Lufthansa Business Class in 747-8 | Flight Report Frankfurt to Miami

- This was my first ever business class flight on a 747-8, and also my first business class flight in Lufthansa. I decided to fly Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Miami in August 2021, while the pandemic was still going on, and I honestly didn't expect much. First, I thought that the Boeing 747-8 was old and outdated, second, I never thought much about Lufthansa. I had flown Lufthansa in business class within Europe, but the seats were cramped and service was mediocre.
This business call flight in Lufthansa was a completely different experience, it was great. I loved their service, spacious cabins, ultra clean aircraft, and upon more research, I also found out that the aircraft wasn't that old at all.

I actually booked 88A before I watched this video. I thought maybe the seat had to sacrifice being against the wall but not! It appears to fully recline as it should. Great video!
You are correct, it reclines fully, and I think it is one of the best seats in the plane. I just took this flight again 2 weeks ago, and this time I was in 88K on the other side. The service and quality of food was once again fantastic. I like Lufthansa's consistency.
@@UncutTravel I have to ask - do you book bc immediately or econo and bump it up. I need a strategy. I’m not a high miles traveler but for sure go 2x’s a year. Daughter lives on Austrian border so Salzburg is my destination. I only go bc to Frankfurt and econ the last hour. Love Lufthansa though❤️

I didn't know this. I just flew on Lufthansa again to Munich in an A350 and it was the same 2-2-2 configuration. The guy next to me was no very pleasant and got offended when I tried to film (even though he was not in the camera). So this 2-2-2 configuration realy gives no privacy at all.

great review. I'm not a fan of the 2-2 or 2-2-2 configuration either. Unless you are travelling with a friend/partner the lack of privacy can be a drawback.

The 2-2-2 configuration is already a joke but this would make it even worse!
Yes the Armrest on the Windowside is removable…
Did they serve pre-flight bubbly while still on the ground or did they do away with that due to Covid?

Considering the pandemic situation Food & Beverage quality was good
it's too bad that they did not come up with a slider panel that could be drawn between the seats for privacy.
excellent flight review. I just stumbled onto your channel. keep up the good work. I have never flown Lufthansa. Typically we fly British or SAS. I used to fly the LTU TriStar L-1011 in the 90's to Munich (via Dusseldorf) when I lived in Austria
I also flew on LTU several times. It was a great airline and less expensive.
Thank you for the detailed report! Incidentally, we are flying NCE-FRA-MIA also in business in November. My first 747-8 flight! However, our connection time is tight (55 min), and you reported a long line for the COVID verification. Was it for the vaccination status, the PCR/ antigenic test, or both? Did connecting pax do it as well, or were they already checked where they boarded? Did they then recheck all that at the immigration in MIA?
I just came back from Europe on British Airways Business Class. The service was just ok and the meal selection not half as nice as in Lufthansa. Nice review!

You should try Lufthansa First Class on the 747-8 next time. I believe the Lufthansa First Class Terminal at Frankfurt has reopened.
Old and outdated? It was introduced in 2010! Also, those cockpit shots look like something off a desktop flight simulator.

I hate when they fast forward the take off and the landing. No showing the rest of the plane. I guess this all about the food, next time I’ll look for restaurants.

Lufthansa is a joke. I fly often with them. My last trip on April 8 2022 from Frankfurt to Miami on the 747-8 (retro livery), was terribile. The plane was't clean properly. The USB ports were full of dirt. The food in the economy was mediocre. I had beter Experience with delta on the flight back.
