When the dean took off his clothes he was wearing Jeff’s orange and blue striped underwear from the pool episode. Details like this are one of the things that make his show great
@@Fordo007 Where Jeff wanted to learn to play pool, but he wouldn't wear the shorts, and during the show down with the couch they both stripped naked. The dean picked up his blue and orange striped underwear.

Might be a fun fact to know that Leonard's actor was in dozens of different shows/tv movies since the early 20th century and was a very accomplished actor before he was cast here. So his line about "getting into the tv game" is that much funnier

It's literally one of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen. It's almost as underrated as Seasons 5 & 6.
The Dean was wearing riding pants (jhodpurs) and boots because that was what the stereotype of the demanding taskmaster director in the days of old Hollywood like Cecil B. Demille would wear. He'd be wearing jodhpurs, boots, carrying a riding crop and yelling "Action!" into a megaphone.

Loved this episode. Per your question, Dean Pelton is dressed as Cecil B. Demille one of the most famous directors during the Golden Age of Hollywood. This was one of his most famous outfits. I'm surprised the film buffs in the group didn't catch that.

That possum was actually in the studio. Zooey Deschanel had the New Girl studio fumigated and it pushed the possum to the Community studio

They mention Heart Of Darkness, which is the book that inspired Apocalypse Now, which has a "director's cut" called Apocalypse Now REDUX.
Actually they mentioned "HeartS of Darkness" which was the documentary about the making of "Apocalypse Now" which was inspired by the book "Heart of Darkness".
Hearts of Darkness is the documentary, it’s pretty great. Especially if you like filmmaking

Poor Chevy Chase, was treated like absolute shit by Dan Harmon, and somehow still came out the bad guy.
A typical season 3 episode : more meta than consistently funny. It has some hilarious bits, and the cast is awesome as usual, but it goes too far. The zombie episode was going too far in a good way, that was... an interesting, but not convincing way.
Oh, and you guys make interesting remarks in the last part of your video as usual, but did you hear all the lines ? This time, you were pretty chatty.
