    This is a 1 1/2 year old design I dusted off. Im surprised it still works properly after so many updates.
    I can upload the craft file if you want , its not that hard to pilot, except for the paragliding part .

    Almost every KSP player preparing for a mission: "We'll need a command pod, some extra parachutes for the return, a heatshield, oh let's not forget science, loads of solar panels, extra batteries, these cool looking landing legs, and a powerful engine so we don't have to spend hours burning".
    A select crazy few: "Hmm, a seat, we can mount it on the batteries. The smallest engine we can find, a bit of fuel for it, just enough solar panels, and we'll throw in a science experiment for fun".

      What I use is a command pod, a Mailsail thruster, a large fuel tank, EAS thrusters, a parachute, and too much time.

      Usually i forget the parachutes.
      Sometimes i also forget the heat shield
      Most times i forget the solar panels
      I used only one nerv in a lot of missions

      I dropped the heavy rtg and 2 solar panels (its not really needed), and the ion tanks is half the weight now.
      That is a lot less dead weight to haul around.

      @@rickharper4533 everyone assumes all of his videos are fake, the only ones that were fake was his single tank tylo and tilt wing, neither of which involved eeloo at all, and he completely owned up to them which i have mad respect for. If you think one panther engine can't lift 3.6 tons then you are a bit special my friend.

    This kind of thing genuinely blows my mind.
    I've never even landed on a different planet, and the lightest KERBIN orbiter I've managed to make was only just under 10 tons! 2.7 tons to eeloo!?!?! Awesome!

      Yes it was originally a 2,9 ton litho braking design , It passed all my tests , but i never got the opportunity to do the mission .

      Max J. Spooder engine for atmo, ant for vac (ant is more efficient but spider is better 4 atmosphere) there you go 0.7 kn atmosphere 2kn vac and suler efficient

    Couldn't you have cut down xenon requirements by using gravity assists? Surely that would make it lighter?

      Absolutely but this was a eeloo direct mission.
      I try to avoid gravity assists for the moment, since all the maneuver node tweaking is murder on my arm and shoulder.

      Only about 200 kg less , thanks to the heavy jet and Ion engine.
      I have tried junos too but they suuuck :)

      That was for final orbit adjustments before landing, I usually dont record minor course adjustments, only the important stuff.
