If you below 1000 and you walk your king like he done in the video most people won't know how to checkmate you trust Brody, everyone below 1k is so used to back rank checkmates. So if you ever feel like you in trouble walk your king
Sultan Khan is the only chess player in which I possess a book about (First published in 1965 as 'BMC Quarterly N° 10' revised 1977) published by British Chess Magazine Ltd. - He's my favorite player, mostly because of what he had to overcome, also he was obviously very good.
The strategy is based on old school Indian chess, in which castling is not an option. He capitalized on the impatient Romantic style. (Exception is Capablanca). It did not work out so well against Alekhine. Cf. My Greatest Games by the above. This is not to denigrate his natural genius, which can be found among Indian chess players and mathematicians to this day.
@15:05 "A man playing with his grandchild", incredible to describe a game against Capablanca like that but it does look and feel exactly like that is what you are watching somehow
best piece fo info i got from this video is discovering that chaturanga is even a thing. thank you 🙏🏽 I've never like the romantic hastiness and emphasis on learning openings. this style fits right with my pace
I didn't know of his existence, but I do now! That man had a plan each game without any traditional study of Chess, cool 😎👑🔥♟️! RIP Sultan Khan 🙏. He should be more well known though!
Those two bishops allow for no weakess in defening either of the two color complexes, and it allows for attacking and exchaning AND sacrificing on any square, when needed.
Alphazero also has a very similar play style. alphazero doesn't like to castle, loves beshops, slowly improves pieces while blocking opponents pieces, plays queen pawn opening. But the most intresting fact is that alphazero also never learned to play any opening.
Classical Chess did have theory but the openings could be as 20 moves long. Although there are a few hyper aggressive ones that take 8-12 moves. It was a common pattern to place the king in the middle. Castling did not exist & it was also a way to keep the King active.
I almost play like this often both black and white. Sort of Greek gift style from the London System occurrence and Lion System in Black perspective. I do also avoid castling when playing this two system opening to avoid theory that makes my opponent look stuck. I'm used to this strategy four years from now and my rating improve from 1600 to 2100.
Very very solid video TBH , i like how he analyzed and conclude the Plan , and how he actually do it in real chess games , i wish there is a game with black rather than white
Great vid, but very often you're moving the pieces way too fast. 4-5 moves per second, most people won't be able to follow or analyze that. If you slow it down, people will be able to follow what you're saying on the board, analyze and understand, and your video will be a bit longer, which is good for you (longer watching time on youtube.)
2:40 This position isn't bad in any way for white; he wants to play e4 down the road and break in the center - so he is actively fighting for the center which the presenter doesn't seem to understand. I'm disappointed that you should say that! I was hoping for an in-depth analysis. I'm guessing this channel is for sub-1500.
7:20 what weakness for the white? If the black decided to put the dark tile bishop on that spot then another pawn to block and eat one of the bishop? Then he can castle queen side..
I don't like this Style of chess I want an Solid & Reckless PlayStyle of chess What I mean is.... I want to do both Attacking, Defending, And Recklessly Sacrificing pieces to weaken the Castled king
Forced mate?? How.if he sacs queen then rook takes.another rook checks but the same rook defends.rook takes rook with check but have you seen white queen can take the black rook as the Queen was on same diagonal. He is frank Marshall not some average -3 elo boy

Natural genius of indians is like natural superiority of aryans. Imaginary and racist.
lot of Indian hustlers or chess lovers use to play like this without studying any chess books or theory and they are great.

Fun fact : most common first moves by Indian players who don't know any openings or don't study the game is g3 or b3

@ChessLion Can you tell us if he lost any games? Who beat him?
They say Petrossian played a bit like him
So he inverted the London opening somehow my thinking
How can someone play without learning 😮

He doesn't castle , so why did you say in @7:20 he needs the bishop to stop casting 😊
Wait on game 2 it's my own playstyle I didn't even claim it yet or check if someone plays it or stockfish approves of it

Who is the opponent in game #3 ?
I was 700 elo now I'm 2560
