Poorly built bike with a ton of half baked tech 😕

Mine arrived 3 days ago. Ive done 500kms already. I had a 2019 sp, this one is significantly improved. The indicator is pissing me off, but i will get used to it. I did 320kms today and i was very comfortable all day. Im absolutely loving it.

When did you order the bike? I put a deposit down in January, and i still have no updates. The last update was in June. Everything went quiet after that.

Love mine turned up last friday, now to learn the bike espiecially coming from 2020 mt07

Mine is in the dealer... however my dealer is taking his sweet time letting me know all the bank details for the transfer to complete the purchase so I can't get it yet. And he says it's still in a box surrounded by other bikes. 🤦

I still need to test-ride the new MT09. Only sat on it at the dealership.. Is it possible to tour on that bike? Right now I'm riding a MT07 '22 but I just don't like the suspension. About the break-in-period: The book will usually tell you that you can ride it like normal, after its warmed up. Warm up the bike at slightly higher RPMs.

I'm not sure about Yamaha's break in instructions but In alot of cases its not good to keep the bike at a continuous rpm and you want to go up in the revs and then allow the bike to use engine brake which help seating the piston rings in properly and allow the bikes to cool down properly, I'm sure its fine I just though Id let you know.🙏

I've been watching social media and the motorcycle market for quite a long time. Never fails: updated or new bike is released, heavily polarized opinions abound. People get used to a model for a couple years (the same model they vomited all over at first) and when it gets a refresh in design, they come out swinging and angry again. Ever. Single. Time.

The MT-09 at idle (with full exhaust) sounds like a prop airplane idling.

These look amazing, though the best all round bike imo is the T120 Triump Bonneville.

Honestly was tossing between a 23 and a 24 Bought a 23 4,000km used and with mods, couldn’t justify spending $5k more to get a bike that has a slightly better screen and keyless start, plus I’d have to buy all the stuff this bike had anyway, windscreen, exhaust etc. I think right now it’s an incredibly bad value proposition Gonna wait 2 years or so when they aren’t $20,500 (the price of a small car)

I’m trading my 2015 FZ09 for the 2024 MT09 SP. it’s come a long way!

Im in the us and i want to upgrade from the 2020 mt09 to the 2024 however i really want the xsr900 gp which isn't currently available in the us. Knowing my luck i would get the 24mt09 and 2 weeks later the xar900gp would come to the States. I bought my 2020 and a few months later the new redesigned mt09 came out. Tbh im still very hapy with my mt09 ater over 20k miles especially because qbout 18k of that is with the woolich racing tools bidirectional quickshifer and launch control. Ive definitely considered and mt10 bout my mt09 does 160mph and handles better than the mt10 so i cant justify it. If i really went crazy id get a Ducati street fighter v4 s 180+mph and it revs to 15k plus that or a zh2 with intake exaust tune and supercharger pulley.

Saw it live, the front light is super ugly, I stay with my 2022 MT09 SP.

The new tech on the 4th gen are very nice! Love that the front light/head is lowered, however i dont like the face as much. I find the sportier ergos on the new one very attractive, so ive ordered a 2DGT-04-17-B Gilles Adjustable Handlebar Risers to move them lower and further forward, as well as their rearset to get pegs more up and back. Im getting steelbraded brake lines to further sharpen the stopping power just a smudge. With theese upgrades i hope i get similar ergos as the new gen. With these upgrades im only missing the tech i hope. Ive put way to much money on upgrades such as exhaust, mirrors, levers, tail tidy, bar ends, protectors and so on to sell it. Sentimental value for the bike is too much for me to sell it 😂 plus i got a reallt good deal on it when i bought it. Dont know if ill dare to try the new gen, just in case i change my mind 😂😂😂

Just tried the new model and I my gen3 feels more comfertable. All other new features is not enough for me to swap bikes.

this mod 1 , have an impact at your driving ? you know , 1 mod keep you on kind of train rails ?? ! Cause averybody said how playful is the Tracer 900 and Mt09 ,but when i ride it , i didnt find it playful at all . Now... this conclusion is falty cause the bike was set at mod 1 when i ride it ??????

Hit me up if you plan any more rides and have a bit extra time up your sleeve - I've got a bunch of cool angles at that location plus have 4k 120fps video capabilities I'm keen to experiment with a bit more!

I am so glad i catch the 3 gen. The 4 gen only the tank is nicer for me and the tft ,the rest of the bike not so much! When the time comes the next is MT10 .

Is It really removes the jerking in low revs?

I can't stand the new 2024 front lights. Yuck! The single light on the 2023 looks way better.
