I’m glad Petey didn’t turn back being evil at the end. I wouldn’t want his character development erase.

Well I have bad news because I spotted that at the end of the book, in The End page, in the reflection of the pond, you can see Petey evil smiling, so he might have some evil left in him or I might just have a misprint, but it’s unlikely
It’s better than 11. 11 was overhyped af. However, what makes a Dog Man book great is the EMOTION. That’s why Dog Man 9 & 10 are the best. When Dav read 10’s “Where It All Began” chapter out loud before it released, I ACTUALLY CRIED.
Here’s the weirdest/worst part about this book: If you made Dr. Scum look different, like Dr. Cypher as you said, it would be better because we would have got an ORIGINAL CHARACTER. That’s what made Fetch-22 so good. A new character that’s never been done before. Although, I would like to see Flat Petey return…?
What are some examples of book 11 being overhyped?
In the Amazon description, it said “…and so much more than ever before!” There wasn’t. In the description it also says “WHAT other new villains are on the horizon? WHERE are they all coming from?” No new villains. Just Piggy. We waited 2 years and 5 days, and it got overhyped. I was crushed, but The Scarlet Shedder is WAAAAY BETTER.
P.S., on page 192, Petey’s mom signs the paper, “Grace.” Her name is Grace. AWESOME!
@@ImaDogGuy Holy crap I knew Dav overhyped the book but I didn’t know he straight up LIED to us by saying there’d be new villains in the book even though there wasn’t any. Also the Amazon description said that Piggy’s plan in the book was his most diabolical yet, but all he did was drop pies on people and rob a few banks. L Dav for making us wait 2 years for some overhyped garbage.
Also honestly I thought book 10 was kinda okay because the emotion was through the roof and it was pretty good but Petey and LP were practically the main characters.

This is already my new favorite Dog Man book, I loved it from start to finish, from Chief and Nurse Lady getting married to Dog Man staying red to Dr. Scum returning and everyone once again acted like he's 'new', Petey getting more development by caring more about Dog Man that he'll do anything to help, even by helping Dr. Scum, more memories of Petey's mom, with even Little Jim coming into the picture, the New and Improved Supa Buddies, the AI robots combining themselves together to create one giant robot with Petey quitting to help the Supa Buddies and finally the message where it's not about what's happening to you, it's how you react and yeah, this was way better than I thought and it was another overall success from Dav Pilkey.
I like this guy so much that I say that he deserves a diamond play button
This book was an amazing read. The only problem I have with the Scarlet Shedder is the ending.
This is the final book for the series, so it deserves a proper send-off. There could've a fast forward or new change with the characters. Like Chief retiring and Dogman taking his place, Lil Petey becomes a full time inventor like Petey, Molly growing up into a Frog etc.
But all we got was an epic final battle(which was not bad at all) and then the book ends with the supa buddies walking home with Petey preparing for bed. Aside from that, very solid book 😁👍
I don’t think its the last book. Otherwise, they would had make a great sent off or announce that the final book.

Honestly, this book could've been better.
Dog Man could've shown up more as the Scarlet Shedder.
He also could've been an outlaw, as well as Lil' Petey, Molly, 80-HD, and Petey. Petey would've been bitter that everyone thought he was bad again, even though he was good. When Lil' Petey interrupted Petey's dream, he could've been more sincere instead of being way out of character, as he was kind of a jerk. The Supa Buddies also could have been illegal as well, which would explain why they had to make different costumes. Robo-Scum and Robo-Dog Man also revolted for no reason, nobody was being jerks to them. People could have been treating them badly, so they revolted against that. The "adjusting your sails" would have worked better if Petey was mad at Dog Man for getting him outlawed. But, this is just my opinion.

The robots rebelled because they were being made slaves not exactly them, but their robot friends

At first I thought Petey was going back being a villain because he miss being evil but it was really because he was helping out Dogman after his bully Maude arrested him for petty reasons.
It say something since Petey was the one who cause both Officer Knight and Greg the dog to their deaths if it wasn’t for nurse lady. Petey was Dogman archenemy but now they are although Petey denies it, friends.
Actually I kinda also want a big Jim series he’s actually a pretty cool character and he’s pretty underrated

Little Jim isn’t an “”””all-new”””” character. He’s just young Big Jim.
My theory for peteys flat tail is that he went in traffic and escaped but his tail got run over my a car and his mom rushed him to the hospital

I have a theory that Nurse Lady will be pregnant and having a baby in book 13. If the baby is a boy it should be called Chief Jr. if the baby is a girl it should be called Genie S. II (Genie S. The Second).
It didn't really feel like an ending. So there may be a Dog Man 13 along with Cat Kid 6

although mothering heights will always be my favourite, this has to be the funniest and my second favourite
Mothering Heights is my favorite. It actually made me cry. Book 12..I didn’t really like it. Same with Book 11. I rate Scarlet Shedder a 3 out of 5.
It’s a massive improvement over 11. And already became one of the best Dog Man books
If the next book is part two to this with dog mans fur i hope its about dr scum using a bunch of old gadgets (robo cheif,burgle balls, colosallbot, and robo shark duck ) to do do evil stuff and when there like hey you did that hes like no im noo in town

I always thought Dr. Scum was the most dangerous villains. The others are mostly childish and petty level 1 or 2 villains.

My friend has a theory about this book that someone killed big Jim's parent and they didn't just die and so big Jim went to jail trying to get revenge on the person who killed his parents
