      I just bought a used set of oem silver 16's as backups. Didn't know 17" was a better price. Now im regretting it 😄

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  Год назад +2

      I only bought 17s because the 285 tires are cheaper on a 17in wheel rather than on a 16in wheel.

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  Год назад +1

      At least that's what initiated the search for 17in wheels.

      Yes, that's the size I went with.

    I love the design of these wheels. Really wish they came in a 0 offset! If I eventually Titan swap I'm probably going to switch to these.

    Looks great ! I stayed with 32 inch LT agressive extreme terrain tires and stock height for the ride, power and gas mileage as I do mostly logging roads and roads up to Look out towers and hiking trail heads and some light off roading, and my xterra is quite capable off road. looking at maybe a two inch lift in future.

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  8 месяцев назад

      Hey thanks! We switched from 32 LT tires to 33 P tires 😂 We only do mild off-roading but we've encountered a lot of deep holes on dirt roads. So we switched to P rated tires for the daily driving and 33s for the dirt roads. We are also looking into a lift but that won't be anytime soon.

    Welcome to the rabbit hole there is always room available for one more poor soul LOL
    but man those new rims look amazing good choice ! are those rims hub centric or lug centric mount ?

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  Год назад +1

      Haha thanks! I'm pretty sure they're hub centric. They are supposed to be a direct replacement for stock wheels since they're Nismo wheels. They're a little bigger than my stock ones... 17x7.5 vs the 16x7 OEM ones.

    On the back of the wheel, what country does it say it is made in? I can’t find this info online. I’d assume it was Japan though?

    How is acceleration feel? I got my xterra originally with 265/70 16, then upgraded to 265/75 16 and felt a little difference on take off but always wondered what the 285 felt like

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  Год назад +1

      I've noticed no difference but I have the 3.36 gear ratio and the 265/75/16 was stock. So it wasn't a big jump from oe for me

  • @erikpetrie637
    @erikpetrie637 5 месяцев назад +2

    Those bigger tires definitely fill up the wheel well. Is a lift kit in your XTerra's future?

    whats the difference between the stock wheel, and the nismo? is it just that its 17 instead of 16?

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  8 месяцев назад

      Pretty much. The original ones I had were 16x7 with a 30mm offset. These new ones are 17x7.5 with a 30mm offset. So basically 1 inch taller and 1/2inch wider. Very minimal difference

    Is your xterra 4x4 model or pro 4x?

    • @_moes_garage_
      @_moes_garage_  7 дней назад +1

      It's the "off road" trim. Which is similar to the pro4x but on the earlier 2nd gen xterras
