We recorded this in December and I only upped it now. A bunch of what we were predicting or talking about back then is out by now, or even more advanced by now.

So true about AltairStealth creating the meta... I remember watching his "mirage stealth experience" video and saying "oh, okay I guess I'll just uninstall the game then, I can't compete with this." And then a few days later everyone was taking those same strategies to the next level. I'm glad I didn't uninstall. Mirage rocks.

Tons of folks are really sleeping on AC: Mirage, it's such a great game and one of the Best AC titles I've played in a while. Keep up the awesome vids Leo!
Love you Leo, you and other AC RUclipsrs have helped keep my love for AC alive while I'm waiting to be able to buy a PC that can handle Unity. When I played Black Flag as my first AC game, I was immediately stunned by the graphics, even on a Switch Lite and from a 2013 game. As I delved into the lore and gameplay, it really inspired a burning desire for physical freedom in me, and got me into the parkour world. I'll admit, I'm very much wet behind the ears still when it comes to parkour, but I'm glad I've been able to experience that feeling, that dream, for pure movement, flow, perfection.
You echo some of my own experiences, which is always fun to hear. When I was younger, Assassin's Creed is what got me interested in parkour and interesting thoughts on movement, perceptions of society, resisting tyranny, etc. Hope you enjoy all that!
Love this duo, the first collab was great and this is too. Love how you both understand and value AC and talk in great detail. Would love to see this continue. ❤
I would love to see you talk with Kenny_OC one day, not sure if their English is ready for that now but I have a feeling their personal insights on stealth choreography, an inspiring blend of immersive roleplaying and a fast flow of technical outside-the-box chains, could make for very valuable and interesting conversations.
I would genuinely LOVE to get Kenny_OC on the show here, but I'm worried that we'll be watching a video, and I'm just gonna be like "Ohh.." "Ohh my god..." the entire time...

i love this community of like skillful style gaming community, its such a cool niche, ive watched alotta them for so long, starting with Stealth, and just slowly finding more and more and to find out they actually talk and share ideas and hang out is just so cool to me
At the end of the day, this is a hobby for a number of people, and it takes some pretty specific skills and mindsets. So, it's always nice to be able to sit down and talk, and then realize "oh wow, you have to deal with X and Y issues too?" xD Fun times.
@@LeoKRogue fr, when i play games i often go in with the intention of pulling off the coolest stuff i can, and while i dont choreograph or upload vids, its still super fun to just improvise and see what happens, pulling off a super sick stunt makes me realize how stressful it must be in the later stages of these runs cuz I'll be sittin there like "damn that was the coolest thing ever, idk if i can pull that off again", but i at least get the comfort of a quick save or checkpoint after lmao, y'all just gotta keep goin

I waaaay under utilize tools, but love Unity BECAUSE of the tools. I will go through an area and then realize that I made it much more difficult.
Quite a common experience, yeah. Tools make more AC games smoother and a lot more fun, and they're usually pretty easy to get so practicing getting out of that item-hoarding mindset can lead to a really enjoyable time.
I just found AltairStealth yesterday and loved his videos so much it's made me reinstall Unity & Syndicate to give them another chance. I want to focus on being immersed in my gameplay and doing stylish stuff rather than just going for the objective

Definitely Basim with ezio combo kills with the throwing knives would be awesome i also wish the camera angles with the finishers was more pulled back and angled like the first game instead of showing only above his knees lol

About doing a Unity run to learn using tools or a no upgrade to learn to not overuse tools, I feel like doing a Deus Ex: HR no detects no kills run really made me learn to appreciate doing ghost runs and how to stretch tools in order to not get detected. Also a Luka Animus Drifter parkour chat would be cool (when hes not forsaking his school work)
AnimusDrifter / Luka would be REALLY cool to talk to on one of these.
@@LeoKRogue there’s also someone in sneakyserver called “triple7evenn” who is super cracked at ac1 movement tech. Sadly their computer is really potato so they have only posted on Reddit and on the server
I really think you should have Animus Drifter on this at some point if he's down. Such an amazing parkour choreographer for the classic AC games, he's revolutionized how I see movement in AC and even in many other games

You guys are great and I learn many things from you, but I think there's some serious overrating of something Leo said in his review of Mirage:
"Use focus as a movement tool."
That is what focus is. It is a movement tool. It's a magic teleport movement tool just like the one in the Shadow of Mordor games. Saying "use it like a movement tool" is like saying "Use the hidden dagger as a stabbing tool". It's purpose is to give you magic teleportation (movement).
I'll suggest it's a shallow (and cheaper for Ubi) alternative to a deeper parkour system put in to cover up for their refusal to provide that deeper system. And I'll also suggest that singing the praises of a basic teleportation mechanic found in many other games might hurt the chances of the return of a deeper parkour system.
Nah, you can't really say that when you still see players burning all their charges to do something as simple as get a quad or triple. There's still a difference between players who use it for its highest value, which is movement, and players who don't. People like you and me, yes, sure, WE have the awareness and presence of mind to see it for its best function, but that doesn't mean everyone, or even most players, do. Same thing with my One-Twos video, there were people who commented stuff like, "Wow, isn't this just obvious / doesn't everyone do this?" Nope. Tons of people don't! This is just like that.

Best combo Isu sword + dodge dagger. This gives Basim the highest burst damage and the extra dodges increase survivability. Rostam blade and Isu seax is common pairing but optimized for brawling 20 mofos. Given Mirage’s tools I do not think this game was intended to be a battle royale

Do fire bombs interrupt detection in AC Origins too? See, I SOOO under use tools, that I don't even know. Guess I can test it tonight.
If they do, they're much weaker at it. I don't remember using them for that purpose often.

Imo the TRUE Master Assassin robes in Mirage are Grey Hidden One. Rayhan is dope but too renaissance Italy and gives Basim zero disguise. Fan service for everyone who demanded AC2 Ezio as a legacy skin. Grey Initiate is good too
I'm just going to pick on the 'zero disguise' point for a moment.
I feel like wanting robes to actually be 'subtle' in Assassin's Creed and 'make sense' as something someone would wear to blend in is a battle that was already lost fifteen years ago, I just don't care about it that much. What matters is that it looks cool. A great example is Jacob's outfit from Syndicate. He looks like a regular guy off the street. Boring. Functional yes, but this isn't Hitman. It's Assassin's Creed. I don't want boring characters that would blend in, in real life. I want badass-looking characters who have sick flowy coats, cloaks and robes.

It's been a while since I played it, but I'm pretty sure _all_ recruits in Revelations and AC3 are basically immortal because each of them is their own unique character that the story revolves around.

У меня всегда была мечта во 2 AC устраивать сражения в крепости или на полях Тосканы

Mm, I do not think such a mod is possible right now. It would be very interesting, and maybe we will see mod-creators make one in the future, but right now focus seems to be mostly on parkour and the player's character. I would enjoy this kind of enemy-numbers / army-battles mod as well.
How is Mirage for ghosting/no trace?
I would imagine that it's generally pretty good and forgiving, though note that there are at least three moments that force detection/combat on you in the main story.

Tips for Syndicate? Mm... Don't forget to use your Kidnap and Whistle in order to move people around how you want. Smoke is amazing, as usual. Rope Launcher makes you very mobile and makes it easy to reach enemies really fast.
If you mean, do I have tips on making videos, honestly the most important one is to always make something you would be interested in watching, since that way there's usually going to be someone else who wants to see it too, and even if there isn't, at least you made something you enjoy. (I still try to follow this, for myself.)
