    Which assist do you struggle the most with? :)

    • @DaVinci-vj7ku

      Racing line, it’s the only assist I still use, I just can’t nail the braking zones, I always brake to soon or forget to look for my braking point

    • @mfgCarlos
      @mfgCarlos 3 года назад +1

      its not the racing line but the brake indikator in it. i can not understand why codemasters do not give us just the racing line without any brake indikators (was a standard since grand prix 1) so my assist im struggle the most: brakeindikator in racing line and manual shifting

    Hi thomb just wanted to say i seen this video and i am going to be taking all your tips on board. I am recently stopped using ABS on within the first few hours of trail braking it was so clear to me that the no assists way was the only way to go. BUT the biggest hurdle for me is the no TC I can do it on TT or my team but when i hit the track for league races it's like i am ice. I did like the part where you made the noise of engine being low i think that's where i am making the mistakes i let it rev far too high. Anyway i just wanted to let you know thanks for this video and I hope your channel grows. Take care. by the way " I was here " 😉

    • @THOMB
      @THOMB  3 года назад +1

      If you want to learn the quickest, turning everything off at once is the way to go. Heads up though; you will be a lot slower at first, but once you start getting to grips with it, you’ll be done with putting off assists straight away! It depends a little on how much perseverance you have haha :)

      Not necessarily but I’d recommend to keep ABS on if you’re using controller, it’s not worth learning to be honest as it doesn’t earn you too much time relatively to how hard it is to learn

      Thanks for watching Trevor! Yes, overall a wheel is easier to perfect than a controller, as that is 1:1 to the actual racing ofcourse. The less assists you use, the quicker you potentially can become, including manual gears! 😎

      @@THOMB may need to invest in a wheel and chair. I am waaaay to tense/jerky on a controller. Cannot finesse it enough.

    Thomb, great video, I’m using a Logitech g29 and I feel like I Lowkey have no force feedback, does anyone else have this problem or can you help ? With wheel settings, tried to use ur wheel settings and it felt worse. Maybe a glitch with the game, any help would be appreciated.

      Did you try and download the Logitech G hub software that is needed for the wheel?

    Is manual gears on controller worth it?

    • @THOMB
      @THOMB  3 года назад

      Could be! Depends if you have the ability to change gears while being able to focus on the driving too. But using less assists will always be faster!

    “Avoid the kerbs in 2021”
    *Drives all over the kerbs in this game, somehow not losing control*
    I don’t understand it , I’ve driven the exact same line, applied the same amounts of throttle and brake and my car spins out, are the physics just random I don’t get it

    • @THOMB
      @THOMB  3 года назад

      I reckon you are referring to me using a lot of track at the entry kerbs of turn 2 and 3 at Austria. The secret is to have no wheels on the white and red, as these kerbs are very uneven, and to have your tyres on the even surface on the left of the kerbs, so your right tyres are still on the track. For Austria in particular, this is how you can avoid to lock up. In general you want to avoid the white and red kerbs and if you can, go over it with your left or right wheels completely while braking :) Hope that helps
