I believe somehow the map got missing for both, hence falling infinitely. But the first one seems to only load the paramedic attending patient on stretcher, which would otherwise only be on the top right during normal gameplay.
I remember a glitch in Harley-Davidson & L.A. Riders where I jammed my bike into a UFO and kept spinning around in circles (near the Hollywood checkpoint). I used the Dyna Wide Glide.
