What a fantastic find! As a mother of three it isn't always easy to get kids involved in some things so I applaud you for sharing your love of history with your children (and us)...way to go dad👍👏👏
It's incredible to think of the scale of logistics involved in these defence systems. And for you to show us that equipment is still actually there and not just in movies is great!
Great seeing the searchlight parts. So sad they were just left to rot. Happy EE found so many neat items. Glad you can restore some of the parts! Keep up the wonderful work!
Gorgeous water view!!!! What amazing finds. E.E. is constantly perfecting his search techniques. Can't believe that those barbed (bobbed 😁) fences were still in tact. Typical well made German structure. All that military equipment belongs in a museum. Thank you for taking us along HH and EE. Stay safe as we want to enjoy much more of your adventures. Danke
What an amazing find! Wish those items could be saved from Mother Nature. Can’t believe that those items would still be there! Thanks again with you and Eagle eyes for sharing your great adventure with us!! Be safe my friend
Wow, gentlemen, those finds were great, fantastic! It's good to see there are some hidden treasures still out there to be found. I hope you were able to take some of that wire and connector blocks with you. I look forward to more great videos. Stay safe and keep well and healthy.
It looks likely that the searchlight had been in a fire at some point in the past. Amazing find ,would be nice if it could be recovered and put on display. Thanks for sharing your experience.
It is nice to hear the narration being done by someone who knows what he’s talking about. So many don’t. They aim the camera at something they are clueless about…and then just babble nonsense. This is a fortuitous exception.
What an amazing discovery, even more incredible to see the fencing and structures so intact in all those years. Great work. Many thanks and keep well at these times. Best wishes, Paul in Lower Boddington UK
That was amazing find and location hope to see more of it you are appreciate it so much here in the US to people that can't get to see that keep up the good work and thank you
I really enjoy your missions to find and show the history of the German war effort. The pieces that you collect really ell the story. Videos are great, enjoy your work and above all stay safe, my friend
That was fantastic, what a discovery and what a shame it hasn't been recovered and preserved. Love the barbed wire posts as well, the Germans knew how to build quality stuff.
Now that was a Holy Madonna moment. What fantastic finds, so jealous. Typically, the 200cm Searchlight was the "Master" with 3 other 150cm searchlights spread around, up to 2.5 km away. The "Master" would find the aircraft, and the others would "Cone" it in for the AA guns. They had 200m of connection cable attached, which is the cable you found, linking their communications together, and linking them to a large generator. And that's the generator you found ! The last black and white photo! OMG. So amazed, happy, and a yes, a little jealous, you found such an amazing place. Cannot wait to see what else you have for us. You've made my week. Thank you all. Stay Safe !
Incredible!! If you can retrieve it from that isolated location it would be a huge achievement and even bigger preservation of WW2 history. Gotta be worth attempting. Love the videos so thank you for sharing with us.
The item at time marker 9:14 is the ring that held the lens for the search light ! I figured it out by comparing it with the picture of the light in your video ! That is awesome ! Thank you for sharing this piece of history with me !
A real shame some of the German military equipment couldn't have been saved. EE your Dad is lucky to have you along on your adventures as you are so much help. The scenery there is so beautiful. Thank you for taking us there EE and HH.
What a wonderful discovery! Awesome electronics and actual glass from the searchlight, wow!!! And....another cliffhanger!!! Aaaaarrrrgh! You guys are amazing...and infuriating!😂😂😂
You make such great content my friend, thank you so much for taking us along with you! I so wish I could see this first hand, I know that will never happen so I'll just watch all your vids:) Thank you again!
What a remarkable location. Eagle Eyes and you are finding all kinds of treasures. You would think even though the searchlight was in bad shape there are some parts there that could be used to restore one in better shape. No telling what other unseen treasures are there. Need more from this location.
I just received my 4th diorama. I love the smell of the oil. I'm going to hang them on the wall next to the picture of my dad and i.i can't believe I have 4 of them now. They are going to look incredible hanging up there. I love historical firearms and the history of both world wars. Thank you very much. Happy history hunting.
The Germans are not the only ones 'obsessed' with numbers. If you ever worked in manufacturing of anything you would know that EVERYTHING has a number. I worked at Lockheed Martin and all those parts have individual part numbers. You can't replace a part without having the part number.
you have the greatest adventures, and not to mention making the coolest finds! too bad some of those locations are the roughest of terrain, would be a hell of a job trying to get those relics out of there.
Thanks for sharing your journey with us You bring us to places we would never Discover Its a pleasure to follow you and eagle eye It is amazing to see how much items left in the ground and wait that you both find them Thanks alot Stay healthy and save Yours Frank
Seeing the temporary gun placement are always interesting to see. I don’t believe most people realize that a lot of the gun placements and bunkers were built after the guns were placed there. The small shelter or ammo bunker was interesting to me. Even though I have seen them built like this with the corrugated metal roof, I have never seen one with the wood beam running across the center of the top. How exciting just to be walking along and come up on parts of a search light. Totally unexpected. Your adventures never fail to turn up some interesting history.
Digging the funky beats at the beginning of the vid. Got me shaking my buttocks (sorry for that visual). It amazes me that these things are still just lying around after so much time. Simply incredible. I would be running around like a kid at Christmas in all these places you go. Holy Madonna, amazing finds. Take care brother.
Love your channel. I was in Germany during the Cold War in the 70s. History is my fav. My dad fought in WW2 thus I was still able to visit a lot of the places where he was.
Really think very highly of your work on WW2 historical evidence. Have you ever looked at the greater area surrounding Metz (France/Germany Across the River). My father landed on Omaha Beach at DD+6 hrs still into a hail of fire and crawled over other dead American soldiers. He was later transferred into the 6th armored division under Patton's Third Army and fought all across France and in recon missions crossed behind lines across the river into Germany. He was seriously wounded in France on the northwest side of Metz. Keep up your great stuff and thank you for your work
Outstanding, another great find, I hope you and your friends can salvage what is left. If you follow that cable it may lead to a hidden generator who knows. That's how real cool stuff gets found totally by accident when your looking for something else. God bless stay safe. From California.
I can hardly wait to see what equipment you will show us in the next adventure. I think there's more glass up the hill where it fell from. Thank you both.
Just so amazing and interesting. A truly awesome find. The Germans were so advanced. Amazing . Love your videos. Well done. Thumbs up to the WWII germans,. The. Best

Got to love the Germans and their obsession with numbers, they would stamp serial numbers onto clouds if they could.😂
In a way so true :) Thanks

I am pretty sure these colored cables are not from WW2. They did not have the technology to produce plastic isolation in the 40s. The cable you found first is what they had. Paper isolated cables surrounded by lead and reinforced with iron.
Well read up on it , look at pictures of electronic gear from WW2 and you will find out. Thanks
How is it possible to have color wires when everything back in those days was in black and white? Lol!

Anti-Aircraft Search Lights are very interesting in the history in the War that they might have had - how many and whose Allied Aircraft did they illuminate for the Anti-Aircraft Guns?
I agree and very glad we could share it with you James :)
Another great adventure, thank you & eagle eyes for sharing.

Search light mirrors were reused after the war for astronomy
@Jerry Andersen You have a perfect parabolic mirror, already with a front aluminium coating to make it a mirror. Take it, and instead of a lamp put a mirror by the focal point to direct the incoming starlight to an eyepiece or a camera. No longer emitting light, but using the large mirror to collect light.
Thanks for comment and for watching.
@Jerry Andersen well Jodrell Bank telescope is made out of battleship parts, so why not mirrors!
Good job eagle eye. Interesting find ,must be a very isolated area.
Yes it was
Awesome find thank you for sharing

I've got a feeling the Germans left a lot of equipment behind everywhere when the Allies invaded. The reason most everywhere has been stripped is that in the years after the war, the surrounding areas were badly destroyed, and locals salvaged everything they could to rebuild.
yes they sure did and they most likely needed the materials. Thanks for watching.
Why is everything in such good condition? I would expect 75 year old metal left out in the environment to be so rusty as to be useless but the search light components look like they could be restored. Was the metal better back in the 1940's?
It’s called modern cheep shitty Chinese mettle. Back then shit was made to last. These days everything is made to break right after the warranty expires. Or like 3 to 4 years before stuff just crumples. Saw a brand new Toyota truck at the dealership one time that the rear ended was already rusting away. Stuff these days sadly aren’t made to last like it use to be.
Well i guess that is just how it is sometimes. Thanks Mark

I use work on the flood lights that was used on the flight line while in the Air Force from 1978 to 1986 !

That's a really thick bit of glass. Did I miss something, where was the light's original position, where did it fall from?
It probably fell from a little hill above it. Thanks
