Epic video, nothing like some petrol fun! in the Sunday sun! Last weekend I blew the engine on my Losi 5IVE-T 2.0. I put an after-market filter on it a few months ago and the rubber boot tore letting sand and pebbles in the carb and engine. Got stuck top dead center bending the connecting rod. I now have to hone out the cylinder plus change the piston and connecting rod. Oh, well. Some things are better left untouched. You live and you learn, lol.
Ohhh im sorry to hear that, i know how it feels as had the air filter come off a new engine and it ingested sand, they really don't like that, was lucky to get away with just a top end rebuild for £80 - hope you got your one foxed and back running at not to high a cost
Fantastic vid! The enthusiasm is coming across, you are much more natural on camera! Lookin like a pro brother! The gas rc’s are bringing the best out in ya!!!! I have been running my 30DN! Gotta get me a Taylor 35cc!
Thanks, the gas ones are so much fun, the electric are taking a bit of a back seat currently, think that may change with winter coming as don't really fancy the mud and stuff getting in the Losi's Watch the 30DN drive line on the bigger engines, you will likely need to put better diffs in, plus the clutch bell etc, just factor all that into the cost, dont need to upgrade straight away but it is likely those parts will fail under the extra power, but the 35 is a beast of a motor
You know what they say, "buy cheap, buy twice". I like to see people getting into the 1/5 scale (actual 1/5th scale) and am ok with people buying the knockoffs, but you do get what you pay for. I like my 5ive T and only buy top tier parts for it. Havent broken a part on it, just upgrades. Even my servos were still functional when i removed them. The servos i installed are $224 each though.
Indeed you deffo get what you pay for, but i do get why people buy the cheaper ones as its really the drive train that is where the weakness is. Found the Spektrum servo died very quick, hence the PowerHD ones, would like to get the AGFrc one for steering, but need to save for that at £200+ 😂 There is deffo something about really good about 5th scale cars though, and being Gas / Petrol Powered, just brings you into the whole experience.
@@HardcoreRC My servo is rated for 1453.5 ounce inches at 8.4 volts. A little overkill really and feel as though about 800 to 900 ounce inces is perfect, but i also like quality and durability. My servo is fully rebuildable and brushless. The servo wire is a style that actually plugs into the servo and can be replaced. The servo is still a Spektrum though but it is their top of the line. S9120BL.
@@SebastianLong Wonder what rebrand they are using as Spektrum tend to use a lot of other makes and rebrand, i know there Reef servos are rebranded AGFrc ones, does look good though and do like the fact you can rebuild the servo, can also do that with the AGFrc ones.
Your blue 5t handles lovely was a completely different drive to my one, always a great day out with everyone even if my cars prematurely disassemble themselves 👍
Thanks, few people have said the blue one drives really nice, going to have to hide it set up me thinks 😂😂 need to turn your down a bit i think - maybe go 6s
Quite a lot, i have linked to the Taylor RC website in the description where you can see all the engines they do. The blue Diablo 88 is just shy of £6,000 for the car and engine
Some great camera shots there. Looks as though a good number of the crashes occurring on the long banked corner before the start/finish straight are due to the dire state of the track surface.
Thanks, trying some different angels and view points 😂 The end of that long back straight is a pain, the track actually come up their by design, which isn't the issue as just take a bit of skill to take the right line, the real pain is the astro also lifts up and moved around, that then sends the car all over the place, it does make for some lively racing 😂😂 Hopefully the track will get a new surface soon
In the 90s I wanted to buy a Panasonic 3DO gaming console, they were out of stock, and the dude said - this is what you wanna buy, it was the first PS console $1500au import. So I went a brought a Petrol RC car.Now I had a couple mates that had Tamiya - Hotshot and Grasshopper, so when I started my car the first time it was so load we looked at each like WTF is this? and then when it took off we couldn’t believe the speed of this thing. The days that shock you, you never forget.
Wow i remember the 3DO, my mate actually bought one, was very good for its time. Petrol vs Tamiya would have been interesting to see - very true the days that shock you you never forget
Hey man LOVED the video, it does feel like a clone of Kevin Talbot BUT i loved the punk music during the RC driving bits and stuff your commentary during the race the sounds of the engines etc. i loved it! thanks mate for the videos and keep it up!
Glad you liked, trying my best to not be a clone of Kev, think some of it pulls through as we tend to use the same locations and like to beat the hell out the cars 😂😂 Callum does love driving the big gas cars, just a whole new experience. thank you for watching and commenting 👍👍

I thought your one was fast . But that 55cc sounded the loudest even over the 88cc . I’m shocked at the speed i once had an FG it was cool but weren’t that fast
These ones are on another level, then the ones we saw at the weekend 😲😲 but only really any good in a straight line. The sound really doesn't come over on the camera, they are soooo loud, the council received complaints about the noise
In theory they look great, but the big issues is there is no foam an they are rock hard, on the hard ground we currently have that give very little grip, once the ground softens up they could well work, expensive to find out though 😂
Not every British youtuber does, In fact i only know 3 that do. Sadly we are not blessed with many tracks where you can just go and have fun, the tracks that are for racing tend to be very ridged and you cant just have a laugh, the other users also tend to not be very sociable. Granted this track isn't in great condition and even the 5th scales struggle to get round, but that does make it more challenging and a bit of a laugh, plus the people that go are far more sociable, a location is what you make it, hopefully the track is getting resurfaced soon
Yea that track is ......oof. Every driver that goes there needs to get together and pull that hideous carpet up. Bring dirt in as needed. Its not like Kevin doesn't have the dough, he literally wastes dough everyday.
Sounds like a mid 90's motocross race. I love it and now I need one.
Very true, however the camera doesnt pick up how loud these really are - just crazy
