If you have noticed that your engine is weak, your vehicle won't accelerate well, it stalls out, or it has entered limp mode (the engine cuts off at low RPM), and a check engine code P2135, you have a problem with your throttle body position sensors. Unfortunately, you will have trouble driving your vehicle until the problem is resolved and the code is cleared. I know it's quite off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?
I finally understand that darned code that cost me a ton of money just to figure out the real problem had to replace the throttle body which in all honesty I thought the mechanic just seen me as another dollar makes me feel better to know he really was taking care of me.
In my case, the scan tool gave me 17 codes relating to the TPS, the accelerator sensors, etc. so I knew the problem was not in the throttle body. After checking the wiring harnesses again, I found out a rodent had chewed on two wires going to the control module next to the brake cylinder. It was hard to see but that was it. Fixing those two wires saved me a ton of money.

Thanks for your great videos. MY Trusty suburban did this last night but it was dark so i checked the codes before coming in. P120 p220 and more.... car had been sitting for a day. This morning a cute ground squirrel was watching me open the hood. Three of the wires were still connected.
I just thought I would add input as to what fixed my vehicle because it kept sending my throttle body and gas pedal sensor codes ... turned out the oil was low and the place I got it from didn't check fluids apparently so I was able to save a few thousand bucks on a good vehicle. Hope this helps someone who is having random trouble

Never knew there is high and low dielectric grease. I have crc dielectric grease in a red dispenser. Just ordered rotor and brake pad kit for a 1995 Honda odyssey from a1 very satisfied great price and quality.
So which type goes on this harness?? High or low?

Low tech "wiggle" test is a great beginning. Was often thinking of taking off the throttle plate but with mention of laser, glad I didn't. Never occurred to me that there was low voltage dielectric grease meant for computers. There is a warning about moving the throttle plate, manually when its operated by computer control.

Wanted to share my fix, Hopefully it will help someone! Had codes p0120 and p2135 simultaneously, I replace the O2 sensors, throttle body, vacuum hoses, MAF, plugs, pcv and the engine has only 8000 miles on a reman engine... still in Limp mode and pissing me off pretty bad! there was no way it could be any parts at this point so i started checking electrical and found nothing, So i bought another throttle control switch only this time and it came with a new connector(plug)went to put the new plug on and as i was splicing one by one low and behold, the grey wire basically fell out of the old connector(plug) hanging on by merely the insulation, put it back together and immediately out of limp mode, no codes and purrs like the B*^&ch it is!! probably 4-5 months every weekend trying new things. Check your wires!!!!
I changed the whole pedal and the problem solved !!
Sometimes it doesn't always seem to be the throttle body. ot could be throttle pedal, or secondary air injection
What about when experiencing Engine power is reduced, Service traction control and service stabilitrak in a 2011 chevy Silverado 1500 truck?

Having the same issue with a 2004 gmc yukon xl 1500
Try unplugging the negative terminal and plug it back with in 1 min
Same problem on 2012 chevy cruze and no one cant find the problem
What else causes Reduced Power mode? Bad ground? Accelerator pedal not communicating from the cab?
Actually GM has a service update for this code, so it should be a free fix. They told me it was intermittent & my computer, so I just ordered a new one as well as a new throttle body just in case. Still cheaper than what the dealership wanted for just the computer.

I can be driving at a steady highway speed for 45 minutes and it will suddenly happen. So I have to pull over and shut it down for one to two minutes. Then it will start and run fine for a few more days.
I changed my throttle body already and I'm still having a reduced engine power problem

Reduced engine power did not have this problem till I had my rear main seal fixed could it be a wire or is it really my throttle

I have this code I just got a new head and timing chain it was parked for about 4months before everything was replaced my mechanic told me to drive it for a while that it’s just a bit dirty and it will go away once I use it a bit longer ? Anyone know if that’s true?

I replaced the manifold and throttle body on my 5.3 to a 6.2 manifold and c7 95mm throttle body after replacing I got a check engine light on and engine power loss on my dash replaced all the old parts back on. Still have the same problem
My radiator was leaking and antifreeze sprayed back and now the lighting bolt light is on had it scanned and it said p2135 was code
What is the name of the scan tool you are using?
Do a throttle body relearn disconnect the battery then try it.
Throttle body's seem to be sensitive

My vehicle is saying power reduced what can be the problem when the power reduced come on the engine shuts off then I wait about 10 or 15 minutes it cranks up and the engine light goes off

What if I get no code . And I have also changed the throttle body to a Jet throttle body and still stalls while shifting into 2nd and third.. ?

Mine goes into or can go into engine power reduced even without the engine running with just the key turned on any help would be appreciated please ! I've been dealing with this issue for some time and now my truck just sits here waiting for death.
My 08 Silverado has a bad misfire and idle problem with a loud noise while running. Feels like it wants to die and when I press gas to go it jerks real bad.

Hi I have a 2008 GMC sierra Dinali I recently noticed that my oil pressure sensor readings zero so I went to replace the sensor and and digging through that screen and there was no screen the pick fall right in the hole ,how can I retrieve it back I took off the oil pan still there’s no sign of the pick what should I do?

I have a 2008 chevy colorado 2.9L engine and I'm have issues when my truck reaches to temperature when goes alittle bit above the temperature my truck attempts to try to turn off and sometimes it does actually turns off on me can I can't figure it out I already replaced my thermostat and my temperature sensor too and it still does it trys to turn off on me once it turned off on me when I was on the freeway and I was rolling down the freeway on the center lane and I immediately shift it into neutral and panicked and immediately switching lanes to get off the freeway to get on the side of the freeway out of traffic
Great video , question for you my acadia gmc goes into limp mode and stalls sometimes, ive replaced trottel body , mass air flow sensor., acceleration pedal sensor. Pcv, coolnt temp sensor. Thermostat, torque converter rebuilt. Oil and filter chaned. Spark plugs new. New crank sensor, good fuel pressure, still problem not solved any advice?

I replaced the sensor but now it idles extremely high. 2500 rpm.
I’m my case my I had 08 gmc Sierra that my dad had handed me down because he wouldn’t use it before he had gave it to me he changed the trans filter and fluid before it was smooth ran great shifted good after he did it it was like it was stuck in 3rd causing me to take off slow I got tired of it been so I took the filter out put another and found out a cable wasn’t connected from when he had did it he forgot so that can be a problem if u have a used truck or just a thought I was looking forever what the problem was I even scanned it nothing popped up
My GMC Acadia just get the code of reduced engine power and the temperature went up and also say A/C off🤷🏻♀️
Hi. I've got a 2003 Montero Limited 3.8L. Twice so far (1,000 miles apart) mine has gone into a condition where it will not accelerate. It idles and starts fine, but will not go over 40mph on level road, and takes a long time to get to that speed (severel minutes). It will be fine one moment and then begin this malfunction in the middle of driving it, in town or on interstate. I do have a TPS sensor code (P2135) but also cam and crankshaft sensors codes. The timing system is fine and it doesn't jerk or do anything strange except refuse to accelerate. I can turn it off and after 20 minutes it will operate fine again. Is the the TPS sensor getting hot and then it fails?

😢 I had that problem with my mercury mountaineer. And I switched the throttle body and instantly the check engine light goes off and the car start running nice n smooth again. But after 2 weeks I changed the throttle body check engine light goes on again. And it throw me the same code saying my sensor a/b again 😢
I have that same problem now. What did you end up doing? Put a tps in yesterday. Now pedal position code comes up.

It is not a good idea to clean all throttle bodies especially if it will require a program to relearn the throttle body after cleaning such as with a 2011 Silverado. Lol
a engine fault! reduced power engine fault ok full engine power no longer available. possible to continue journey. drive moderately. have the problem checked by the nearest bmw service. bmw x 5

Check your oil, when it gets low it goes into limp mode and forces your car to not accelerate well through the sensors that control acceleration
