Amazing review! Thans for your work! Do you think that the i7-16GB-1TB-RTX 4050 versions at 1600€ price point (current Lenovo promo) could be a good bargain for smart working + sporadic gaming session? I also need to often bring the laptop on the airplane, so bulkier/bigger form factor would non be ok for me. Based on your experience, do you think that there could be any better option in this price range? I'm mainly worried about only 16GB of RAM...
Yes that's a decent deal imo , u can get an rtx 4060 at that price though in other laptops. You might want to look at asus zephyrus m16 , zenbook 14 pro and legion slim 5 too . I agree that negatives are: 1. having only 1 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port - especially since using a USB-C dongle with 85W PD pass thru does not negotiate and does power the laptop 2. low battery life 3. thin, creaky, flexy bottom cover

Great review guys! Really interesting comparison! A small little nugget I was curious about. Why does the RTX 4050 of this laptop comes at the same MSRP as something like the Aero 16 OLED, which has a 4070. It seems a pretty big price discrepancy to be completely honest. Maybe the quality is a bit higher but that's a pretty big gap i think...

None of those models have been in stock anywhere, and it was tough to find exact pricing. So these might not exactly line up with what real-world pricing will be in the end.
I’d love to see a similar comparison of the gpu’s in the 14 inch model. Although, I wonder if any GPU other than the 4050 will be made available in the 14 inch model since I’ve only seen the 4050 in the wild despite initial reports that there would be other gpu’s available.
I'm really looking forward to the tests Lenovo Yoga Pro14s 2023, 14,5" 32gb/1tb, i9-13905H, RTX 4060 8gb. But apparently it will only be available in the Chinese market.
1) A dedicated power port is always better than a USB C power port because after a few years when the port loosens, then the power pins on the wire plug have very less surface area to connect to the laptop so it becomes very unreliable to power/charge the laptop. Sometime it charges others not! So the dedicated power port is a plus point for the 16inch variant as it is a crucial port for any laptop! At least the 16inch has one usb C. Usb C devices are not so common. USB A are ubiquitous; whether mouse, keyboard, pendrive or any other USB A peripheral. Only multi-port docks require usb c. 2). About the creeky noise : Yes it is surely a quality issue for the price we pay. But people waste metal. 3). The 14 inch does not have the dedicated navigation keys: Home, End, PgUp, PgDn. But in 16 inch you can get their dedicated experience when the Numpad is off.
