The Ost versions logs on the side gives it some god tier non pen chances against HE, HEAT and Apcr. It trolled me a few times before I learned not to shoot there. That one is definetly ptw.
@thestroyer17 I rarely have any issue penning the side of tigers with any round unless they are properly angled. Especially not with high pen stuff like apcr. The issue is that the game engine cannot really make sense of multiple layers of junk on your tank and makes it behave like it is proper spaced armor where penning the first layer deforms/absorbs your shell and the second only faces the remaining spalling. In this specific case it does not seem to matter if the first layer is only wood it will take out your apcr and heat completely. This often gives enough time to a good player to angle and then you truly cannot pen them. It is of course easy to overcome if you aim at the plate behind the tracks or the turret but it is a nasty surprise if you are just going for a rough center of mass shot on the side of a tiger like most do normally. The HE not penning seems a bit more realistic but it does not take away from the fact that you can buy a better vehicle of the same type and br as the tech tree one wich is the definition of ptw.

If you learn them properly they are very strong tough. Not press w mindlessly strong but snipe from a good hull down position with almost no counter strong. That is all we can get.

Its quite a lot of vehicles that were acctually needed for the regular tech tree

Woo, tigers. I think this might in the long term be good for the game, packs like this. Wallet warriors are a thing, and here we are with two tanks and an AA so they're encouraged to stay at least for 2 lives and maybe even pull AA rather than be a one-and-done.
@@spyczech Yeah, I'd like some premium AA but the simple fact is there's probably not enough to justify it (though you can do 'ace' ones like they've done with some tanks and planes in the uk tech tree) and... AA can be really hard. It's difficult to hit moving targets, especially when the moving targets can take out your usually exposed crew with a sing burst before the rest of the vehicle, and you're way more vulnerable than the tanks to bombs. I can't seem to hit things even with the ruddy radar leads!
I don't mind premium vehicles having a small advantage. They have to make money somehow to keep the show running. If you are a somewhat experienced player you can have a lot of fun in the game. Especially in low and mid-tier.
The problem isn't that they have an advantage, its that they have an advantage at the same br as the tech tree one It makes total sense to move all the premium Tiger 1s to 6.0 seeing as they are all better than the 5.7 tech tree one
Premium vehicles already have advantage by giving you double xp (and money if im not mistaken) and this should pe purpose of premium vehicles - faster grind of other vehicles or just ability to buy a vehicle without having to grind rest of tree, not by having better stats while being at the exact same br, thats true definition of pay to win.

It really is criminal that Gaijin can make as much money off of a bundle (sometimes even more) for the price of what could buy you an entire new game. Think about how shitty that is. People in this community really are downright brainwashed if they think these prices are good or even justifiable at all.
Funny how 2 column limit doesn't stop Gaijin from adding more and more premium vehicles. They found enough workarounds around this GUI limitation, so now some tech trees have ranks with more premium vehicles than tech tree ones. Yet 5 column limit prevents Gaijin from adding more secondary nations to tech trees that really need them.
If WT wants to stay with this premium pack model, then they should leverage the playing field and release a similar pack but for other nations. A Soviet T-34-85 pack and a USA M4A3 pack come to my mind. Like, if they already started with these P2W packs, at least give every nation a chance. I would pay for a T-34-85 pack tbh.
The snake is trying to move the borders. It starts with add-on track armor, but in the next premium version they will have extra armor plus better engine. And then better ammo. It's the natural way how to get most money out of playerbase without improving the game in any aspect.

Camo nets should have been the only way to add camouflage to tanks, instead of those BS Bushes where you can't even see the tank anymore, and they crew wouldn't be able to see as well.
Everything is fine on 4.7 BR......Low tier is fun tier. Against the countless premium tigers that have overrun War Thunder, I have my comrade T-34-85..... I use the tactics of the USSR. Against all the expensive German big cats, I use cheap Russian technology. Works well

Well since you should shoot them between tracks and hull in a first place, I dont see how big change that is. Tiger is still mediocre armored tank

15:57 It's like the E.B.R in the french tech tree. There are 3 E.B.R and 2 of them are premium (1 from an event and 1 from a battlepass).

I think one death leaving is much more about wanting to spawn more than once. Rather than being able to.
A cool aa premium might induce some demand and get more people to play AA, at least my hope
