The french is one of my favorite black openings, so glad to see that you are making videos on it!

Thank you Eccentric Horse, it's very nice to see you again. I hope the pace wasn't too fast as I was trying to cover a lot in a not too long of a video while stopping at the key moments.

I'm looking for a low-theory alternative to my Caro-Kann and Sicilian at the moment, so the French seems perfect, especially this Rubenstein Variation! Thank you for the video

Very informative , I have had all sorts all problems playing the french when the the Knight moves to Nc3 on move 3. There is a marshall attack variant but it leaves black i think at a huge disadvantage compared to the Rubenstein, thank you !

I've been soley a Caro player and although I like it and I score well with it, I am bored! I needed something else to play and this looks like a great way to play!

@@Kestony I remember someone played this against me. I play the Tarrasch and I've studied and feel somewhat confident. I had never had Black just take the pawn and was very confused as to how to play as white. It's quite a different game. I lost of course!
I wish to create the same kind of confusion to white that happend to me haha

FYI your audio is on one channel hard panned to one side (one earphone/speaker).
