Ah! Omg, I cannot believe I found this - I have a Dooney and Burke that I bought back in high school that's basically in perfect condition, but it has a giant black dye stain on the front...I thought all hope was lost. I will be trying this out. Thank you!
it totally depends on what you want, I thought this Pink will be the same as in the bottle, but it came out darker after sealing. I’m not really familiar with the colors of LV bags, but I would recommend to bring the bag with you when buying the paint and compare them :) I like the pink better than peach pink, but as I said, it depends on your likings :)
Hi, you have done a gorgeous job! When you say you use a microfiber cloth to apply the gloss, did you dip it in and then wipe on the bag? Paint it on and then wipe? Your finished piece is beautiful! ❤
I poured a little amount of finisher to a small plate and dipped the cloth in it and wiped on the bag evenly so basically same as you wrote. You really don’t need much, I did two thin coats and let it dry for a day :) (with the pink paint I think I waited a couple hours to dry before applying the finisher) Thank you for your kind words! :)
Between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd layer I waited like 5-10 minutes, then before the finisher a couple hours. Between the finisher layers I think around 10 minutes. And around 1 day to fully dry, I hanged it, without touching anything. I’m not an expert and it may depend on the actual fabric of the piece you paint, but you will get the hang of it! I watched a lot of videos where they said to kinda like “fix” every layer with acetone to get rid of the excess paint, but I didn’t feel the need to do so, so I skipped, but maybe you will need that (in those videos they painted with a different brush and another brand’s paint, maybe that was the reason behind). I started to paint the bottom of the bag, so even if I fuck it up, it won’t be TOO visible :D I hope these will help :) good luck!
Insane make over, I’ve seen some vintage reade totes that could be worth the try!

wow, I’m glad you found my video :) good luck with your refurbishing! ;)
Thank you for sharing
I usually hate painted bags but this looks great!
wow thank you! I’m glad you liked it! :)
Doing this soon, did the paint ended up chipping after? Still wondering if I should use paint or dye..
Not at all. I don’t wear this bag that much, but there are no cracks or anything! I store it in a dustbag in a drawer, just to be sure!
Hi, I have the Thompson street pink vernis , should I get the Angelus pink or peach pink colour ?

@vicpeh7477 did you do your bag yet? I’m fixing to do the same bag and wondering if 1oz will be enough for it
How is the bag now? Did they color stay glossy?
yes absolutely. I wear it sometimes, and when I don’t, it’s in a dustbag, so I protect it well :)
Any change after another year? @csillas.5546
Where can I get vachetta repaired.
I’m sorry I don’t know, I didn’t need to repair that, but try to find a leather specialist :)
Or you can go directly to LV, i had my nevefull top part of the lined vachetta replaced (not including the handles) $95

Hi.. i love your video😁 Does the bag sticky after applying the high gloss coat?
Hi! I’m so happy you liked it! No, it’s not sticky after you waited at least 24 hours to dry :)
Hello :) How many pots of paint did this require?
hii! less than a half of the pink one and less than 1/5 of the finisher :)
@@csillas.5546 thank you :) just ordered my bottle for my LV Thompson patent leather. Hopefully it covers it all up.
@@csillas.5546 also last question, how long does it take for the paint to dry?
