WT is sometimes incredibly cinematic, like when I'm lobbing rockets over the island and clipping random trees at 3:50, the plane getting blapped at 12:02 and screaming over the ship, a plane having its payload detonate at 14:15 etc. Not sure why people complain about the visuals of the game, I've found them quite enjoyable actually. RUclips compression isn't kind to the visuals of warthunder. The weapon effects lose a lot of wow effect when uploaded to youtube. The game with it's great water and vehicle physics and weapon effects is very pretty when you play it on your own pc.
The RBU 6000 follows a simple rule regarding the lead and combat distance: Can you hit it with a hand grenade from the bridge? Yes! Then FIRE Edit: at around 10: 40 your rockets overshoot the german destroyer. That is because the trajectory of the missiles is automatically calculated based on the lock on of your guns. while you will not really notice the difference at this distance for the high muzzle velocity 3 inch autoguns vertically (but horizontally) for those slow, high arcing rockets it makes all the difference Also your torps have a pityful TNT charge. 'normal' DD torps would have done the job. :)
at 15:00 I believe that un-repairable breech was from a naval mine the airplane (12:02) that got really really close dropped. He missed a direct hit, but the mine stayed in the water and you couldn't see it.
Your SKR7 stopped shooting at one point because you emptyed all your amo in the ready rack. The SKR7 used to be absolutly broken so they nerfed it. Basically, as long as you didn't overheat your guns or empty all your amo, you could go full auto for ever
As someone who already enjoys watching your WoWS video's, it's been really fun to watch these WT naval video's too! Always nice to hear and see what WT naval is like for a WoWS player.
SKR-7 used to absolutely CLAP anyone and anything. After HE rework and reloading nerf it's a shadow of itself, once upon a time you could 1v1 a Moffet no sweat
Yeah back in the days SKR7 was pure cancer but it got trippled nerfed (HE nerf in crew damage and floading potential, RBU not as deadly as before and finally the introduction of ready rack mechanic. Now played well it is still good but not as good as before.
Anyone else enjoy these WT vids much more than the WoWs ones? Keep it up Flamu! Think you will do more Bluewater Fleet? Id love yo see some Alaska and US Battleship gameplay!
WT naval is impressive now. Sky, land and sea are a bit noisy visually. The water needs a bit more contrast, maybe? It's very different from the incredibly slow, chaotic and weird attrition-based game of first release.
I wish these 76 mm autocannons had APHE shells, sadly googling info on them resulted in finding out they never had those because they were never supposed to be used against other ships, those are basically AA only guns. RBU-6000 can clap cheeks in close quarters tho
All big high explosives are great in close quarters in war thunder. I often use dept charges against destoyers in my German tp boats if I can get close enough. Or shooting at naval mines as traps around corners.
The game will count you down and kick you out of your ship when you beach and can't get loose. Same as going out of the map in ground battles. At least, that's how it used to be; haven't played naval in a long time.
Back when I tried naval everyone called the SKR-7 a broken tumor of a ship and a decrewing nightmare, wonder how it is or feels to play against nowadays xD
I think people complain about WT because their head canon is programmed after 10 years of WOWS. Similar to how people can't accept new actors in established roles. Bond, Superman, etc.
Your vids inspired me to give WT naval another go and its actually growing on me. Tho the dmg model is so unintuitive, very hard to understand wtf youre supposed to be aiming for
WT naval healthpoint use the crew number, and depend on your ammo and target position also change where to shoot for example if a broadside ship and you have good penetration HE, try to aim just hull below the gun with ammo storage and around engine room, if you cant penetrate the hull just damaging the superstructure also reducing the crew, APHE/SAP work too but we might overpen it instead of explode inside the hull, depend on the caliber but keep in mind a damaged area might out of crew for a moment until it repaired / replaced by other crew so repeated damage on same area wont reduce the crew number oh and every gun matter in wt naval, dont forget to switch to your secondary / auxilary if your main gun were damaged and waiting repair (if they still available as well) and personal tips, if you play coastal switching from the low rate of fire 45-100mm cannon to sec/aux 20-40mm actually work better
It highly depends on what your are shooting at. For small speedboats you often aim for the crew compartments or disabling dangerous guns (or exposed high explosives on deck like torpedos/mines). For larger ships aim for the magazines for the larger guns if you can get past the armor protecting it. If you can't, shoot for crew spaces and exposed aa guns to kill crew or try to flood unprotected hull parts. The x ray mode and armor view mode are great tools to check for weak spots. Also use the xray view when your shells hit to see how effective your fire is. You can see if your schrapnell goes into the hull or magazine or not. You can also shoot funnels or fuel stores to create fires for damage and crew kills. Or engines to create easy torpedo targets.
I absolutely DESPISE the SKR-7 lmao. it's so fucking powerful against anything unarmored. I've been in 1v1 fights with them in early CL's like the Omaha, Sendai, and Kuma. and they just rip you apart
i like the looks and gameplay of WT.. until you hit top tier and its like 3 meta ships and a lot of things that suck, but up to the middle is really solid (i think they need more ships to raise the OP stuff up out of the top of mid tier )
0:10 Yeah, War Thunder does have quite decent graphics for basically being a thirteen yéar old game (it has of course gotten some upgrades since then, but the core game isn't a "new" one different from the 2012 release). I also don't get why people would be complaining about Naval's graphics - that's the least of that gamemodes problems... I think we all agree that this game has some major issues in the grind & balancing department, but of course that's nothing special for a "F2P" game... (I'm not saying it's that much better with WOWS). Still, I think if one wants to play a warship game, WOWS does that better than WT naval.
WOWS is only a great naval warship game if your idea of a warship is a RC car on a sheet of ice. No proper inertia, scale or boat physics going on. As much as I hate the balance and grind in WT, you do feel you control a proper boat with all its weapons and damage happening to it. There is nothing like a close range destroyer battle with all anti air guns blazing as secundairies while trying to get your guns depressed as your ships heels over from flooding. Or doing airstrikers against a sea of flak bursts and tracer fire while your controll a dive bomber.

at 12:02, I think the Moffett's VT shell might have detonated that plane's bomb mid-air which saved you and blew the plane up, it can happen.
Flamu uploads more and more WT naval. WeeGee is in trouble
Eh WG and Gaijin are both about equally shitty moneyhungry companies who definetely have game balance and fun as their number one priorities ;)
@@lordhickory3322 but wg is arguably a lot more moneyhungry company than gaijin
@@dabu55ify ouuuh not so sure... I think they are both unhealably bad xD
@@lordhickory3322 One is bad but atleast you can find “Some fun” another is “I don’t like you to have fun”
@@dabu55ify Both are equally bad
11:39 The reason that 1936A didn't die when your torps hit him is because SETs have a godawful warhead since they're ASW torpedoes
Yeah those WT videos are way more enjoyable to watch as Flamu seems to actually enjoy playing the game unlike 90% of it's WoWs content

Those torps are anti submarine use, they have almost no filler in them, they tickle more than anything

but then only his bow compartment flooded and he was able to fight on? Like that mechanic a lot more than just being a dot or kill.
Night time battleship fights are absolute cinema.

The SKR is just nasty. The Gaijin-bot SKRs will snipe your plane from far away.

Anyway Braviy (1967) vid when? She has 380 mm guided anti air missiles
If you have an unrecoverable breach, could you beach yourself and just become a shore gun emplacement?
The game will count you down and kick you out of your ship when you beach and can't get loose. Same as going out of the map in ground battles.
