  • The Suzuki Baleno is one of the go-to hatchbacks for our Indian consumer because of its amazing fuel efficiency, spacious interiors and because it's easy to maintain. But, Suzuki had come out with a performance oriented version of the Baleno called the Baleno RS and it sported the 1.0L Turbo 3-Cylinder engine called the Booster Jet! This was the first car to get such an engine and in fact, VW's Polo 1.0 TSI and the Hyundai i20 N-Line have actually followed the Baleno RS' footsteps. Want to know why you should buy the Baleno RS, watch the whole video to find out!

Boosterjet 1.0 was not the first car with a 1.0gdi engine, it was ecoboost 1.0 on the ecosport. It was available in India since 2013. It is still the most powerful 1.0 gdi on paper.

What the RS desperately needed was a good suspension tune. Get a good coil over kit (like Blitz or Tien) and the magic will unfold. You will find that you actually do not need an iota more of power to enjoy this car. Also what was not said in the video is that this has rear disc brakes as well.

its totally waste of money for me personally i will not pay such a huge amount just for performance secondly its mileage as it is a performance based engine i could not get more than 10 km/pl even after a smmoth driving and on the highway it may give around 15-16
Very poor steering response hard suspension
Thirdly and the important point its maintenance is 5x of normal petrol baleno and when it come to part replacement be ready to empty your pockets and also you will not get the spares easily once car gone to workshop for replacement it's not returning to home within 2-3 days i would rate this car 2.5 out of 5

Mate 😂, these cars are the closest things to "hot hatches" we can get in India, and I think have elaborated that pretty well. Moreover, you aren't a real enthusiast if you think the iMT is a good transmission. It's literally the worst sort of transmission. You don't get the satisfaction of changing gears nor do you get the quick shifts of an auto. You're just lazy and ignorant if you get the iMT.

@@SohamSaraf Bro, I would have agreed with you if Hyundai had given an imt transmission in their 'i20 N'. i20 N line is not a hot hatch, neither does Hyundai claim it to be a hot hatch. Its a sporty looking family car made for day to day driving on streets. Just because companies doesn't give their real hot hatches in India doesn't mean we can call it a hot hatch or pass judgements based on that. See it for what it is and what it is made for. Yes manual transmission is a better pick, but at what cost ?
The city traffic is absolutely on it's peak throughout the day, people spending 10 lakhs on a car then going for therapy to fix knee joints after driving in city traffic, instead the IMT was introduced to reduce the cost of an automated transmission so that even a person on low budget can afford the convenience and luxury of an automatic.
Neither you are nor am i a NASCAR professional driver that we need a downshift or upshift on the blink of an eye. Try to keep up with the technology and research that the car makers are investing for their customers to make their driving experience wonderful. The IMT transmission has been designed according to the ideal driving habits that one should have even while driving a manual transmission. Btw IMT can be faster than DCT. See this for proof www.zigwheels.com/news-features/news/hyundai-venue-turbo-imt-vs-manual-gearbox-vs-dct-performance-fuel-efficiency-compared/39602/#leadform.
