    It takes a real mechanic to appreciate the nuances of transmission fluid temps and its effects. Kudos to you!

    • @jahmanborneo1343
      @jahmanborneo1343 9 месяцев назад

      A real mechanic knows German cars are garbage. Germans haven't made a reliable automobile since the 80's. Focus has gone from cars that last decades to shoving every bleeding-edge piece of tech into them and hoping for the best.

    • @halcyon1017
      @halcyon1017 9 месяцев назад

      I can agree with that, but also disagree. Yes, German cars cram a ton of bells and whistles which increase the number of failure points. But I disagree that their cars are garbage. With German cars, you have to follow the instruction manual and maintenance schedule to the T, because thats how they were designed. With Japanese cars the engineers designed them with the assumption that the customer will not take care of them as meticulously.

      How you finding the car so far

    • @Whatare4
      @Whatare4 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@mynameismyname6830 I’ve had it for about 6 months now and I still enjoy it. I previously had a 2016 C450 (same car but before the name change to C43) and find the engine on my 2023 to be just as powerful as that V6. I do find the new transmission to be a bit jerky until it gets warmed up which only takes about 10 mins of driving when it’s cold outside. Other than that, no complaints. I don’t have the AMG exhaust equipped so unless I’m accelerating the car is quieter that my previous model. If I’m understanding correctly, that feature is just a more amplified sound pumped into the cabin, not a different type of physical exhaust system. Race start is an amazing feature to show off to your friends. It makes grown men giggle like little kids.

    • @SarahnTuned
      @SarahnTuned  9 месяцев назад +35

      That and if its rated for 1050nM of torque, its not even being stressed by this car, which might make it take even longer to come up to temp.

    • @losponchos4083
      @losponchos4083 9 месяцев назад +4

      @@SarahnTuned I guess this transmission was designed for wide range of torque. Usually Merc designs their transmission in wide range to cover several variations of their vehicles. Clutch facing material is very sensitive to the temp and torq, so matching temp and torq will definitely bring smoother engagement to each shifts.

      I love that it has an MGU-H derived electric turbo. Would have been even better if it was on the V-6 like the F1 cars where the turbo sits in the V with the hot on one side and the cold on the other. I can still dream though.

    Speaking of the high tech infotainment, every now and then I see people who have no idea their cars are equipped with auto headlights - they just drive with DRL. When I see such a car lurking in the night, I call it a Flying Dutchman. Now, looking at this infotainment, I remember times when people were asking a friend to program their VCR. I mean, it's overwhelming. I won't be surprised if even an inquisitive owner will discover new features a year after purchase, like an espresso machine for the front passenger hidden under the glove box (which you didn't mention).

    Loving the new graphics, including Warthogs announcing the exhaust "brap"! Even though some of the sound is fake, it sounds great on acceleration especially during the shifts. Makes those shifts sound even more aggressive than they are. Like others in the comments, I'm impressed at how much power Mercedes gets out of a 2 liter engine, but I suspect it's going to be a short-lived engine. Of course, Mercedes-Benzes are known to become money pits once they get a few years on them. Not that other high performance engines are known for longevity. Anyway, great review, and maybe BMW and Audi will wise up one of these days and start sending their best for you to review.

    Hey Sarah, I think you might’ve got your Movies mixed up that seat as a dead ringer for ET even the same color🙂 although it does sort of resemble those creatures from the fifth element but ET for sure I hope you have a great Thanksgiving🐧🐧🐧👍

    Nice to see others still listen to Chevelle. I have a 2021 W205 C63 amg and I’m crying at these 4 bangers that weigh 4k pounds. Going to keep mine until it falls apart.

    I’m a new subscriber (from Australia) because your reviews are outstanding. Love the look on your face when you launch them. I have a 2023 A45S AMG and my reaction when I stomp on the go pedal is quite similar to yours lol. Cheers Sarah 🍻

    I was very much interested in Wet clutch type automatic transmission (torque converter less)
