I was thinking about this before about how horrible it is when you first start, no knowledge, no crew skill, slow asf repairs, no clue about shell drop and leading targets the list goes on it’s so painful, if you choose France as your first tech tree well yeah the pain is even worse
@@dannyjayke8695 there should be recommended tech trees (USA, Russia) for new players, if they picked hard TT (France, Japan), they'll just leave the game.
Honestly, it is painful. Especially if you start with something like Stugs. And if you were like me and didn't research another vehicles for lineup... It sucked.

I've played this game 100% free and recently reached lvl 100 so I was thinking of making a video of my experiences lol. To F2P players the best thing gaijin ever did was the economy changes last summer. I probably would have quit the game by now if it weren't for those.

I am wholeheartedly convinced that dollar plays is probably the best war thunder player. If he decides really lock in, I think we’ve only seen 5% of his potential power because we are not capable of comprehending the remaining 95%.

Gotta say, seeing someone as expecienced as Dollarplays fluctuate between having a 12 kill streak in a tank to dying without a kill in the next two respawns is so validating I've been struggling breaking into low tier on some nations and I always thought that a 'good' player is supposed to wipe the floor with enemies in low tier constantly, good to know that even the pros struggle sometimes

The thing about new players is that they are just happy to drive tanks. They dont really care about doing well in the beginning. That means even though for us it would be painfull, for them its just fun
oh boi i remember that time when british tech tree first time coming,its so painful to grind,but when getting Centurion Mk 10 yup that time in 7.0 it was so good and frequently meeting down tier Patch 1.55 Royal Armour
If you want another idea for a challenge video: Turn off engine sounds. Make a a bit harder than it is for players without headsets lol P.S. Great video as always
You brought back so many memories... The A13 Mk II is an absolute pleasure to play, in 2021 when I first started playing WT, it was the first tank that allowed me to get 11 kills. Loved the video keep up the amazing work!

Glorious 60mm valentine front armour. Gets oneshot by a US 37mm gun. At least I did that a lot yesterday^^ 60mm is only enough against auto-cannons like Panzer IIs. Or if you manage to sidescrap really good.
Free to play only is always so interesting when seen from someone else's perspective... Only reason I survived the first months of grinding was the free 6 million SL, free low tier "premium"(s), and actually PLAYING THE OBJECTIVES lol. I got them free stuff from using a youtuber's code and it did help quite a lot. I've seen so many new players just rush in to the enemy spawn to try and spawncamp them and dying with no kills lmao. That's never gonna get you the RP nor SL, man...

I've been teaching a few buddies from work to play, and their perspectives coming from games like CoD and WoWS is wild. They never look around or have situational awareness, they just hold W and charge in. Air or ground rb. They hate naval and refuse to even try it because WoWS made them hate boats. Also, they're on console and console controls by default are INSANE and stupid. They still like the game tho, and will continue grinding.
War Thunder makes me think about how much cooked, human slag is found by scavengers/asset recovery groups inside tanks. Must be like opening up a toasty can of the worst things you've seen/smelled.

Yeah, they did some great changes recently, and they need to continue with that

Last summer's economy changes were good, but the long delayed RP bonuses were major let down.
