3:20 is the mount for a 5cm KwK (Kampfwagenkanone) tank gun, very commonly used on the Atlantikwall. It was used on the PzKpfw III, until they proved ineffective and replaced by the better armed Pzkpfw IV. The guns were removed and reused on the Atlantikwall, as they would still be good to fire on landing craft. The G plus you say at 6:13 is actually an original German St sign. This stood for Standig, which meant the bunker was bombproof. Lighter shelters commonly had a large L for Leichte. These were used everywhere on the Atlantikwall. The St is quite a rare thing to see these days as most have eroded because of the weather over the years. I'd love to get to some of these places you visit.....
I really enjoy your videos. So much history is either forgotten, torn down or destroyed (like what's happening in the U.S. right now) and it's such a shame! Whether you're on the winning side or the losing side of a conflict, history should be preserved for the past, present & he future. I'm old school I suppose, brought up in a simpler time but I love history and I appreciate the history lessons you bring to us! Be Safe my friend!
Not a surprise... ! A sophisticated defense system of the famous german 'Atlantic Wall' ! Again, nice that we see NO grafitti... ! It's nice you discover these interesting pieces of history/WW2... and you share them with us ! It would be also interesting if you could make a 'map' of that underground bunker . Did I see a 'Tobruk' position... covered with soil/vegetation ??
These bunkers are just awesome! Always interesting to see signs of damage, bomb craters and bullet holes...Eagle Eyes has become an amazing spotter! Great video, guys!😊💖
Yes Cynthia he is really growing and he has got some incredible eyes , finding stuff that i couldnt even imagine is there. I dont know how he do that but very glad he do. Thanks and more to come soon my friend
Absolutely love your videos. Can't wait to see the next one. You gentleman do a awesome job keep up the good work. And thank you for keeping the past alive
Great video again my friends. It seems like when you and eagle eyes get together along the Atlantic wall you discover these immense emplacements meant to keep the allies out of Scandinavia and Europe. Assume they pretty well relic hunted out but do you still find time to search for artifacts along with teaching us all? Be Well Be Safe Be Careful both of you.
I think that no locations is ever hunted out. There are so many of them that it would take so many years for that to be and we are not there yet i think. Thanks Ted for great support and have a still great summer.
Hello History Hunter It is amazing what is left over of this defence Installation I thought that this stuff was wiped out by the local people or by the goverment but it is still there I dont belive it and i Think there must be alot more of it I hope you and eagle eye find the whole stuff you are looking for Thanks for taking us with you by this very interesting journey All the best go you and eagle eye Yours Frank

Another well done video. The bunkers are actually in good shape. To bad they covered the other one, it would be nice to figure out what it was. Stay safe out there.
That location has still so many bunkers that are either lost or buried forever. Almost like it will never end. Thanks William and have a still great summert.
That little boy is fearless. The minute the father said “spider,” I would’ve been out of there, down the cliff, and on the beach in mere seconds! Lol 😂
Wow ! Another amazing video. I'm jealous that you have so many cool locations to explore but at the same time grateful that I don't because we don't have the scares of war here. Living in Vancouver, British Columbia,Canada we don't have as many old military sites to investigate. However back in the 1970's I spent some time looking around an old, abandoned air base, close to here. B25 Liberators were based here for coastal defense & training. The desks & chairs were still in the buildings with papers littering the floors. I found a blueprint for the airfield dated 1945. Still have it. Explored the munitions bunkers off of the runways also. The runways that we used to race cars on back in the day. Now its a working airport. Most of the wartime bunkers gone but still the hangers & administrative building there. It's wonderful that you & Eagle Eyes have such wonderful adventures !! Thank you.
It’s amazing the punishment these bunkers could take and still survive. Sound inside the bunkers had to be deafening when they were being bombed. Who needs maps or GPS when you have Eagle Eyes with you. He seems to spot everything. It seems this location has so much to offer and so much of it is hidden or covered up. Your metal detecting should turn up more unseen treasures here.
Thank you for another awesome video. So fun to watch! Period reconnaissance pictures (aerial views)from that time would be great to look at to see what it once was... you could also get an idea where to look for things. What a lot of history is there, yes?
Would have liked to been there to witness that bunker in person. I would love to investigate every crevice of those bunkers, flooded or not. Thanks for another great video 👍.
Thank you and Eagle Eyes for another great adventure. It would be nice if the land owners would quit trying to hide the bunkers with stuff, would be nice to see the inside. Can`t wait for the metal detecting episode from this location. Stay safe.
i agree but it their land and they basically decides what is best for them. we are just glad to be able to have a peek and happy to share with you all. Thanks Allen
Crazy cool place!! Image the history and stories of this place!! Bunker damage was neat, those bunkers can take a beating, wouldn't want to be inside with bomb's dropping must have been scary!! Thank's for sharing, take care, safe travel's, see you guy's later!!
yes they were built pretty sturdy i think. Lots of exciting details there and love to share more later joshua. Thanks again for your kind support and greetings from us.
I love watching everything you do and it's very informative and you a lot of World War II stuff I've been watching you for a long time but I haven't been commenting and when you go to bunkers that's full of water you should bring some books like the farmers have rubber so this way you can walk inside and not get your feet wet God bless you brother stay safe
Hi my friend and eagle eyes hop ya'll having a wonderful day hay eagle eyes keep a eye on dad make sure he and you stay safe ya'll have lots of great hunts it will leave you with a lot of great memories and your dad helps me by letting me be there though these videos thank ya'll so much
What an amazing site. Would love to spend a couple of weeks there, just prodding and poking into those bunkers, especially the ones that they've covered over. That first heavy shell casing you found looks like it just burst, rather than exploded. Possibly from a German ammo dump that got hit by the Allied shelling. That site is definitely worth revisiting with waders, and a metal detector. Cheers, and thanks for another great video!
Hey buddy I think that I have watched most of your videos. I was wondering if there is any older Germans that are still alive who might be able to tell you something about these places. So keep on exploring and I'll be watching. Thank you for sharing this with me.
We have met men who has served in locations were we visited and some have told their stories to us. Great experience it is and honored to listen to them. Thanks and greetings from us.
Superb set of defenses, I should think the metal detecting will be good as there was obviously a concerted attack on this position. Looking forward to it.
Awesome site. Great video! Inside the bunkers on the interior walls, there seems to be furring strips (Pelzstreifen, sp?). Did the interior of these bunkers have a finish to it - i.e. wood paneling? Or are these simply strips of wood to hang conduit or some kind of cables on? Or are these simply remnants of the forms for the concrete? What's your idea?
Fantastic video again. Here in Australia, we don't have any WW2 artifacts to be discovered like Europe...thankfullly... But, what you can find in the oceans around us...oh dear.
The gun placement with the pipe in the middle, I wonder it is for a gun that they would carry out to the location and fix it to the post and fire and then remove it and carry it to another location? A suggestion for the wet muddy bunkers and tunnels. They may look funny on your feet but consider carrying several plastic grocery bags and some twine with you. You can put the bags over your shoes and tie them with twine. It’s easier to pack and carry than a pair of waterproof boots. Am happy to see you always considering Eagle Eyes safety. Shows your a good father. He’ll grow up to be a fine young man. It must have been terrible for the soldiers here when the bombs started dropping. So many craters. And then being fired on by the Allie’s fighter aircraft. Special location.
The bunker and trenchworkings look high quality even now. I personally think they should have done much less but greater in depth around the channel and lower areas of Norway, so not as long but deeper . Anyway congrats again on another super film.
Thank you for the adventure and seeing pieces of history ! I sure wish that you had some rubber boots so you could go into those bunkers ! Take care , stay safe and healthy wherever you maybe going next ! Doing well here in Kansas !
I really enjoy your video's thank you so much. Just a thought when you are bunker hunting why don't you wear water proof/rubber boots? Seems like most of the bunkers have standing water in them. Just a thought.
Awesome to see a bunker that the graffiti clowns haven't got "creative" with 🙄 Cool explore 😁 I went on a History Hunter binge yesterday. Watched like 15 episodes. 1:37 WHAT you are holding there looks like the remains of an OIL FILTER fitting maybe from a panzer? The large metal piece has threads so YES this was an exploded bomb as the threads are where the detonator/fuse screwed in! Interesting the close proximity of both items making me wonder about all the bomb craters. Clearly a massive air raid and perhaps a panzer standing guard here and BOOOOOMMMM its all gone. So the oil filter is BLOWN up into the air landing back down next to the broken bombshell?
What's up with your countrymen burying their history. I get some of it and it could be somewhat shameful. War happens and a lot of lessons have been learned. These are relics of our past and you and family are bringing it into the light. I had a far distant cousin who was in the SS. Not sure if he survived the war, nobody really talked about it. But still I find this part of history very fascinating. Keep up the great work and content. When my father was very young, he was traveling through Germany he had to stop along the motorway and run into the woods to relieve himself, lying in the grass next to him was a German helmet, rusted up with a single bullet hole in it. He grabbed it and still has it to this day.
Can I ask why you don’t give a general idea where you are investigating, I appreciate you want to protect the integrity of the sites but to my mind the vast majority of your viewers will remain just that. Those that wish to rob will probably do some research and go tooled up, those that wish to desecrate tend to do so impulsively. I really appreciate your work and having an idea what part of europe adds to the interest from a conflict point of view as there are many more untold stories waiting to be exposed. It’s vitally important we collectively keep this history alive and your work does a great service to this. Thank you.
Well Richard i guess that people just have to accept my decision to do it like that. I have far to often seen the results of giving away the locations , resulting often in individuals trashing and disturbing the places in a awful way. Thanks for comment and for watching.
WW2HistoryHunter I understand and it’s sad that it has to be that way but could you say what country your in just as a point of reference as for me there were many battle fronts and your videos are very informative just a broad reference which wouldn’t give the site away . Keep up the good work.

Thanks for another good video. A suggestion, perhaps get some rubber boots.
Thanks for the tip!
Thank you for tour great comments and your support my friend :)
@@WW2HistoryHunter My honour sir
Thanks for sharing my friend and thanks for watching.
I'd donate severa; vital parts of my anatomy to meta; detect these kind of site bud lol,,, WOW AWESOME Video Sir... two thumbs up ; )
Much appreciated
Very nice sir
Thanks and welcome
At the 8:45 Mark was that mesh or grating original to the bunker? If so what would the purpose be?
i actually wouldnt know. Thanks for comment and for watching.
