Mine arrived 3 days ago. Ive done 500kms already. I had a 2019 sp, this one is significantly improved. The indicator is pissing me off, but i will get used to it. I did 320kms today and i was very comfortable all day. Im absolutely loving it.

Mate, you think your wait was bad - at least you've got the summer upcoming. I waited all the way through the summer for mine and got it just as the leaves fell off the trees.

Is it possible to tour on that bike? Right now I'm riding a MT07 '22 but I just don't like the suspension.
About the break-in-period:
The book will usually tell you that you can ride it like normal, after its warmed up.
Warm up the bike at slightly higher RPMs.

Hahah yeah man alot of people do ask about them. I've covered them in a separate video on my 2023 SP. Took them straight off there and put them on the 2024.

It is indeed a delightful occasion for me to upgrade from my 2016 MT-07, which has been a reliable companion for nearly nine years. I am grateful to my dealership for informing me about the availability of the new 2024 MT-09 SP arriving on the 12th of August, and I have put my name down. I am filled with anticipation for the novel riding experience that awaits me a whole new chapter.

The indictor buttons are huge, so pushing the horn button a little bit downward, making it very hard to reach in an emergency.

Basically mate they don't provide the best vision. They do a great job of showing your blind spot however. I just don't like bar end mirrors, or the look of the stock mirrors, so sacrificing a bit of function for sure.
I'm not sure about Yamaha's break in instructions but In alot of cases its not good to keep the bike at a continuous rpm and you want to go up in the revs and then allow the bike to use engine brake which help seating the piston rings in properly and allow the bikes to cool down properly, I'm sure its fine I just though Id let you know.🙏

I just picked up a 23 SP today, kind of getting FOMO with the 24 model but I think they're close enough that the differences a negligible for the most part for me. Maybe when the 25/26 comes out lol
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Though, I haven't ridden the '24 model I have extensively ridden the ''23 and I feel that it's a fantastic bike. You're probably not missing out on much.
Is it true they reduced the size of the air intakes and this gen actually makes less power than the 3rd gen?
Not sure mate. I can tell you it feels exactly the same power wise.
Love mine turned up last friday, now to learn the bike espiecially coming from 2020 mt07

When did you order the bike? I put a deposit down in January, and i still have no updates. The last update was in June. Everything went quiet after that.
I ordered back in November 2023 bro.

Mine is in the dealer... however my dealer is taking his sweet time letting me know all the bank details for the transfer to complete the purchase so I can't get it yet. And he says it's still in a box surrounded by other bikes. 🤦
