Just a tip for beginner hot glue users. Always have a bowl of ice water near by you before you start to hot glue anything. You will thank me the first time you burn yourself. Having that bowl of ice water had saved me many times. 😁
Really cool wreath. I’m already thinking “fall”and think this would look great decorated with leaves and autumn florals, even Christmas! Very versatile! You can sharpen scissors by cutting through several layers of foil. 🙃😎
I love this! I can see making this with a western flair. Using a cow print ribbon and maybe a “howdy”sign on top, as I like the ribbon on the bottom as well. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas! 🤠
Really cite, fr Oklahoma live right on the Oklahoma Texas line..and thought everyone made rope wreaths..they are super popular down here.. using leftover rope from the barn or the rodeos ladies have been making robberies for a very long time..I didn't know that it wasn't a thing everywhere..this one came out cute..
Love your genuine character and 'being so real' with your audience. This approach keeps people from becoming discouraged from trying their own hand at creativity. I am eager to try the braid for the middle of a country/western theme, also 'bravely' using a piece of 'barbed wire' from my mom and dad's fence at their home!
Absolutely beautiful can't wait to make this. I am a long time crafter, make many many crafts. Sewing quilts, many different styles of wreaths, I crochet, knit, canning, dehydrating. Live in Ohio. Grandmother of 9. Retired school bus driver.
😂. Thank you Julie and Gail! This is gorgeous! I have a ton of the Dollar Tree rope left over and ribbon that's quite similar already! Just need to get the flowers and leaves! I love it at the bottom too! Hooray another new idea!
As you were making it, I thought you had the bow upside down ! LOL! I LOVE it! I have a bunch of thick jute that I am going to use to make one. I think I will decorate it for fall!
Beautiful Julie, love the rope and how you decorated it. I made it to the end. I thought you were going to glue it to the wire frame. I was surprised it only went on the card board.
That was simply beautiful and I really enjoy when you're posting because you're so patient with it most of the time if I've seen the Supplies that you're using I like to do the video with you since I can stop it Thank you so much for sharing😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
I loved the video! Loved how you consider everyone and know that some of us would ask all kinds of questions, but you showed and took the extra time to show all the little tricks of the trade so others would understand. I greatly appreciate that you did this. Can’t wait to see more of your crafts. Truly looking forward to it.
Thank you for your video Julie. I made my wreath with 63 inch cords and used the whole amount to make a large wreath. I traced the wreath on cardboard after I made the circle. Its spectacular.
I made 2 of these wreaths a few weeks ago. (thought it was my design - LOL - till I saw this entry of yours, Julie) Anyway... I got my rope from AMAZON (100% Natural Jute Hemp Rope, 100 feet, 10 mm - $25.49 prime and it makes 2 whole wreaths) I did glue 2 rings together for the base so it would be more stable. I decorated them with cowboy items for some friends who were into rodeo activities, and they loved them.
This is my first time visiting your channel and I LOVE this wreath! It’s so versatile! I’m definitely thinking how great it will be for FALL!! 🍁 Favorite laughing emoji is 😆 I also love that you ‘changed your mind’! But we’re ‘crafters’ - it’s what we do!!! I prefer the decorations and bow at the bottom 🥰
Love both top and bottom. Went out and bought supplies to make this beauty for fall decor in livingroom. Or perhaps apt door ( secure building so no theft here)
I just saw this for the first time. I love it!! I watched till the end but rather than flowers and leaves, I'll be using sea shells . We live on the coast so I've got an unlimited supply. But also thinking of using white cotton rope and light color sea shells with some artificial beach grass Thanks so much for the instructions!!
You may want to try some ratcheting shears. No promises but they have saved my hands a lot. Love this wreath and so glad you "moved" the bow to the bottom. I went from liking it to loving it! Bellissimo!
I watched until the end. I have never made a wreath before but you sunflower is going to be my first and then the rope is going to be my next one. My husband is a navy man so I am going to make a navy themed one for Father's day or if it takes longer ...Veterans day and I much prefer the bottom bow.
I used a pair of heavy kitchen shears to cut heavy ropes and even dowels at times. I figured if they could cut through bones a rope should be easy. Works well most of the time. I'm thinking I'll make this but use plastic mesh for the back and spray with a sealant so I can use outside. We don't get much rain and my front doors have a partial overhang. Hopefully it will work. So much inspiration. Thank you.🙂
Yea!!! I watched it to the end... and I'm glad I did... I absolutely love, Love, LOVE this wreath... thank you for sharing... I do love the bow and flowers on the bottom...
Really pretty like you said different good country look I think I would have left your tail of rope and run a ivy down it but it's very pretty I do like the change in the bow to the bottom from one Julie to another good job
I watched to the end and became a new subscriber. Beautiful Wreath.!!, My aunt when she was still with us, taught me how to make these flowers from scratch. She made my bridal bouquet, all of the bridesmaid's bouquets, groomsmen's boutonnieres. She also made the boutonnieres and mother's florals for our parents. Come to think of it, she also made all of the end-of-aisle (pew) flowered bows ( I forgot what they're called) as well. The church and bridal party was beautiful in lavender and white, with a hint of pale pink, and silver. The best part is that has been 36 years, and I still have my bouquet. Your video makes me want to see if I can still make these flowers as gorgeous as she did.
Love this video! I made this wreath and hung it in my guest room. My mom loved it so much that we watched your video again during her visit and we made one for her to take home with her. Thanks!!
6/13/23 🤭 I watched to the end! I prefer the decor on the bottom as well or roll up the tails, glue them into the loops of the bow and turn the wreath so that the decor is on the side. You can’t really mess up this braided rope wreath! ❤
I really like that. When you flipped it, I thought that made it. While you were working on it, I kept thinking I would do mine upside down good choice on the bottom. Love it. Thanks. 🥰
Thank you, I'm going to try this. Thank you to Gail as well. You do beautiful work. You explain thoroughly, without taking a month of Sundays like some videos!!! ☆☆☆☆☆
Just a tip for beginner hot glue users. Always have a bowl of ice water near by you before you start to hot glue anything. You will thank me the first time you burn yourself. Having that bowl of ice water had saved me many times. 😁
I wear gloves lol
Bellissima brava la farò sicuramente.
Omgosh!!!°° lolololololol
Julie this so pretty! I love your RUclips videos!
I'm not allowed to use a hot glue gun now as I've been to hospital twice and got bandaged up due to my glue gun 😹.
There's a Shearing Scissors at Tractor Supply. They cut everything!!
Heritage 7310-P they are great!!
Perfect!
😆
Really cool wreath. I’m already thinking “fall”and think this would look great decorated with leaves and autumn florals, even Christmas! Very versatile! You can sharpen scissors by cutting through several layers of foil. 🙃😎
I agree! Bow on the bottom! I watched until the end! Beautiful!
When you turned the bow around it was amazing and so much prettier if that was even possible I love the bow on the bottom
I love this! I can see making this with a western flair. Using a cow print ribbon and maybe a “howdy”sign on top, as I like the ribbon on the bottom as well. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas! 🤠

This looks like a beautifully, braided bread that I recently saw in a high end bakery. So pretty! I would've turned the wreath to the side. 😃
I love it when Julie changes her mind!!! I like the Bow on top or bottom. ☺
I'm glad you turned it around. It does look better. Thank you for sharing. 😁
Love this! Creativity is about changing your mind. Thanks for the options. The bow looks good either way but the bottom is my favorite.
This is a beautiful wreath. Would love to see a Christmas version. Thanks for sharing!😃
Watched to the end, thanks for keeping it real and showing that we all can change our mind while crafting! Love the rope wreath!

One of the most beautiful wreaths I have ever seen! Great job.
pretty
I'm going to try doing it
😂. Thank you Julie and Gail! This is gorgeous! I have a ton of the Dollar Tree rope left over and ribbon that's quite similar already! Just need to get the flowers and leaves! I love it at the bottom too! Hooray another new idea!

I love this wreath! I like the bow on the bottom also. I can't wait to make this!
Watch to the end. Beautiful.
I was thinking the whole time the bow would look prettier on the bottom. Glad you changed it !
Beautiful Julie, love the rope and how you decorated it. I made it to the end. I thought you were going to glue it to the wire frame. I was surprised it only went on the card board.

I watched to the end..love it.
I watched to the end. I love this wreath idea.
You are right. Turning it where the ribbon was on the bottom is brilliant.
Hi Julie, I'm new to your channel. I love the way it is. That bow an the bottom look amazing 💖😍💖😍 thank you for sharing.🥰
Loving watching this wreath being made. What brand is your glue gun?
Thank you for this, Gail and Julie! I’m going to make this as a gift for a neighbor. It’s beautiful and so different. 😸
I love this! I think cotton boles would look great on this wreath😍
Julie I watched to the end !
I watched until the end and love you and what you do. Great work.
First Time viewer- Love this wreath! It has such an understated beauty about it. Bow definitely looks best on the bottom. 😊
Love it. For outdoor use why not use boat rope and a frame wreath.
Probably the bulk of the frame wreath with the width of the rope would make it have too much depth.
Such a cute idea! Thank you both for sharing. Love the “Julie changes her mind” moments! 😃
Beautiful!
Love it on the botton
I'm glad you turned the ribbon around, it looks much nicer this way .
Thank you for your video Julie. I made my wreath with 63 inch cords and used the whole amount to make a large wreath. I traced the wreath on cardboard after I made the circle. Its spectacular.

Oh a cowboy theme would be awesome!
I like the bottom❤️
🤟😎✌ bottom for sure! I'm going for a boho fall theme.
They are so cute🥰🥰🥰 easy to made you can use it a year. Just change the bow & flowers. I'm gonna made some fir my daughters
I don't know how many times that has happened to me. What a bubble burster lol. ❤
This is my first time visiting your channel and I LOVE this wreath! It’s so versatile! I’m definitely thinking how great it will be for FALL!! 🍁
Favorite laughing emoji is 😆
I also love that you ‘changed your mind’! But we’re ‘crafters’ - it’s what we do!!! I prefer the decorations and bow at the bottom 🥰
Absolutely and you will find that I change my mind a lot 😂
Why wouldn't you just glue the set of 3 rope before you start to braid?
Its her way of doing it. We dont have to do it just as she does.
They would probably harden and you wouldn't be able to shape it into the round shape
Julie I watched to the end
Love both top and bottom. Went out and bought supplies to make this beauty for fall decor in livingroom. Or perhaps apt door ( secure building so no theft here)
I watched the video to the end. Always wanted to knw how to do the rope wreath, and learned how to make a new type of bow. Thanks so much. Jan
Very unique. Just the braid alone with assorted attachments could make a lovely door or wall hanging too. Thanks for sharing.
You may want to try some ratcheting shears. No promises but they have saved my hands a lot. Love this wreath and so glad you "moved" the bow to the bottom. I went from liking it to loving it! Bellissimo!
I totally agree about turning the ribbon. It looks fabulous!
Precioso... gracias por tu trabajo y enseñanza...el Señor te bendiga grandemente muchos besos desde Sevilla España
I love this wreath, it's beautiful. I like the bow at the bottom also. I think it looks more balanced.
I am so glad that you rotated the bow! Am obsessed with jute and can’t wait to make this wreath.
Watched till the end. Like the bottom version better. Thank you for teaching!
I loved the video. I also like how you walk through every step. You do not leave any room for guessing. Thank you so much
I love this wreath and agree it looks better turned around with the tails on the bottom. Thank you
I was rooting for bottom the entire time. Love it . Thank you
I watched until the end. I have never made a wreath before but you sunflower is going to be my first and then the rope is going to be my next one. My husband is a navy man so I am going to make a navy themed one for Father's day or if it takes longer ...Veterans day and I much prefer the bottom bow.
watched to the end. Amazingly simple yet so elegant
I watched to the end and love this wreathe. I love it on the bottom and the dovetail ribbon ends.
I used a pair of heavy kitchen shears to cut heavy ropes and even dowels at times. I figured if they could cut through bones a rope should be easy. Works well most of the time. Love the neutral colours, bottom has my vote. I think this would look great for everyday decor.
Really pretty like you said different good country look I think I would have left your tail of rope and run a ivy down it but it's very pretty I do like the change in the bow to the bottom from one Julie to another good job

I love it on the bottom, but it looks great both ways. Thank you for the video.
☺️ It’s gorgeous as always. I love that you turned it upside down..
☺️Beautiful! I like the ribbon at the bottom too. It allows the beauty of the weaved rope more striking, adding to the overall beauty.
Love the brading been looking for ideas other than wrapping. Both tails work.

Absolutely love this. Making one for a special friend and one for another special friend and so on....
Hi Julie,
I am so happy that I found your channel
LOVE this wreath...I like the bow on the bottom towards the right hand side a bit! (NOT directly in the center)
+
I like the bow at the bottom. Love this wreath!
Like the bow in the bottom, it came out beautiful
Love this video! I made this wreath and hung it in my guest room. My mom loved it so much that we watched your video again during her visit and we made one for her to take home with her. Thanks!!
I love this braided wreath idea, am going to try doing this. It a creative and unique. Thank you!
Julie: Did you ever attach this to the wreath frame?
If not/-how are you hanging it? Is the cardboard sturdy enough by itself?? Thank you!
6/13/23 🤭 I watched to the end! I prefer the decor on the bottom as well or roll up the tails, glue them into the loops of the bow and turn the wreath so that the decor is on the side. You can’t really mess up this braided rope wreath! ❤
