You asked “And this is based on a true story?!?!” About 13 times bruh 🤣 -Real talk tho this is one of the only scary movies in the last 20 years that really gave me the chills.
I was waiting for this comment😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fr bro, I seen this in theaters when it came out I was like 14-15 years old…this movie had me shittin my pants in theaters
Part two is a masterpiece
These series of conjuring and insidious are my favorites
@@WishYouLuck1991 the first sinister is good too
"Let us possess this family in peace" that just had me laughing out loud
LOL I caught that too
He's SO funny 😂
Andrea Perron actually wrote a book and did many interviews, and she said that this is actually dummed down from what they really experienced, that the real events were even worse. In reality there was no exorcism, the dad threw the Warrens out in the middle of a séance because Caroline got thrown across the room, and all of this scary shit continued for 10 more years after the point in which the movie is set because they simply did not have the money to move. They had out of body experiences, there were ghosts of war soldiers haunting them too, like, A LOT more happened in real life than the movie depicted.
😂😂 sure it did....
Hahaha!
I LOVED her books!
Craziest thing about this story? The real Annabelle doll is a sweet-looking Raggedy Ann doll! I think that makes it even more freaky because it looks so cute and harmless that you would never imagine it could be so evil. The bulk of the items from that room in the Warren home, including Annabelle, now reside with their nephew, John Zaffis who is a paranormal researcher. He specializes in taking care of cursed items.
I heard that people that talked trash about the doll to her face ended up getting into a bad car accident.
Yes, I've seen it in footage of the Warren's house. I had a raggedy Ann doll growing up, so glad I don't still have it 🤣
One generation of grifting passed on to the next
I have one of the original dolls. Only comes out for Halloween. lol
Lol the original doll looks even more creepy wym
ur by far the best reactor cause you’re so all over the place but u can tell it’s genuine and u aren’t forcing it 😭
YESSSS DO MORE SCARY MOVIES! Lolol. Ur one of my fav reactors! Especially cause you havent seen many good movies! Keep going bro

He’s my favorite too! I’d love to see him react to The Exorcism of Emily Rose, it’s one of my all time favorites!
Lmao he’s by far the most entertaining reactor
@@dillonmanning5612 forreal. And hes a good sport about it, even if its a scary movie. Always has a genuine funny reaction

Between “let us possess this family in peace” and “Abigail missing”.. I am done 😂
I find the documentaries of these stories told by the real families that lived there way worse than their "based on" movies, because Hollywood makes them all the same... But when you got real people detail every horror they heard, seen, and felt done to them it hits home differently. Especially when the children become targets, and as a parent how do you protect your kids from this? Not everyone can afford to just pack up and move, especially if you just moved into a new house. I couldn't imagine living through that...
Well it’s not real…
Amityville was made up
@@DynamiteProd Hi friend, Idk if you mean the movies aren't real or that nothing haunted ever happened because demonic things don't exist. Either's fine, I'm not trying to debate if demons are real or not with anyone. And while I do believe something happened to these families, I don't buy the crazy flying around the room, bloody demon vomit, or upsidedown chair BS. And any story with the Warrens is always made into a crazy Hollywood horror where only 10-20% of it's true. But from real life interviews of the Perrons, Hodgsons, and Snedeker family (Haunting in Connecticut). I believe that these families really did go through something. But that's just my opinion and what the heck do I know?
My group was actually the first to spend multiple nights in the real house. If you want to, you can check it out on my channel! It was pretty freaking nuts lol
The books about this story are great. House of Darkness House of Light. Written by Andrea Perron who is the oldest daughter.
I remember watching this when it came out. My dad knew I was watching a scary movie and decided to tap on my window from outside. I nearly jumped out of my skin 😂
My dad did the same type of shit to me
Couple of good Dads
Your dad is a champ! 🤣
My dad used to do that too lol. He'd grab the clothes prop from outside and bang on my upstairs bedroom window. He thought it was hilarious, but it scared the living daylights out of me.
Sounds like something my brother would do. He scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. He hid under the basement stairs, pulled his dark turtleneck over his head and jumped out at me. We had just moved in and I didn't like the basement, there wasn't much light down there.
You are a cool and open minded brother and always full of energy. That makes you so good. And you cut the films so well all the time too Always glad to watch films together with you lol🥳

This was honestly a surprise. The first Conjuring movie is probably one of the best horror movies out there. You should watch the Insidious movies Leo.
Also Leo. Had a pretty awful day today. Just got home from work, rolled a joint and smoked and you’re the first person to make me laugh all day. Which is an achievement for how today has been. Love your reactions man. (Looking forward to GoT season 3 too). You have a one of a kind energy and personality. Keep up the good work 🔥
This is a franchise. Check them all out. I didn't care for 2 through
@@daftoptmst 2 is great but 3 is kinda weak in my opinion.
This movie is truly a scary movie.
@@daftoptmst really? I thought it was better than the 1st - one of the few horror films that genuinely creep me out. Each to their own though
@Andrew Mohan the second is the one when they're in England? I just didn't like it. It didn't scare me at all, and I thought it was very slow. I've watched so many horror movies over the years. it's my favorite genre; it takes a lot to scare me or even hold my interest. If I get bored, I'll finish it, but the thrill is gone
I love horror movies. They don't scare me, I just like to feel the atmosphere. But that scene from The Conjuring with the witch sitting upon the wardrobe just fucked me up man. I thought I'm about to die from heart attack right in the theater.
So they do scare you...
@@formxr "I have a pretty high pain threshold, but getting stabbed really hurts."

@@formxr pretty sure he said it how he meant it
I want to buy my best friend an antique wardrobe thanks to that scene.
Leo, a couple of rules for horror movies:
-If there's a lone tree in a garden, someone suicided on it or got sacrificed by having their intestines nailed to it.
-If there's a basement or an attic that's where the ghost/poltergeist/vampire/entity/maniac WILL murderlize the inhabitants.
-Any form of light, flashlight, candle, mobile phone won't work during the night or a blackout.
-The family's pet will be the first to notice that something's up and will either be the first victim or survive it all, no inbetween.
-Any female character will have at least 1 scantily clad scene.
-If there are dolls, teddy bears, kids toys at some point they will all face towards an inhabitant or the screen.
-If there's a black dude he'll die high or having sex. Sometimes at the same time XD
Whether you believe in the paranormal or not the history and career of Ed and Lorraine Warren always amaze me! Lorraine is a clairvoyant, someone who is able to see or sense spiritual activity. And fun fact in the shot of the classroom they're teaching, as it pans to the wife of the haunted house you see an elderly woman in the front. that is the real life Lorraine Warren attending the class!
Also there is a difference between demons and ghosts, not everything haunted is demonic in nature. Ghosts can be good or bad depending on their history. In this film the ghosts were Rory, the maid and Rory's mother, spirits who are not at peace because of what the demon made them do.
Finally as Ed told the reporter why they keep the cursed objects it's the safest option cause there is the threat that if the object is destroyed it releases the force instead of keeping them trapped, and if they get rid of everything like the kids who tried to get rid of Annabelle it could fall into the hands of somebody clueless or just end up returning to them. It's never easy to just throw away a cursed object as everyone think it is, and some cases it just makes the spirit more angry.
Lorraine passed away a couple of years ago. So she and Ed are together again.
"Call the army. Call the president" lmfao!! So funny!! This is one of my favorite horror movies.
Very true bro! Mrs Warren just passed away a few years ago. You can actually see her in action on the reality show paranormal State. She's the real deal
This was a good one brother Leo! The first Conjuring movie really reinvigorated the horror genre in the 2010s, so this (in a way) is already a classic 👍👍👍

Your joy at watching movies makes this so fun to watch. I have no idea why I like watching someone else watch a movie!!??🤔
But I do. I only watch you, and one other movie reactor on the regular. Blessings to you Mr. Video!!! Keep bringing the heat
This is in fact based on a true story , but the thing is that the actual hauntings that happened were at least 10x worse than the move, there’s a books that one of the daughters wrote about that house and the stuff that went on !! This movie was just the tip of the iceberg 🤩
What makes it scarier is that one of the daughters (the oldest one - Andrea Perro) or the mother herself I’m not sure who, said that the movie is very on point to what happened in real life but the details are creepier. Also one of the younger daughter snuck into the cellar and watched the whole thing from the top of the stairs so yes, THIS IS A TRUE STORY.
You're seriously my favourite reactor out here, Leo. Every single video of yours that you upload makes me cheese from ear to ear, I just got home and smoked and sat down and saw that you'd uploaded this and it made a crappy day a lot better. Thank you so much for all your reactions, its like being with a friend 🥰
Lmfaooo he was so damn stressed during this movie lol loved it!!! He should watch the whole conjuring series.
The true story at the beginning usually means it’s probably gonna be scary
Haven't seen the 3rd one, but I liked the first 2. This one is probably the best horror movie I've seen in the last 20yrs IMO.
Yes this is based on a true story, HOWEVER, "based on a true story" or "inspired by true events" does not mean that the events in the movie are exactly what happened, usually far from it.
Not quite, I believe it was Andrea Perron or the mother herself who said that the movie is very on point to what actually happened in the real house.
@@anabel5205 Maybe the paranormal actions themselves, however even the house in the film is ridiculously inaccurate.
The actual house is almost tiny by comparison and the story doesn't have the same happy, definitive end as the film shows.
Instead the Warrens were a small piece of the 10 year history of the Perrons on that land, and that ended with the father decking Ed Warren in the face and banishing him and Lorraine from thr property, for making things worse.
Absolutely love your videos - you are one of the most entertaining reactors and I’m always excited when you post something new. 😊
I love the set up! I love you're reactions. You're just real and amazing. Keep it up. I especially love you're game of throne reactions 🥰💙
Laughed my a** off at your reaction. Loved watching it. This, the Insidious series and the first Sinister movie are some really good recent horror movies. I would love to see you react to Insidious and Sinister some time

I know you don't really love horror movies, but your reactions are always enjoyable to watch.
Having said that, it's storming outside right now --- so I'm jumping at your jumps.
Ed and Lorraine Warren would visit colleges and talk to students about dabbling in the dark arts (like in the move and she is in the audience sitting up front if you look close), I went to see them in the late 90's at Temple University and they showed the real photos of all the cases they worked on. Lorraine was a medium and Ed grew up in a haunted house. They are both passed now, Lorraine about two years ago. They were very respected in paranormal community.
33:54 “Oh my God I’m gonna have a heart attack by the end of this movie” I can’t stop laughing man that was funny🤣
"...Let us possess this family in peace"😂😂😂. Man I wish I could watch every movie would you.
Omggggggggg finally you’re doing scary movies 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾…… I’m proud of you, you sat through it lol.
*ps can u PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE review “ORPHAN” ty ❤️
When a film says “based on a true story” or “Inspired by true events” it usually means the director heard about a story and then they make their own version.
For example “Unstoppable” is a movie about a runaway train that has no engineer driving it. The true story it’s based on did have a runaway train with no driver, but it was eventually stopped with no issues.
The movie has the train pulling a bunch of fuel tanker cars that risk derailing and it causes damage along its path.
There are documentaries on the Warrens....about Amityville case mostly...but there is a lot of footage that supports most of this version of events.
Check out the interviews w the girls grown up. The house messed their childhood up real bad.
Yeah and, in this case, the real Ed and Lorrane Warren were likely charlatans, but nice middle class ones who were charming and made for a good story. Plus, their son-in-law has pretty much monetized their names.
Look at the Coen brothers, they put the "This is a true story" in the movie Fargo when it's a almos a completly fictional story just loosely based on a real murder. When they were asked why they put that disclaimer on the title card. They just wanted to make a movie in the spirit of a true crime story.
@@sandpiperr they got into a pretty glorious feud with Nat Geo that resulted in some of the earliest modern instances of what people call "shitposting" as well.
I had the stop the video half way through.....I was laughing my ass off with you jumping getting scared 🤣😭😅
Awesome reaction, love how much you got into the characters and the story. Can’t wait for conjuring 2.

My guy, you GOT to watch Hereditary.
Literally the modern day The Exorcist. On every account.
Now this is our kind of movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've got lots of horror movie suggestions.
Our favorite is the 1976 version of Carrie.
Yes! Sissy killed that role
My favourite is "Sinister"
Mine is Hereditary
"Version"? That's the original! LOL
I always had trouble watching this movie even though its amazingly well made because the Warren's straight up caused the destruction two people. One due to their insistence that a guy who obviously had schizophrenia just needed an exorcism and the girl he stabbed to death.
I'll give them this though; they pissed off so many people in the academic community that it actually created a period where genuine scientific study of the supernatural began. And that is a good thing.
The Conjuring is in my top 2 favorite scary movies! I enjoyed your reaction Leo, I always look forward to them🙂
R.I.P. Ed & Lorraine. You did good work and helped alot of people.
Leo the only dude to recognize how Lorraine is literally a superhero in this movie - unlike usual “superhero” movies where the protagonist damn near flies to pluto to fight a mutant race of caterpillars with a cult of characters from NYC. She literally sees the dead, endures the danger, and protects the family at the house, and family at home. Great vid bro!
dude i would love to watch scary movies with you. you get into them legit!! LOL i love those kinds of movies...do more reactions on them. watch all the conjurings and the nun.
I hope I feel like I was in movie part in few feel like flash back past life look back at the house in a few timeless timeline time travel

When you called Annabelle Abigail I laughed hard. Abigail the doll from Haunted House 2 with Marlon Wayans
So much content lately! Love it
7:25 Lmfao yeah I wouldn't advise having your headphone up loud for this 😂😂
Love the reactions, recommendation Texas chainsaw massacre 1974. Can’t go wrong with the classics, and it still holds up in my eyes, with an ending that leaves you jaw dropped 😁.
I don't like horror films much (I think most of them are just stupid) but the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one I really enjoy. It's how blunt everything is played. Pulled no punches. That last 20 minutes is insane and horrifying. The psychological shit is what scares me, not the slasher stuff or jump scares. I think it's why Asian horror films are truly terrifying. They get into your head. The original Ringu freaked me out. I laughed at The Ring movies.
I've read the books that one of the daughters wrote about the family's time in that house and if what she says is true then what really happened is so much worse than the movie.
Yes, the oldest daughter Andrea said the movie didn't do the haunting justice! 😳😳😳
What is the name of the book?
@@RoseTintMyWorld-cr5zo it's actually a trilogy called "House of Darkness House of Light".
It was way worse than the movie and it was about a woman with a crooked neck not bathsheba. The event that happened in the dining room in that cabin the girl said still haunts her to this day and when her dad punched Ed in the face it was most likely deserved. Bathsheba's head stone had to be removed or was vandalized because after the movie came out the poor innocent womans head stone had to be removed or went missing because it is no longer there.

Blessed often and kept under lock and key...but ragedy Ann dolls are every where still...this doll in the movie looks like the doll from "Saw" with a different face paint job.
