Damnit guys you're both here, I was working on a 2.95 tons eeloo mission to beat hazard-ish when the last version came out with the cheating paraglider.
I dropped the heavy rtg and 2 solar panels (its not really needed), and the ion tanks is half the weight now. That is a lot less dead weight to haul around.
@@rickharper4533 everyone assumes all of his videos are fake, the only ones that were fake was his single tank tylo and tilt wing, neither of which involved eeloo at all, and he completely owned up to them which i have mad respect for. This kind of thing genuinely blows my mind. I've never even landed on a different planet, and the lightest KERBIN orbiter I've managed to make was only just under 10 tons! 2.7 tons to eeloo!?!?! Awesome!
Would be cool if every KSP youtuber worked together and made a ultra rocket like "0.1 ton SSTO manned submarine SRB only 100 kerbals direct(no gravity assists) mission to Eeloo and back 500 times"

I think you need to understand what over exaggerating is. Also, a broken record is still a broken record. If there was a book of KSP records, Turbo's name would be there, not Hazard's.
Congratulations on beating Hazard-ish's record for lightest craft sent to Eeloo! Very impressive! I wonder, though: Would this have been possible without Kerbal parachutes?

Absolutely but this was a eeloo direct mission. I try to avoid gravity assists for the moment, since all the maneuver node tweaking is murder on my arm and shoulder.
>Why don't you use a mod like precise node? To keep the game stock? Same question. Thing like this or Kerbalgineer even hardly can be considered as cheating, they just make interface rather more friendly.
It's great that they've introduced personal chutes to the game, but I kinda miss the crazy lithobraking stunts people had to pull off for minimal missions.

Turbo Pumped nicely done! I like your competition with Hazard-ish!
Turbo Pumped if this craft is that old, how was it landed before the parachute existed?
2 aluminium fins for drag/gliding + cubic octagonals for lithobraking
Turbo Pumped and did the delta v increased in a noticable way after erasing that pieces?
Only by a couple of hundred m/s, those parts are very light.

And the second way makes so much pain for the apologists of the first.
Yea long term missions with such small craft are basically impossible unfortunately.
What I use is a command pod, a Mailsail thruster, a large fuel tank, EAS thrusters, a parachute, and too much time.

I wanna do that to every single planet, moon, asteroid, heck NOTH EVEN JOOL OR KERBOL (Kerbol is the sun) ARE SAFE FROM MY HUGS

that's pretty sad tbh
Very, very impressive! :)
Thanks , your brilliant eeloo video inspired me :)
Gotta overcome it now yay
I had a lot of trouble making rockets under 2.5 tons... the problem is that the ascent stage is too heavy
I love your videos Hazard-ish!!
Damnit guys you're both here, I was working on a 2.95 tons eeloo mission to beat hazard-ish when the last version came out with the cheating paraglider.
Hazard-ish: *3.6 tons, 12 gravity assists, over 80 years in flight*
Turbo Pumped: *2.7 tons, 0 gravity assists, about 10 years in flight*
...How?
I dropped the heavy rtg and 2 solar panels (its not really needed), and the ion tanks is half the weight now.
That is a lot less dead weight to haul around.
Yup. I USED to like harzardish

The things that the Kerbal parachutes have made possible are amazing.

Somehow it goes farther than your slightly heavier Gilly Mission a bit while back. Very impressive indeed.

Hi Bradley
Love to see the videos keeping coming. Keep up the great work!

That KSC landing after a capture aerobreak was godly.
Wow! That was a great achievement! I can hardly get to the moon with a 50 ton rocket!
Jesus. How many tries does it take to land back at the ksc
4 times I think . The parachute certainly dont like 550 kg asymetric loads :)
Yeah! How do you gauge your re entry? Pe, AP, landmarks?
Pe + ksc marker and also the vessels drag (the Firefly is very draggy)
Did you use stock? Or was there a few mods involved
all stock
with this new update i cant wait to see all the things powered by Kerbachutes
Congratulations on beating Hazard-ish's record for lightest craft sent to Eeloo! Very impressive! I wonder, though: Would this have been possible without Kerbal parachutes?
Yes it was originally a 2,9 ton litho braking design , It passed all my tests , but i never got the opportunity to do the mission .
I think hazard-ish will try a 2.0 ton and then Turbo Pumped less than 2 ton.
We're rapidly approaching the point where the Kerbal weighs more than the actual rocket.
A Kerbal weighs as much as a twitch engine and about 4 cubic octagonal struts on EVA.
Max J. Spooder engine for atmo, ant for vac (ant is more efficient but spider is better 4 atmosphere) there you go 0.7 kn atmosphere 2kn vac and suler efficient
I don't know why nasa doesn't just use this technology.
because they don't have the right to put an astronaut for 10 year in this thing
Auxence Fromont I was joking. This would clearly not work irl.

The approach at Eeloo. I was screaming like that beaver meme. Dang what a mission.

Absolutely but this was a eeloo direct mission.

Only about 200 kg less , thanks to the heavy jet and Ion engine.
