    The key to a good laptime in F1 2020 lies in your braking performance; the later you can brake and still make a corner, the faster you will go.
    If you’re locking up and don’t know how stop, I can help with this F1 2020 tutorial.
    Today we’ll be learning how to drive without ABS in F1 2020.
    We’ll learn how the system works, the techniques you need to know when turning it off, and will also look at a few settings you can tweak along the way.

    Your videos have been SO helpful! It's my first time with wheel and pedals, so this has been incredible. Super informative and concise!
    One minor suggestion, I found the song a bit distracting. This, imo, is due to the kick being a bit loud in this particular song, so even though overall the volume was just right (such that it gives a nice backdrop without interfering with your voice) the kicks are louder than the rest of the song, making it standout, and those were around the same volume as your voice, making it a bit distracting. At least for me.
    Otherwise great stuff as usual! Keep them coming 😉

    • @PJTierney
      @PJTierney  3 года назад +4

      Audio is not my strong point, so thanks for this 👍🏻
      So essentially, try something a little less punchy, or was it just the peaks in that particular track?

    • @GabrielFernandes-yy3wi
      @GabrielFernandes-yy3wi 3 года назад +3

      @@PJTierney Yeah, I less punchy could be a general way to put it. That particular track had some loud kicks so definitely a bit of an outlier. Nothing wrong with the track being upbeat but maybe lookout for when some sound in the track is going a bit louder than the rest and how that compares with your voice level.
      On another note, just tried your suggestions and managed to toggle break assists all the way off, so thank you!

      I play on an Xbox controller and the trigger vibrates when you're near the limit of grip.
      Next time you're on-track pay attention to how and where the controller vibrates when you brake, turn and accelerate. When you identify the thing that shakes when you're about to lock up, pay attention to it all the time.

    • @PJTierney
      @PJTierney  3 года назад +1

      @@fluffyboy27 One thing to consider is that if you don't have all the R&D upgrades for durability, you're probably wearing the parts more than normal.

But prepare yourself to spend more to adapt the parts.

    I know how to breaking without ABS. However, I have no idea how to do It faster... On RUclips I can see o lot of onboards when people breaking at 70-100 meters. I cant do that because i locking up or do a spin in the corner because it is too fast. My pedals is T2PA. Can someone help me?

      I'm guessing it's a very strong sense of the limits with excellent pedal control. You can push super hard initially but then have to bleed off the pressure as you slow down.
      Setup might also help.

    How do you do that with a controller?

      Same really, though on Xbox you do have the benefit of triggers that vibrate when you're about to lock up.

    I’m still faster with abs on, how to improve my lap times when switched off?

    • @PJTierney
      @PJTierney  3 года назад +1

      Having it off gives you more control and allows you to brake later, but the downside is that you might lock up.

      you can drive exactly as fast with abs on than with abs off at least in f1 2020 so don‘t focus too much on it

      I drove without ABS for a very long time on a pad 🙂
      If you're on Xbox I think it's easier than a wheel as the trigger will vibrate just before you lock up.
