Hi love videos but pls show us more scenery where you are, more outdoors than in xx
If Valdez wasn’t awesome Richardson Highway, we fell in love with
We are 70 years young and RVing from Southern California. Currently, we're in British Columbia after spending a week in Jasper NP and 3 days in Banff. We did all this without booking any reservations! You guys inspire us! We are retired and are VERY flexible so it works. Next week we'll be in Waterton NP in Alberta then heading to Glacier NP in Montana. Life is grand when you "let 'er rip!" Love you guys (and Dexter, too)
That’s a gorgeous drive ❤
Glacier NP is so far the most beautiful place Ive ever visited. I wouldnt want to be driving an RV on the Road to the Sun tho. Go in from the other side.
@@rawx485 We are going in thru Whitefish/Kalispell. How is the road that way?
@@vonnie316 Sorry Ive only been once and it was 5 years ago. I can't remember roads well except that the Road to the Sun was very narrow, has a straight drop down on one side and not even a guard rail. I'm sure you can find pics or videos of it tho. I can tell you I highly recommend Avalanche Lake if you like to hike. Its not accesible by vehicle.
Check out the %110 NATURAL food producers in BC to discover stock up on, or send home.
Make it to the island & Chilliwack if you can.
You will NOT be disappointed. 🎉
You guys made this so down to earth that I think even mere mortals could see Alaska without having the Hanks "celebrity status" (which we all clearly know you have).
Incredible video!
I LOVE THE TWO OF YOU, YOU ARE LIKE PART OF MY FAMILY NOW!
Popped the Q on Worthington glacier 6 years ago. Finally tieing the knot in 21 days!!
My parents took me to Valdez, Alaska when I was in high school. We drove the Al-Can Highway and my Dad poured over Milepost, marking the stops he wanted us to take ("Oh! Here's a place that serves pie!" LOL). Of course it RAINED. A rock fell from a mountain and landed on the road just ahead of us. Dad and I hopped out of the car (we were tenting) and heaved it to the side of the road. Those glaciers have really shrunk in the past 40 years!!! It used to be an uncommon thrill to see a glacier calving. Now it seems like everyone who goes to Alaska gets to see it. I'm so happy you were able to have Capt. Fred telling you about the area! There's nothing better than an old sea dog to show you around and tell you the history!!! Yes, I need to go back to Alaska. Thanks for taking me along!!!
I am thoroughly enjoying your journey. Camera work. drone, music and commentary. You make the drive so we don't have too. Thanks.
Glad you enjoy it!
Cool video. You guys are out there hangin out 🤙
‘Otterly’ amazing video ❤ 😊
Valdez is beautiful and the color of the glacier amazes me. That blue ice is so cool. That water fall was spectacular. Thank you for taking us along and sharing.
You guys rocked it with the video!! I lived in Anchorage AK for 26 yrs - Valdez is a beautiful place and you totally captured it! Taking the drone to the top of Bridal Vail Falls was super cool too! I’ve seen the falls only from the bottom 😉
Good job!
One of your all time best!!! I am retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and all during my career I begged to be stationed in Alaska. Kodiak was my dream location. Oh well it never happened but I guess I shouldn't complain too much as I did get to spend most of my career in the Caribbean. But the footage you shared with us this week is absolutely breathtaking! Alaska has so much to offer. Thanks Hanks!
Thanks for your service brother/sister!!! Worked with several PSU units at the Kuwait Navy Base on 3 different deployments.
Thank you for your service. @@seabeevet9285
That looks beautiful! This is going on the bucket list for sure!
The two of you are so entertaining and informative. Love your videos❤️
Wow, loved this toned down version!!! Lots of great information without all the drama and overacting! Great great job! So much more enjoyable when you keep a lid on it and just be normal!
Thanks!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This video brought back many memories. We did the Inside
Passage Cruise in 2016. Then we did a two weeks trip in 2017. We fly into Anchorage, rented a motor home, and traveled with my brother and sister-in-law in their 5th wheel. What an awesome vacation! The best one we’ve ever taken. We went from Anchorage to Denali, to Fairbanks, to Tok, etc. Then back to Anchorage. Our trip and stay in Valdez was fabulous. Thanks for sharing!
Your bunch of footage with music was so great! It was like I went on a little vacation!
Aww thank you very much for saying this ❤️ We appreciate your support!!
I loved the music at 9:27 , jmo lol. Love the vids!!
Howdy Hanks, it's great to see you today.
Well it is easy to support you, you make content that is watchable from beginning to end! Great job you guys. Enjoy it.
Thanks so much!
love y'all from a formal travel nurse!
I am absolutely enjoying your journey through Alaska! Valdez is spectacular!!! Thanks for sharing all of the information and details of your experience!
We would have loved to take our RV to Alaska, but the long trip wasn't doable for us at this time. Recently took a Princess cruise from Seattle to Alaska with a group of friends on a 3 city stop. Was probably one of our best experiences and relaxing vacations so far. Food was pretty incredible too.
Loved Valdez and the road into it. Beautiful
🎉Home on disability after surgery and I’m binge watching your vids! Love the content! Great info and light-hearted chatter! ❤
Wow!! Absolutely stunning video!! Made us feel like we was right there with yall!! I’m so jealous!! Wish we was there with y’all! Happy Camping and Safe Travels! ❤️❤️❤️
Nice meeting you Nae Nae at the Carrs in Palmer. Maybe next time I can meet Carl.
Valdez is my wife and my playground in Alaska. We end up there multiple times a year and will even drive over for just the weekend. The boating and fishing out of there is terrific and the locals, though a bit quirky, are so very nice. It is our favorite place in the state.
So great to meet you!
As a resident of Valdez, you did a great job talking about our little town but the big earthquake was 1964.
I was there last summer. Despite losing my iPhone in the ocean, now every time I use mine, I’m reminded of Valdez, it is truly a spectacular place. Glad you got to experience it.
We love the sound that glacier makes….kind of like pop rocks…
Alaska is so beautiful! Bucket list perfection! Thanks for sharing. The video was awesome, I could tell Dexter was impressed.
Hello Hanks!
My husband and I will be full time RVers on 9/1/23. We just purchased 2024 Artic Wolfe 3550 Suite. We are very excited. We will begin by “boondocking” on the side of our sons house. We have enjoyed catching up on your videos. You two are a hoot. We look forward to keeping up with the Hanks and D.
Great stuff as always Hanks!
I have a bad habit of watching and then not hitting the thumbs up button.... I went back to hit thumbs up on a butt load of videos... love your adventures!
LOL! Watch from the beginning. I tried that but I do like watching the Thursday night video and then just binge watching from the last video. I'm up to?? Well, I think a meet up in Florida. Love you guys and so glad I happened onto you. I wonder who else is out there that I would enjoy. Thanks for taking us along.
Nice video - yes to the music options
Favorite vid! Go Hanks!
I love your approach to Alaska. You are talking about places that most tourists do not go and cover them in a very cozy, comfortable way. Love your vids!
One of the great stories about Valdez is a 9.2 earthquake hit the town on Good Friday, 1964. Afterwards the ground was so unstable that they relocated the town 4 miles away. The residents were told they had 3 years to move. After 3 years, the structures that were not moved were burned to the ground.
😮
What many people don’t realize is that the 1964 earthquake shook for FOUR AND A HALF MINUTES!!
My mom and dad were in Valdez that day. Said it felt like kids were jumping on the bumper of their VW until they noticed the power poles moving. They lost friends who were on the dock in the harbor, which slid into the bay. They were homesteading @ 10 mile. Was a scary experience to say the least.
😯😟
Your photography is wonderful. Thanks.
Lovin that wildlife footage, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the great shots and insights! Always enjoy your videos. Be safe!!
Thanks for showing us the sights! I love watching your videos.
Chai Tea is my favorite, I really enjoy all your videos. Fun to watch. The information you give out is amazing. We are just weekenders , So we live out adventures with you.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
spectacular scenery
It’s me again! 😜
Awe…. You were so close! I live 30 mi south of Seattle!
Next time you’re in the PNW check out the underground in Seattle. They have tours and it’s amazing. I’ll be stalking you guys in about 3 years! Getting closer ❤️❤️
I love learning about all the stuff I’ll be doing soon.
Valdez is our favorite town in Alaska. Just the scenery on the drive down is worth the trip.
This is the first time watching your video. I really enjoyed it. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
Your photography……with the music!!!🎉😮❤
Great video, my daughter and my grandson’s just went a few weeks ago to Alaska. They loved it.
Valdez is stunning. I am surprised y'all have stayed exclusively in southern AK. I have been exploring AK by motorcycle since I was your age (so starting about 35 years ago). 30-40 years ago, when the sea ice was more stable lots of boats would offer tours by which you'd get off the boat on to a Glacier and have brunch, shoot skeet, hit golf balls, etc.
Yes, yes, yes finaly nature footage.....add more!!!!
Inspired!
Thank you for being youzz…
You Hanks people really do a great job on your videos. Love watching!
My favorite video of yours, so far. FANTASTIC job. Thanks
Do I see a Hanks tour on the horizon? To Alaska? Baja? Tampa Show? Anywhere. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Thanks for all that awesome information, it looked like a great time.
I was just going to say... those snippets are fricken amazing! and then you broke in and said... um, just footage with music. Yeah that was a pretty great montage. nice.
Thank you! Love the framing, the edit, the content- and most of all- we love y’all!
Thank you sharing this wonderful journey with us. I’m loving every minute of it.
My hubby and I look forward to watching your journeys each week 😍
My daughter who now lives on the Kenai peninsula years ago said to me, “Dad, there are 2 seasons in Alaska, winter and construction.” And from all of my trips up and back, you find that is true of Northern Canada also 😊.
Thanks for all the work you put into sharing your adventures with us! Especially Dexter. I don't know how he finds the time. And thanks for keeping it real. I want to go full time and your honesty about the pros and cons is a huge help. Alaska is amazing!
This is best video you have ever posted artistic wise. Between the beautiful scenery and the music, fantastic! Thanks Hanks!
The way y’all did Alaska seems better than the cruise way!!! Still enjoying your videos 😊
We loved Captain Fred and the LuLu Belle!
wait, is this about Valdez or video editing? too much fun!
We too enjoyed Valdez. So much that, we made a detour to hit it up a second time this summer to see the sealions feeding at the hatchery. Now we detoured to Hyder. We are making the most of Alaska.
Went on same boat we left at 10:30 and returned at 8:30. Well worth the trip. We only had one section of road that was being repaired. As you said lots of pull outs to look.
this is an amazing journey/life y'all are on thanks for sharing.
Love the LuLubelle. Wonderful trip, but I have wonderful story about her. About 8 years ago, my 32 year son and I did this. We had already boarded, when a young woman boarded, she lived in Anchorage. She liked the way Andrew looked,
but didn't know how to approach him. So she came and sat by me. Long story short, they are married and have a 4 month old son and currently living in Falls Church, Virginia.
Gosh! I'm sooooo jealous! Thanks for sharing your adventure and knowledge. BTW, it's only 107 degrees here in Texas 😁
Great video!! Lived in Anchorage for 5 beautiful years!!! LOVE seeing this gorgeous State, especially through your eyes💕💜💕
You guys are freaking hilarious! And good info too!
Wow! What a great video!!! Thank you!!❤
Thanks!
I have really enjoyed the trip through Alaska with y’all! Thanks for sharing 😊….. Lisa
Thank you so much 😊
You ought to do on a motorcycle. No roof, windshield posts, door panels floorboards, nothing but sky, snow drifts, mountains and water falls. In 1990 I hit Vadez, Seward, Homer, Fairbanks and the Arctic Circle sign on the haul road. If there was one place to go before you die, it's Alaska.
1964 good Friday was the 9.1 Alaskan Earthquake
I absolutely love you two! I've been watching for a little over a year. Your adventures, especially this one, are truly amazing. Alaska was never on my "bucket list" until I watched your journey. I absolutely have to go there when we retire. Like I said, I love watching your vids. Your ups, downs, mishaps, etc., are always worth the time. You two are a match made in Heaven. Thank you for sharing and as always, Safe Travels!!!
Agreed. Alaska wasn’t on my bucket list but it is now after watching these three. As soon as I retire-we are headed to Alaska. Thank you Hanks!
Great video! I commercial fish Prince William Sound for decades back in the 70, 80 and 90’s. Fished out of Valdez a lot, even mooned the Lu - Lu Belle and everyone on board back in the day! 😂😂😂
Good show guys. Thanks
As a long time Valdez visitor, yes there are a lot of rv parks. June and July usually has space but in August during fishing season, good luck!
Yes we are going to Cruise Alaska at the end of September, and can not wait. I’ve been twice before and can’t get enough. Thanks for the preview.
Thanks for taking us along.
Another GREAT video, super content.
One of my favorite videos! #ThanksHanks BTW my husband is wear his #Thanks Hanks shirt right now. ,😊
Love your channel so helpful
Really enjoy watching your videos it's nice to see an uplifting couple, and you don't sell stuff 😀 be safe.
We are enjoying your videos!! Keep up the great work! We are not full time RV’ers but we are also very new to this adventure!!!
Alaska looks beautiful. Thank for sharing!
Valdez is by far my most favorite spot in Alaska.
Hi Madison! You and me both 😃 What a great area to visit. It would be our first place to head back to if we had the chance
Did you stop in Haines?@@HappilyEverHanks
Valdez is on my list, and that boat trip! You're the 2nd U-Tuber I follow that has been there recently. Unbelievable place and wildlife! Thank you for sharing your experience!
I enjoy your videos, keep making them
Always enjoy your videos❤
First time I saw the Columbia Glacier was in 1971 on the Alaska Ferry, We could just pull up beside it and it was so amazing. Took one of the Boat trips out of Valdez in 2004 and there was so much ice we couldn't get with in 5 miles of it. But the shocking part was how many miles back that glacier had retreated aprox 10 miles. In 71 it was a vertical 300 feet tall above the water from side of mountain to side of mountain.
Thank you. We’ve never been to Alaska but currently planning our trip. This video helps a ton.
Great video, I was there in 1986, beautiful area.
👍
