Im 40 years old. I started watching these shows on tv when i was, like 14 or 15. They dont get old, and Im still jealous of their garage. Anyways, thanks for the content, for the last 25+ years.
Honestly the first thing you should do to make a modern Ford a functional work truck is replace the drive shaft, do all the recall work, and fix all the design flaws. Cosmetics come second.
Never a driveshaft problem or recalls in 20 plus years of boat hauling, even had a 6,4 for 3 years among other 6,4’s with very little to no problems. One egr and set of rockers in over 1 million miles between all my 6,4’s I have been driving 6,7’s since fall of 2010 with zero issues.
@@richarddubois5529 You must have an older truck then because most of their newer stuff has some sort of drive shaft recall on it. I know from experience.
My first mod would be a system protection kit for the crappy cp4 fuel pump before it inevitably explodes and ruins the engine and I would do it before anything else even another tank of fuel
My 2019 6.7 F350 is at 93K of trouble free miles. I've used Archoil AR6500 on each fill up since new. I even use it on my wife's VW 2.0L TDI since it also has a CP4.
Make sure to keep the camera far away so we don't see the surface rust on a brand new wheel bearing. I'm guessing they saved 20 cents a vehicle by doing that. Come on Ford, GM and Chrysler.
12:36 I have set of extended power steps on my 4" lifted F-150 (sitting on 35s), and after two years.. I still go "ahhhhh" every time I open the door and can easily climb in.. without a running board hanging near the ground.
Did not see drainage tubes installation on the Roll-N-Lock bed cover roll-up box. That puppy will fill with water without them. And you need to keep the tubes clear as they tend to clog from leaves/pine needles/etc.
9:35 I expect better from you guys - there absolutely desperately need to be washers under those nuts. You’re an example to so many people and have so many resources at your fingertips… inexcusable.
Agree 100% - that and the scene directly after where they are just letting the nuts fall to the floor with no care - sloppy work. Stopped the video right there and after this comment I think I am done with it. Glad they have them on that TV show instead of being out in the real world scamming working people out of their money for car repairs with that kind of sloppy work.
Shouldn't the winch be mounted lower? Looks like it's blocking all the airflow for the condenser/trans cooler, whatever that is right behind the opening.
Y'all done got Fancy....nope!!! I'd rather get a old crew cab Chevy and make me a crew cab I'd get me two Apaches and a 90s Chevy crew cab 4x4 frame! With the million dollar shop y'all got....it could get done
Sorry, but gotta say I don’t love that winch mount bracket. Would much rather see a setup that puts the winch behind the bar. I would hate to imagine the result of being T-boned by that massive unsightly protrusion. Zero consideration to other road users.
Why on earth would you pick a Super Dud Ford to spend money and time on when you could have chosen a REAL TRUCK with a RAM Cummins or a GMC / Chev Duramax?
@@josephf593, yeah it returns to the shop for more often, it loves service techs, hS a special relationship with the hoist and lifts it cab for routine service like a perverted flasher. And FORDS are notorious for creating greasy broken boat anchors out of crappy engines!
@@infernoking7504, the gas 5.4 Triton was a real lemon with cam phasers and several other serious issues. And I hear the Eco Noost in pickups hasn't been to reloable either. The old FE, 385, Windsors, 300 I-6, were great and I have a number of them
My 6.7 F350 is at 390k and doesn't miss a beat. Compared to my buddy's 240k 4th gen shipping crate that's leaking coolant and needs either a TC or a whole trans, or you can get a GM and replace front end components on the regular (IFS in a 1 ton truck? No thanks), or have a TCM failure that's on nationwide backorder for 6 months. F that. I'll work a Ford or an older International before any of the rest.

Too bad they can't get sponsors to pay them to showcase those products. The companies they showcase pay for the episodes.

Learned a LOOONG time ago to put Antisieze between the rotor and hub! Especially where salt is used on the roads!
Great video, thank you! It would've been really helpful to see the electrical connections for the winch and steps.
Came here to saw the same thing, would have been good to see the wiring of the Wench itself.
And like everyone has said, you NEED to update that CP4 to the new S&S Diesel conversion kit so the cp4 won’t kill your fuel system!!
Step 1: Throwing out OEM brakes to replace with parts store junk. Genius!
Damn near sucked those nuts without washers though the bracket it's supposed to be holding up
I thought I was the only one who saw that!!!😂😂
Bro I was thinking the same thing
I went back and watched it and was like holy shit!

On the front hub removal you put a socket on nut, extension through hole, impact on extension, pull trigger on said impact and bam nut comes off!
Iconic Silver metallic. Same color as my 22 Lariat Ultimate. Love these trucks, better than any GM ive ever owned.

As long as it gets oe filters on time, and maybe an additive every so often, it'll be fine. My 2011 6.7 F350 is knocking on 400k on the original cp4

Asking for a friend, Is powernation own by Summit racing?
More likely sponsored by....without sponsors there would be no show
The F-junk50 shouldn't know that tiny trailer is back there even a half ton would tow it.
Sweet build

PPEI does emissions on tuning and trans tuning, so that way EPA can’t kill y’all for wanting better behavior from your 10 speed and 6.7
Wish Ford brought back the 460.
Should have showed what circuit you used to connect the steps and door sensors. Love the show but not detailed enough.

Never work in salt/snow rust I can just see it “power running boards” sure
Pull the license plate off, pull the truck out and pull in an OBS and put the plate on it.
At moment 9:30, we have no washers under these nuts...
Duralast replacing factory brakes and that’s a upgrade I don’t think so Wagner qs on my f150 last 60,000 miles and give me great braking power

No, they’re making it pretty. Better swap in a Cummins or that powerstroke will yank their wallet from their pockets when it inevitably breaks…. 🤣😂🤣😂
