      @riptor4532 9 месяцев назад +8

      Well there's two types of "ninja", normal people that were just highly skilled assassins using a unique set of tools to execute a hit on someone. And then you have what is more commonly known as the super natural ninja magic fantasy stuff like people jumping 30 feet into the air doing double back flips, while turning invisible and getting into 20 minute long samurai sword fights. Hopefully they keep it more grounded to reality yeah...

    • @hugejackedman3447
      @hugejackedman3447 9 месяцев назад +13

      They have to stray greatly from the origin or it would be really boring! lol The original "ninjas"(shinobi) were spies. Most of them were village folks not even trained to fight. Their jobs were simply to camp out and gather intel to report back to their commanders. As time went on they realized the need to put themselves in more precarious situations to complete their jobs so sometimes they'd have to get in deep undercover and pretend to be someone that belonged to a rival clan/camp etc.
      During night they'd wear black so it was harder to see them(I know that's obvious) just to sneak into an enemy camp and hopefully steal some belongings with the clan's "crest" on it making it easier to blend in. They rarely even carried weapons because that would draw too much attention.
      When they became a bit more closer to the fighting ninjas we are familiar with was when some samurai and ronin also became spies some decades later. They were already trained in military combat so all they needed to do was hide and watch and if they got caught they knew how to fight their way out. If they carried a weapon it wasn't the good ol' fashion Leonardo katana, but a shorter one. Less noise, less size, easier to hide, easier to use in tight spaces. But most of those other weapons were samurai weapons, some police weapons like the sai and jitte.
      Assassinations did happen, but very very rarely as it wasn't their primary job nor was it really needed. And seriously, how many people would actually volunteer to hide in a sewer underneath a guy taking a crap to plunge a spear up his butt? 😂🤮 (old Uesugi Kenshin rumor)

    • @JanWynd
      @JanWynd 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@hugejackedman3447 False. The only thing that you said that was correct is the fact that Shinobi lived in villages. Now lets get to the corrections. Shinobi were, in fact, an independent *Warrior Sect* exceptionally skilled in fighting arts. Their fighting-skill-reputation preceeded them which is why they were able to get paid as mercenaries. You think a warlord is gonna hire someone to sneak into a castle and kill his arch enemy without any fighting ability? ? ?.....LOLOLLLL. They should've never gave you internet, dude. @@JanWynd *Hire?* lol That goes to show you DO know what you are talking about but you need to humble your ego a bit.
      THE ORIGINAL shinobi was the main idea here, which you totally overlooked somehow. ORIGINALLY there was no hiring process till the Koga and Iga established actual ninja sects offering their services and that didn't happen till the daimyos realized that the shinobi could actually turn the tide of battle.
      You really think a culture of warlords that practiced, preached AND believed in dying on a battlefield would actually have ninja villages from day one ORIGINALLY? If I were as condescending as you, I'd say something like stop watching so much Naruto! BUT I like treating people like they deserve respect.
      So, before you respond any further let me know if you are willing to drop that snarkiness and conversate with some maturity. If that doesn't work for you let me know before you say anything else so I will know to stop wasting our time.

      An old mate of mine who was a phenomenal martial artist dressed like one when he went after a gang who beat his brother up. He found the lads, hanging around in a park. There was a big wall that he was watching from the top of. He dropped down into the gang and battered all of them. I was outside the park when it happened and this lad came running out saying a 'f***ing ninja just came from nowhere and beat us all up'. Me and my best mate just looked at each other and said 'Billy'. That would be 40 years ago now. Funny thing was, they tried to get him done by the police. Went to the court and judge said 'did anybody get a look at his face'. Of course, nobody had.

      Then you have Tozama samurai those guys were not under direct control of their lord to simplify they were basically a kingdom within a kingdom had a bit of their own autonomy and were less trustworthy but that's because they were more loyal to their own clans if a lord could not provide guaranteed protection they were more likely to switch side, this was done as a form of survival.

      As a Japanese, the only thing I can say is that JPA companies are not good at promotion. They can make some awesom movies other than anime, but they lack the sense to make advertisements to promote them overseas, so many of them are not seen overseas. Then there is the problem of localization. It's frustrating, but I think Korean films have a great sense of localization as well as advertising, and know how to attract people.sry my broken eng.

    • @kakkoishonen
      @kakkoishonen 9 месяцев назад

      it's the hallyu wave. A government plan to push korean content internationally and it works.
      On the other hand Japan is a closed market. They don't really care about selling their stuff overseas.
      That's why they still stick to the old 30 fps / TV show color grading for their dramas because their audience are used to it and they don't want to change it for international audience (that's why it feels cheap but actually it's not).
      But I've remarked things are slowly changing. They seem like they want to conquer international market nowadays as they multiply collaborations with the western producers (for the visibility).
      So I hope for the future Japan would open their Cinema, Dramas, Music for the International audience because they are so damn talented and have many brilliant movie makers / actors / actresses and incredible Music Industry.
