Man... Would you believe I'm at 30k LP and I had no clue how to trigger the 3rd version of the super. I always assumed it was random 😅. The no armor damage piece is incredible!
Ah, hello there Kachoufuugetsu Kai. You weird parry super that doesn't catch crossups and only occasionally is helpful against projectiles. Did not expect to see you in this game.
Very cool. Had no idea this existed. Do you know how it interacts with projectiles? You talked about how normal lvl 1 is to slow to punish projectiles unless you're really looking for it, but will this freeze them in place if you get hit by a projectile? I'm gonna check that out when I get home.
I apologize for rambling as much as I did in the video that ended up stretching the duration to as long as it is hahah. I answered your question at the very end of the video: no, projectiles hitting Marisa while charging do not freeze the opponent or trigger the counter version of the super; it is much like the difference between Perfect Parrying a strike and a projectile
I had assumed you could, since safe jumps typically succeed by exploiting the startup time of invincible reversals, and this has no real startup time before the armor is active. Upon testing it, I found that the safe jump attack (I used Blanka jumping MK) triggers the counter, gets frozen in the air, but then suddenly shifts to sitting on the ground and is able to block the counter attack. Safe jumps win again.
@@timmytheturtle Nah, it's just a standard knockdown. Jamie can combo after his lvl 3 because it launches the opponent. Marisa can combo after moves like OD Quadriga and OD Phalanx because they cause wall splat/tumble state
I always got this by accident, had no idea what the input was, thanks for the video!
This would have been an amazing test against Honda or Blanka, I'm a Marisa main and didn't know this existed either

interesting
does it beat throws like a standard invincible lvl 1 super?
No, it's only armor. No invincibility 😢
Can you beat safejumps with this?

Can't this last version of super be DR canceled into follow up ?
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, here; you can only DR cancel certain normal attacks, not specials or supers
@@SlimXG not a cancel per se but when she's back to neutral, DR dash into a follow up like Jamie after lvl 3 ?

This getting nerfed...😢
why? It isn't even good except against safejumps
Lmao yeah nerf the WORST supper in the game
