In 2019 I was dying from advanced fatty liver disease and heart failure. Through first low carb, then keto and for the last 3 years carnivore, both conditions have reversed. Today I am 60 pounds lighter than in 2019, feel great and see my future as open ended. Meat heals, carbs kill.

I started keto in the fall of 2022. Went carnivore in the beginning of 2023. I started out at 275 pounds. I’m down 80 pounds. And it was easy! Once you realize how much trash you’ve been eating and how it was destroying your body and quality of life, it’s easy to not eat that crap again. The plus side is you lose weight, lose metabolic disorders, lose pain and inflammation and lose pills. It’s a win win win!

Sugar addiction is real, keto is the cure. However an incomplete 100% carnivore diet will provide short term fixes but then also.
Vitamin C deficiency (scurvy) - Lack of fruits and vegetables can cause scurvy over time.
      2. Fiber deficiency - Leads to constipation and poor gut health.
      3. Vitamin K1 deficiency - Found mainly in leafy greens, important for blood clotting.
      4. Folate deficiency - Essential for DNA repair and cell division, found in plant foods.
      5. Increased cholesterol levels - High intake of saturated fats may raise LDL cholesterol.
      6. Kidney strain - Excess protein can stress the kidneys, especially in individuals with preexisting kidney issues.
      7. Electrolyte imbalance - Lack of potassium and magnesium from plant foods.
      8. Gut microbiome disruption - Reduced diversity of gut bacteria due to lack of fiber.
      9. Bone health issues - Low intake of calcium (if dairy is excluded) and vitamin K2.
      10. Increased risk of certain cancers - Diets high in red and processed meats are linked to colorectal cancer.

200lbs at 5'2" is definitely NOT normal. I know from my personal experience at 5' I was 176lbs (very similar ratio to OP). Went low carb to remit my diabetes (successfully) and ended up losing 25% of my weight (44lbs) without trying; only light weights, stretching and strengthening exercises due to back and knee issues (which have improved).
I have been either overweight or obese for about 35 years. I am now very close to what I weighed in the mid 1980s before I had my children. I'm having trouble getting to and sticking to my previous low weight and have wondered if isn't body weight but excess skin weight. Whatever it is, I'm trying to keep the weight off without getting paranoid about it. And it isn't to do with how I look, but how I feel.

I am horrified to see all the fat people on TV and in commercials. Some talk about losing some weight and show off how good they look - not realizing they need to lose 50-100 pounds more. Somewhere along the line, it became okay that people were overweight and people just let themselves become grossly overweight because it was supposed to be accepted. It's so easy to let yourself get heavy and ignore all the damage you're doing to your body. People need to take action and save themselves.

@@klarapen I'm not certain of the root cause, but all signs point to fortified wheat flour overwhelming my MTHFR 677 gene deficiency (can't convert folic acid well, I only learned of this deficiency 2 months ago), which led to my numerous attempts at remedy over the last 30 years.
Especially the last 10 years during which I tried many dietary protocols to rescue myself from chronic illness and autoimmunity, like 100+ symptoms, many of which disabling.
I ended up allergic to plant foods in general it would seem, according to RAST IgE. And I think the problem was compounded by my attempt at Veganism which led to high oxalate consumption and high doses of toxic heavy metals and pesticides from veg, herbs and spices. And my body began falling apart.
Tried RPAH elimination diet, didn't really work and took me years to find advice again. A few more elimination diets and medicines/supps later, I ended up at another "end of the road", but this time I was told to go carnivore by the last person to give up on me. That was July last year.
Went onto skinless chicken breast with butter for a couple months, supplementing with ElementAll Diet because I was too underweight, found myself reacting to it, swapped in hard boiled eggs.
Began recovering and even building my muscles back. Truly remarkable, like I cured 90/100 symptoms in a month after decades of decline. But I hit a plateau, and 2 months ago I was lucky to find someone who wasn't a doctor, which somehow meant they cared about me and my history and my blood test results, and they saw what looked like MTHFR problems, so they tested me and found it.
5 or 6 weeks ago I tried macadamia a few times, blueberries too, came out the way they went in and I reacted very badly.
Got "meds" and "procedural" updates from my naturopath last month.
Coconut water and "sour cream" seem to have passed the tests I did over the last week.
Today I ate 30g of broccoli...fingers crossed. Maybe my leaky gut is healing now and I can start reintroducing plants?
      Gotta take it slow.

The Inuit also had a much more active lifestyle than we did, and imo being outdoors and in dwellings that were well ventilated compared to ours, makes a huge difference in health. It makes a huge difference in how a person feels.
They used every part of the animal, and ate more than seals, but primarily seals for some.

lifespan is a poor metric. It's hard if not impossible to accurately calculate. It's also an average, meaning that it's based in the number of all recorded and estimated deaths and ages at death regardless of circumstance. diseases spread. infections occur. war happens. accidents happen. the arctic is a harsh and dangerous environment and they didnt have medical care. when lots of people die as babies/at child birth/ while birthing children and from other causes that really lowers the average age calculation. no antibiotics. accidents. danger. deaths at 0.

I tend to believe that when glyphosate is cited as a risk factor, it could be for one of two reasons: Firstly, Roundup was banned in much of Europe due to the presence of glyphosate, which is deemed harmful. Secondly, any antibacterial substance, including most preservatives used in processed foods to extend their shelf life, is beneficial to the large food industry but detrimental to your microbiome. This is also true for glyphosate residues, provided they can be proven to end up in our food supply.

We have gotten used to the idea of adding something to our diet to treat a disease or condition. Got an infection, take a pill. Got an allergy, take a pill. Now we do the same with diet-related disease; eat the foods that make you sick and take a pill to cope with the consequences. We need to change the mindset to trying to remove the cause of the disease. Eat healthy foods and have no need of prescription maintenance meds.

She looked at her at her past reports and said, “well, two years ago you weighed this, last year you weighed that, and now you weigh 104 pounds.” After a short pause, she responded, “ How did you do that?, I replied, “I got sugar out of my life.” She wrote on my report, ‘she’s on a very low carb diet.’ I know she’s not that naive, but I didn’t want any backlash, so I didn’t mention the word carnivore. To me, if you really want to miss something GRAINS taste WAY better and I've quit them completely... for a year and a half. I've experimented with a pc of sourdough bread, angel hair pasta... made me sick to my stomach for both. I CAN moderate...let me experiment FOR you. They are bonafide bad. Sad.
    2. Dr/Professor Thomas Seyfried will agree to everything cancer related that Kerry is saying. That man should have received a Nobel Prize by now. His research is groundbreaking!!!
    3. Pesticides & Glyphosates are AWFUL... flat out real. Did they have this problems BEFORE GLYPHOSATES??? THERE'S YOUR PROOF. That goes for dyes in our food, too. Doc, you mean to tell me that you cannot officially say that if you spray food with a pesticide that that would be 100 % unhealthy for a person??? Get serious. It gets absorbed into the plant and into the fruit and into our system. You can't wash it away with 10 to 15 seconds under a faucet, so I don't get why it's so tough for you to admit it. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ It's not even a tiny stretch to make that statement... it's logical and obvious. Go with it. It's not a stretch. You can't have a study for everything that is common sense related. Just realize something is what it is.
This is why it's taking so long for people and doctors to go to a ROOT CAUSE EFFECT to figure out what is actually wrong with us because common sense is way up on the top shelf and no one wants to take it down and use it use it, without an official study.
For me, Common Sense means let's go back and look at cave art... aren't there any drawings of salads, grains, fruits, starches, NO! IT'S MEN HUNTING ANIMALS .... it's ancestral. Again, it's not a stretch to tell people it's beneficial to eat natural... the way we were designed and created to eat since we were breathing air and drinking water. Uggghhh

You should consider getting one on one coaching from a metabolic health coach/provider to get guidance. You may need to simply eat more. You may just need more time. Everyone is different and you are very early in your journey. Good luck!

Sounds like you are under-eating so you need to eat more meat until you are satiated.
Also, are you eating the fat &/or adding extra fat? This will help.

@Om1t0n Yeah but I don't have the money to pay for more meat. Yes, I'm eating the fat. I actually like the fat grilled well. I eat the steak rare but lift it up and set it on each of the ends to get the fat cooked enough to taste great. And I put MCT oil and coconut cream in my decaf every morning.

Agree! I don't know how such intelligent doctors can have such serious blind spots - I do better on just strict carnivore, but even if I could tolerate some fruit (veges suck ha ha) I still wouldn't buy them because of glyphosate, not to mention GMO.
Eric was also promoting LMNT recently, not sure if he still is, and it is terrible for anyone with gut issues!!

I see people in their 90s, mentally fit, and physically fit. Some take blood pressure medication, some take statins.
These people walk to the store daily and talk to people.
I don't think there's enough proof humans can live till 150. Maybe? Will I have to retire at 120? Lol😂
I am 59 and healthy. No medication, and I am looking forward to retirement. Of course, work is fun and physical. I don't have a sitting down job.
With all the non ending wars who knows what will happen.
    Basically, enjoy the moment.

10:30 Great to hear you voice this 'option' (other types of evidence relating to individual experiences etc.) - I know the holy grail for you Eric is of course an RCT, however it is strictly not an option when it comes to humans / nutrition etc. However, BETTER research / experiments conducted properly, yes, even the dreaded studies leveraging self reported food questionnaires, can be impactful and give folks a number of options for taking control of their health rather than those limited to the interventions by MD's and BigPharma. 🎉❤ Happy New Year!

I eat once a day, unless I'm not hungry and I've done this for years.

    "...other animals don’t get addictions..."
Generally not but they have the potential to develop addictions. Various birds and monkeys will become addicted to fermented fruit, the offending substance being ethanol, that being the type of alcohol in alcoholic drinks. A percentage of animals will reveal themselves to be addicts by disposition.

Just a quick comment. I am 68 and into my 3rd year of turning my life around. Now that is not to say that I did not incur 65 years of damage to my heart and arteries but all metabolic diseases and symptoms and pre diabetes all melted away and I live in my 32 inch waistline jeans....the same size as high school. People and friends see me they say they want to do what I am doing and I tell them to eat red meat.....they ask if I am afraid of a heart attack, kidney disease or colon cancer? They are so funny and not a single one has ever made the switch. 😑
