Awesome stuff. Love the shot of the young bald eagle! Kalyn and I had the same "What in the world is that" reaction when we saw an immature bald eagle on our neighbors roof in Florida. (way back when we did that whole "sticks and bricks" thing.)

That is so scary. You totally did not over react. I am so glad you are okay. Just to give you some positive vibes, I am so glad I found your channel. I got the idea to sell my house and move into an RV full time a year ago and searched and searched for someone good to follow and finally found you 8 months ago. Your positive vibes and excitement have kept me going. I'm in the vicious cycle of no pay raise and higher bills, trying to afford getting my house ready to sell. My good friends I've secretly told think full time RVing is so me and your videos make me so happy. They are awesome, inspiring and realistic. So I'm nervous, but good nervous, and you have made me feel welcome like I can make this dream come true. Thank you so much for keeping it real and fantastic! Your videos are fun, funny, heart warming, educational, and so much more. I hope we meet some day!!!!

Great video guys I appreciate all your contact and I enjoy watching it.
I just thought I would pass this on to you guys. I have a 2019 Chevrolet 3500 diesel truck just like yours. I had to get new tires for my truck and I looked around at a lot of different brands of tires. I had the old trans with severe winter rating and I wasn’t really happy with them when it comes to off-road conditions and traction on and off road. I was told by some friends that pulling trailers to on and off road. And they told me about Toyo open country R/T-Trail Tire. It is a new tire and it’s only been out for a year. And it’s has a different construction them up Toyo open country R/T rugged terrain. It was developed and engineered and designed for over Landers. It’s a Record Tire aggressive traction, along with having a strong carcass. The sidewall isn’t a three play sidewall like you would have honey regular RT tire measuring tire. The Toyo open country R/T Trail has a normal to play sidewall but it’s extra thick. So you get the extra aggressiveness of a maturing tire and durability of him a train tire without the Steph ride of a mud terrain tire. This tire was designed to spend as much time off road as it does on road. So after hearing all this information, I decided to go ahead and try it and I bought a set of four for my truck. And I will tell you they look fantastic in the handle really nice. They are just a little bit noisier than an all-terrain tire but not bad. The traction on North Road is amazing and the tire handles very nice on road as well. Antonio also boxes tire up with a 45,000 mile treadwear warranty. And a 45 day 500 Miles customer satisfaction warranty. If you’re not happy with this tire at all within that. You can bring it back for a full refund. And I will tell you this tire may not last as long as the ones that are on your truck, but the extra traction in my opinion is well worth it. And I’ve also had this tire out in heavy rain with my truck and it handles flawlessly. It even handles in my opinion better than the all-terrain with a severe winter weather rating on it. Great traction on wet roads and zero hydroplaning.

Well, it looks like you folks had quite the stop at Anchor Point. Kyllonen's is a great campground but yeah its tight. We just had spots 9&10 a couple weeks ago and it was all I had to back my travel trailer into spot 10, its 32 foot bumper to ball. Even with my extra short short bed Silverado I had to wiggle into the spot. But once in, the hosts were great and took care of us. We brought our ATV's and did the epic ride from Anchor Point to Homer on the beach. Not to brag, it was 4 days of sun and blue skies while we were there... perfect ATV riding weather.
So the bird and what is it. Its a juvenile bald eagle. They start out more what you saw, good camouflage for young birds then as they mature the white head and tail come in and the solid dark body colors take over.
The tsunami alert! I was camping in Cooper Landing at Cooper Creek South Campground at that time when that tsunami alert went off on both of my phones. Nothing like being in bed winding down streaming a little TV and all the phones which were on silent go off! I read the alert, worked the geography and looked at Coco the RV Adventure Cat, she said we were fine, I agreed and turned off the TV. If the Tsunami came that far, the mountains would become islands...
Its always fun watching people do travel shows of my home state. Sorry about all of that rain. Its been a wetter than usual summer. Usually June and July are pretty dry, but that also means a good potential for forest fires and the Kenai Peninsula needed a little vacation from those. You probably noticed the burned trees between Cooper Landing and Sterling...
Any ways, just wanted to chime in about Anchor Point and we'll always have Tsunami... 😅

Kenai local here. We get those warnings frequently. Everyone ignores them because they are never right. Someday, there will be a real problem because no one will evacuate when we should. It's a broken system that keeps getting money thrown at it, but doesn't get better. Also, Alaska RV parks are not truthful about their site sizes. We have a 40' DP (American Eagle), and run into that often but mostly just boondock ourselves. Fun seeing you guys were at Diamond M, that's a great family. Actually less than a mile from our house, but we were up on the Denali hwy when you guys were down here it looks like. Always fun seeing your backyard featured on people's channels though. Possibly a golden eagle. And the Salty Dog, you guys are just too cool for school. We were in Homer for the tsunami warning as well. We were at the Heritage RV Park on the Spit when the warning came. We drove into Homer as our GPS indicated the Spit was -10 above sea level. LOL.

We were staying at a camp park on the beach in Florida. We were told there was a bad storm in the Gulf with large waves and that the incoming tide was going to ne extra high and the campground would flood and to evacuate. That wasn't so scary but it sure was inconvenient. I can only imagine what it was like feeling a need to evacuate for a Tsunami. I am glad it turned out to be safe for you. You guys are really good about staying safe all the time. Keep up all the good work!!

So glad you're safe! You were very responsible in what you did. Better safe than sorry. I think the bird was a golden eagle. Love the moose!

The eagle is just an immature eagle. They don't get their adult feathers that give them the distinct white head and tail until their 5th year. Love watching your adventures.

Wow, my wife and I were in Homer at the same time, but we were at a BnB, on the mountain about ,1,000 ft above the town. We heard the sirens go off around 11 pm. Quite the added excitement to the Homer leg of our trip!

Glad to see that you are enjoying the weather. It only rains when you want to have fun. Hopefully you had time to go to Seward a great place to visit. Will you be visiting the Napa Valley on your California journey?
