How to play Fable 3 online coop for steam

- 1. Purchase Fable 3 steam code from Amazon or another legitimate retailer. (You will also need a Xbox live account for step 5)
2. 0:05-0:18 Redeem the Fable 3 code on steam
3. 0:40-1:58 Launch the game on steam to complete the registrations then once the black screen appears exit out as shown. (Make sure Fable 3 isn’t still running)
4. 2:05-2:52 Uninstall both “Games For Windows Live Redistributable” and “Games For Windows Live Marketplace” from your pc. Then Restart your pc.
5. 2:54-4:10 Then download the newest version-community.pcga...
Now extract it with 7zip as shown then right click on the exe then click properties and set to run in windows 7 (Uncheck windows 7 compatibility if you get any errors), then click apply then ok.
Run it then once its installed CLOSE it. do Not click launch.
6. 4:13-6:18 Now launch Fable 3 on steam. Games for windows live (GFWL) should now automatically pop up. Click Done then “Do not participate” then “Use Existing Live account” then sign into your xbox live Gold account.
Don’t forget to check the boxes “remember id” and “sign in automatically”
Now click sign in then be patient because the “please wait” loading screen can take up to 15 minutes to load your live profile.
7. 6:20-8:37 The next screen will show you your steam key check the box “i agree” then click “Submit”. This loading bar might also take a few minutes. Then Fable 3 will now be playable
8. 10:59-12:13 To fix this game’s Framerate first set your resolution at options-video options then turn off “V-sync”
then exit the game.. (VITAL STEP FOR MULITPLAYER: CLICK ALLOW ACCESS).
Finally right click on your desktop, click “nvidia control panel” then “manage 3d settings”, then click “Add” select fable 3 main executable then find v-sync and turn it on then click apply, exit out then Restart Fable 3.
You will now be able to play online coop sessions once it is available which is after beating the intro mission and unlocking the sanctuary.
(Make sure all parties have the same DLC content installed in order to join)

I have a big problem i buyed the Fable 3 GFWL key not steam key , so i cannot log in to the games for windows live and play online with others , what can i do ? i have windows 11 by the way

1. Are there achievements for Fable 3 shown on your Steam profile?
2. Are there cloud saves with the Steam version of Fable 3?
3. Can you link the place you bought a code for Fable 3 for Steam please?
1. The achievements are from Games for windows live (GFWL) so no they wont show on steam.
2. theres no cloud saving only local saves.
3. I got the legitimate online game code from Amazon as mentioned in description.
If you have a physical copy of the game, can you activate it on steam?
I mean, using the key which comes with the game?
If it’s an official steam key for games for windows live you can redeem it, give it a try. Only ones i know of are the online game codes on amazon

My resolution doesn't go as high as yours, maxes at 1920x1080, anything I did wrong with this, or just because it's a different system? Using a Asus TUF Gaming Laptop that came with windows 11 if that helps answer the question at all, yes I know, a Laptop, a very unpopular thing in PC gaming, but I like the ease of moving with a Laptop more than a whole Computer setup. Otherwise this helped a lot, thanks a bunch!
Yes thats because of the difference of Pc/monitor specs I have a setup that can run higher resolutions.

I can't connect to live, it give me this error: Can't Connect to Live. Error Code: 0x8007065b
Did you install GFWL with Compatibility mode on and set to windows 7? If so try disabling that and run it normally

@@fabriziosimoncelli8013 There seems to be several gfwl fixes with same error code for other games if you google the code you may find a fix online
The gfwl didnt come up[ when i opened the game, any tips?

hello I have a problem I enter my Microsoft identifier except that it charges for 10 minutes without having the rest is normal?
ive tried numerous times but i cant get past the part where you need to sign in, keeps saying incorrect password or account dont exist. ive tried app passwords and i just cant sign in
App passwords? You need to enter your xbox live account gamertag and password

You shouldn’t need to redownload anything if everything is working.

Has anyone come up with a fix as to why GFWL wont automatically pop up when you start fable?
Did you uninstall the gfwl that your pc comes with and download the gfwl that i linked then restart your pc and set the new gfwl to windows 7 compatibility?
@@n0eg0 Hi, yes I did. I even reinstalled the game after and nothing... it just wont seem to pop up when i open the game. The game starts like normal.
@@Nenfukimaru hmm.. Try using normal compatibility instead of windows 7. Im using 2 accounts to play one in windows 10 and another on windows 11 and that never happens, i hope someone helps you figure that out

Make sure to restart your pc at the end of step 4. i don’t show that part

Do I need an xbox live gold account to play? Can it be only a normal xbox account?
You can try it but im pretty sure you need Gold
