Those eyes mannnnn.....he didn't do coke though he did admit he had a joint here and there..that night was definitely hit....plus he was so handsome and built nicely.
Lord have mercy Al Green was the GREATEST soul singer in the 70's I loved Marvin & Teddy , but Al Green's live shows were intoxicating ! Growing up in the 70's I can honestly say his few years in secular music were the BEST & I was mesmerized by his talents & sexiness !
I remember staying up or maybe taking a nap so I could catch these late night shows. Al Green, Bill Withers, Stevie. Great singer songwriters who had so much respect for their audience. Al Green was so sweet. I remember he gave one of ladies in the audience his scarf. What a great moment.
@@silviafigueroa8813 such a treat all these years later. And the live audiences had such respect. I don’t know if the guys were just as taken or they were trying to see why their ladies were. Al was not afraid to be in the moment of each song. Good times then and now.
The man had the ladies in a trance!! He and Marvin just to name a few could pull this off. These ladies were focused like they were taking a calculus exam lol
In the early 70's I was on tour with an all-girl band, and out of the clear blue sky a couple of women in the band said that they were geting of the bus (in the middle of nowhere) to go to an AL GREEN concert, and they would connect with us later.
This guy is an absolute genius- one of the greatest singers of all time- but I love looking at the faces of the women in the audience- talk about enraptured- so TOTALLY in love with Al!
This concert was exactly 2 weeks before the night that Mary Woodson threw a pot of boiling grits all over Al when he was in the bathroom and then went into the bedroom and killed herself with his pistol. He became a Reverend after that and only sang gospel in his church.
He made How can you mend a broken heart his. Nobody ever did it or ever will do it as well as he did. And his original music should never be covered because nobody could ever compare.
No he was not wasted, full of the Holy Spirit
sorry to say but al was high asa georgia pine
My man Al was high as the universe itself! Lmaooooo.... but damn.... he bought it on! 70s was the bomb! So glad I lived it!
Yea he won't feelin no pain

But clearly very high.
