Didn’t expect this type of beat 🤙🏽
When a flashlight manufacturer uses their flashlight to hammer in a nail that’s a badass light!!! I have an rein 2.0 full on my AR 10 . The owl is great but limited on mounting to a rifle if you have a laser .
Oh yea! They’re tough as nails. Have a number of CD lights. Really wish they’d get the micro versions in stock again.
@@ChristianGrest I purchased the Blem two years ago, and I have the tea Rex arms offset mount goes nights with my pet 15
@@scottcampbell2585 never grabbed one of the blems, but I’d wouldn’t be opposed to.
Good looking flashlight.. Always a plus to have the pressure switch.
Yea I’m liking it. Gonna try out the pressure switch. I tend not to prefer them, but will give it a go this time
Good video! It's helpful to see these compared. FYI, the technical term for that ring on the head of the light is called a "bezel." On V1, it's "crenulated" and on V2 it's "smooth." Thanks for taking the time.
Thanks! Oh yea, bezel… sometimes I’m lost for words. Thanks so much for watching!
From your vid demo, I prefer the white light the 2.0 produces. Thanks for the demo.
Thanks 🙏
Nice light and good video as always.
Thanks! It is a nice light. I had been waiting for them to come out with this new version.
I like my 1.0 seems more robust and the bezels are tool steel
Yea that was what I noticed as well. For bombproof… go gen 1
That orange battery retention nut is weird. I've not ever seen anything like that before. This video should be good for helping people trouble shoot issues they may come across. As far as the torch goes I like the cooler white of the 2.0 from the comparison. Awesome video as always brotha!
Yea it’s a bit different, but it works! Just have to be aware of how to assemble everything properly.
That’s my hope is that this can help some other folks out.
I cant even find this version, their website only shows the 1.0, which is listed as out of stock.
It should be there unless they’re doing maintenance. Search for REIN 2.0
Apedefense has them
I love my 1.0 it's one of the best lights I've ever owned. Now I love my micro 2.0 also. Not disappointed on either. I've owned those 2 lights, then the Surefire scout mini 300, then the Elzetta mini CQB. The mini CQB was dope as shit & a very well made light. I wish I still had especially b/c they discontinued the make & sale of it
All of my CD stuff has been rock solid. Been hard to catch them in stock as of lately… I need another REIN 2.0 Micro in FDE.
That's a confusing light. What happened to just install the battery and go? I understand it is a one time set up, but still shouldn't be that confusing
I hear ya; I had originally assumed just tighten and go, then my buddy ran into his issue. We thought at first it was a bad light, but after contacting CD and messing with them, we figured it out. Hope this will help some folks.
I suspect it has to do with minimizing issues during heavy recoil that often negatively affects weapon lights. The instructions are pretty clear if you read them/understand them, unlike myself and my buddy 🤣.
@@southernpartisan1772 That was what I thought as well.
Cloud defense utilizing a built in pressure switch is a huge fail.
The pressure pad is optional. I run most with the tailcap. My MCH had its tailcap fail right out the box, but all of the Rein have been fine. The one pressure pad I have has been solid as well. I noticed they recently introduced a body that’s compatible with Surefire tail caps. That’s definitely a win. Thanks for watching!
@@ChristianGrest that's good news because I am in the market for a new light. I still have the ones I deployed with, and they are in terrible shape.
So, you are saying that the Cloud Defense has an option to have the pressure pad to come out the back instead of the side?
@@Tigris_River_Sand_Fleas yea they have a different body that allows for Surefire tailcaps, so you’ll have more options. Most of mine I just run the standard tailcap with the push button anyways, but if you want something like the Surefire setup, they got an option for that now
@@ChristianGrest Great! Unfortunately, the people making these flashlights are not nerdy enough. I would like to see a tac-light w/ integrated laser right down the middleof the light itself. I see that there are some for handguns 'and some cheaper lights,' but none of the top companies are offering that. Not to mention that the CDC (Riddle me that one...) doesn't allow lasers that are above 5w of power for eye safety. Sorry about the Rant Chris.
@@Tigris_River_Sand_Fleas no worries man, I always enjoy a good discussion and learning something new! I’m not huge on lasers. Did have the Streamlight ProTac light with integrated laser, but that thing was kinda bulky and heavy.
