? He didn't blur any of the names...
IQuarent I mean, link them to this video.
Jameel White I'm just wondering how they felt...
+Blaze Taleo true
This was the first video i watched from you, and that beginning made me laugh so hard and now i cant stop watching these tutorials. XD
Woah, I remember when he had 3k subs. Tht was like 3 months ago
Lol he had under 100 subs when i found him ^^
BRIE same
Man your really special! Would you like a golden star?
☆
I know just from his first 2 videos he was insanely popular.
0:30
Neve noticed how sassy you sound until today
I love it
I know most people dont like them competitively but the mii should always be considered for these 2, but dont worry i've saved you the trouble of testing ;D (this time lol)
Mii Brawler: F-Tilt, Sour N-Air
Mii Swordfighter: F-Tilt
Mii Gunner: Nothing
i tested a couple different height and weight Mii's and it seems to depend on the move itself rather than its knock back, though like you said at later %'s it wont lock anymore Because The Knock Back
Loving these guides, very informative and good production value. Thank you so much!
ok, you seemed to miss some locking moves
Jigglypuff: f-air, dash attack, down air (first hit)
Mr game and watch: d-air (not landing)
Kirby: rock (grounded) d-air (first and last hit but dont land on them) sour n-air neutral special, (with abilities that lock, such as falco's lasers)
Wario: F-tilt (very low percents)
Robin: D-air, Book
Bowser: d-air (not landing)
wii fit trainer: f-air (you have to hit with feet) d-air
There may be more, these are just ones that i know from the top of my head! (not dlc characters, because this came out before they came out)
Wait what? Kirby's down-b can jab lock??
+Kids Rojo Which robin D-Air? the levin sword or the bronze sword? or both?
+Kids Rojo Do you mean like, the shockwave of kirby's down-b? Because I feel like the actual hit would... You know... SMASH them? xD
+Brigg Higby kirbys down b doesn't have a shockwave
and it does lock, but you would probably only use it once
+Kids Rojo weak f-air for jigglypuff right?
Thank you so much for putting the hard work and details into these it helps me so much with Smash. I know you always have a solution to any problem :)
I dont understand the moves like sour N air what is that? Can someone translate the moves please
Camilo Gomez Sour = weak part of the move. N-air = neutral aerial attack.
My Smash Corner ohh thanks
Camilo Gomez A good example of a move that has sour and sweet spots is Ness' back air. (I main him, so that's why I just happen to know) Even if it's easier to get the sweet spot...
Camilo Gomez if you don't know already or for everyone else, a good example of this is Captain Falcon's knee.
The Sweet spot is the electrifying hit that does a lot of damage and knockback.
The Sour spot is the knee touch that does almost no damage and knockback because the player activated the knee too early so the electric power became gone and and the prolonged hitbox results in the sour spot.
***** Me neither!! I just found out my comment did!
8 likes now!
I love the intro how the messages show up with the music!
I am new to all this, what is teching?
+The Redstone Regime When you get hit and you see yourself rolling/stunned in the air. Then press L while you're in this state, the moment you hit the ground.
+LeapingGnome56 Remember that the GCN Controller has a Z Button as well, not only the nunchuk
+The Redstone Regime You can also tech against a wall (in most cases) allowing you to stay near said wall instead of bouncing off of it.
+Roger Sanstrom Did you know that every character can wall jump on a wall tech? Even for those who cannot wall jump, if they wall tech and they press jump, they'll perform a wall jump tech, is really useful
Wow this community is awesome I got an answer right away when I asked. Thanks to all who answered.
"Cannot roll back, cannot roll forward, cannot attack, neither stay on ground"
And then there was born Smash Ultimate
Okay, in the true comboes video, you showed us the best ways to end a jab lock combo with each character.
Then, in this vid, you told us all the moves that have jab lock cababillities.
As a follow up video, you could get even more specific by showcasing how to best initiate a jab lock with every character (apart from letting them drop of platforms)
Just like you showed it with pikachu and fox.
If you're not going to to that, then at least please tell me how to best start a jab lock with sonic and jiggs.
This is actually something I really want
Ignore the ignorance that people say you spend a good amount of testing everyone you post as I've utilized some of these vids consistanly just keep up what you do and become the number 1 smash 4 channel!
Wait, could Shulk do this while in buster stance?
buster actually reduces knockback so it might actually be easier
Shulk cant jab-lock unfortunately
fenojack I'd say that's fair enough since Shulk already has a bunch of different things to work with (though they can also be used against but that's all dependent on the player)
fenojack *Shulk can't jab-lock normally.
Thanks so much dude! These videos are constantly improving my game. Make a million more!
Could you update your description so that we can see the lab lock for the dlc characters?
This would be helpful, yes. I play Roy a little bit. Much less frequently, Mewtwo as well.
+Mick Vang
I'm not sure if this is a full list, but here it is
Ryu: Sour N-air, D-air
Roy: D-air
Mewtwo: D-air
Lucas: Last hit of D-air, the tip of D-tilt, Sour F-air
Take note that all moves that meteor, excluding moves like Fox's F-air, jab lock, but only before they play the meteor sound effect. Little Mac's D-air only works because it meteors, but it works so well because it never plays the meteor sound effect until a much higher percent
Thank you very much, Toaster the III!
+Toaster the III
For Ryu, Hadoken also locks.
Chuggaapie Ah yes. I learned that in Beefy Sm4sh Doods video, but thanks for letting us know, brother.
Here's what I've found so far regarding jab locks with the new DLC characters
Lucas: F-tilt, Sour F-air, D-air (except 1st hit, last hit only up to about 100%), B-air (both, sweet at low percents), N-air, tip of d-tilt
Roy (edited): Look at MilloSakuraba's response below.
Ryu: Sour N-air, All three Hadoken variants (neutral special, quarter-circle, half-circle), Sweet B-air (low percents, the sweet spot is the thigh)
naverick22 Roy have locking capabilities :
Tip B-Air 0% to 45%
Tip Side-Smash 0% to 25%
Tip Down-Smash 0% to 25%
MiiloSakuraba Ah. Thanks. That's kind of hard to execute though.
naverick22 Roy can f throw to weak hit bair which jab locks.
I learned how to lock with ness today
PhilipOllila Master see you at Evo.......
Congratulations! *No Sarcasm here, that is actually pretty cool*
Why do you say that Carlos, I was complementing him
Final Shine When you bold no sarcasm and the compliment
You're a lock-Ness monster.
This is very helpful, although your true combos video explained it really well, its good to know how you can do this without platforms. Now I just need to go practice teching and I'll be one step closer to being better at the game.
I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT SMASH BROS 2 WEEKS AGO AND THIS VIDEO IS A FRAUD
I'm joking for all the serious people of youtube
spartan117i2008
get out! get out! out!
8/8 m8
How is that a joke.
SylvesterrSan he was mocking the people who just heard of smash and think they know everything.
I didn't doubt the combos, but I had no idea about this concept. Thanks for explaining.
What does "Sour" mean?
Weaker part of a move, the opposite of sweet spot. For example, missing with the right spot of Zelda's aerial kicks results in a much weaker attack.
Thank you very much :D
i love the opening to this video, shots fired. thanks you for all the helpful tips!
So as much as I would want to go:
"NOOOO YOU CAN'T ROLL BACK AND FORTH GAAAAAHHHKJSDDHFKJSDBGJKDSBG!!!!"
Jab locking seems like one of those advance things that might understandably get overlooked.
It must be patched because I have tried it a hundred times and everytime the character gets up quickly after usually the 2nd hit
It's not patched. You must be timing it wrong. Try with other chars.
" I can't get it to work.... Must not be possible. "
Syed Adib There is a certain mindset to this. Probably something to do with people thinking they are perfect and can never be wrong. Something along those lines.
Dude it depends on who you're using. The guy said as much.
Syed Adib Remember, you only have 25 frames (or a tiny bit more than a 1/3 of a second to jab lock.
I love him he's so fucking calm about it. He's like "awww, you guys! Jab lock, guys!"
My smash corner how many frames are in a second
+Jake Sands this game runs at a perfect 60 frames per second
Except FG
Raymond Jr Tieleman FG runs at 60 too
***** I'm kidding I was talking about the lag in it :p
THANK YOU SO MUCH you are a game guru from the heavens, that has come down to give knowledge to the ignorant.
The people who made those comments and sent those PM's must feel really, REALLY idiotic. Hahahahahaha
Me: (hears DKC theme at beginning)
Also me: AWEWOO
"Shulk: Nothing" I'm not feeling it. :(
Shulk can "kinda" lock with a Buster N-Air, buster reduces nockback.
Ive only been able to lock with Shulk Buster N-Air with two hits before losing the oponent. And that's starting at 0%... I typically end with a down smash. :D
That Andre Hamilton guy is waaaaay to salty. Great video dude :P
Wow, did those guys even watch the whole video? You said explicitly that you can't tech, yet they said you could... buncha scrubs acting like they know everything.
0:09 'This barely passes as a smash brothers' Andre Hamilton, 2015
*slowly cries*
Robin has a footstool set up, but can't jab lock... lol
Btw, rip your reply lol m2k
You made people feel stupid but then again some didnt understand it very well. I was wondering why my jab lock didnt work very well. Now I get it
Your voice is fucking beautiful... I watch your videos as a bedtime story cause your voice mindfucks me with a romantic passion
I love how everyone was calling him an idiot when they didn't even test it by themselves.
Sucks that shulk doesn't have one
***** shulk cant jab lock cause all of his attacks have crazy smash. kid needs to learn to hold back, jesus.
What if you use Buster? That decreases knockback, but seeing his crazy as fucking shit knockback then I'd see why :P
LODBredCat yeah buster still has crazy knockback. if you think about it, he doesn't really have a proper jab and all his tilts and aerials have knockback so it makes sense that he just can't.
I got jab locked by shulks f tilt when he was in buster mode before
Buster locking would be sooooo satisfying.
It's a shame that so many purple think they are so good at smash and called your last video bad etc. If they only knew
People* not purple lol
I love this video, and this channel. This video brought my level of play to a whole new level.
neverenough1415
Just saying... 0:11 The video literally shows you that you're wrong, and you comment that anyway. :/
loool
i think i commented that on an older video...
I'm so glad I watched this again. Cause I definitely 4got how Jab Locking fully works.
Um, guys I *STILL* think he is lying!!!1!1 You can obviously roll out of these. Not a true combo!
Heh lol.
Then counteract his points because anyone can lie but that is not considered a fact, just an assumption. You need to prove he is lying by counteracting his points otherwise you have nothing to say but your own opinion on how you see this.
Jinsei Cast UM he is lying cuz i sed he is! that is legit proofs rite there.
*****
Right right and I claim you are just a troll who is seeking attention which I've just fed.
Jinsei Cast Sarcasm isn't in your dictionary, is it?
WOW LOL you should've put those people who commented like that on blast yo. Calling you stupid because they didn't believe what you were saying even though you gave an explanation as to what was happening and why it was happening.
Don't worry tho the real smash players who actually love every single smash game and actually gave each of them a fair shot instead of comparing it to melee (which, dont get me wrong is probably the most fun smash game with project M being a close follow up IMO) will understand what you're talking about. Great videos! keep up the good work!
Great video! Excellent content. I admire your patience to continue to try with an otherwise ignorant crowd!
Just learned how to jab lock with Sonic, all thanks to this awesome video.
0:15 *insert ness meme here*
Thanks for the video! I was really struggling to do this a couple of days ago with certain characters and this really helped!
I love these uploads and tutorials!
Fan Tas Tick Job!!!
For some strange reason I'm afraid to challenge this guy in smash. This guy knows almost everything. *everything*
These are sum rly nice techniques my dude! U have to be a gud player to understand stuff this technical for anyone who thinks this isnt legit.
