      It's more important to have a good setup in the race, and TT setups tend to be better in quali than in the race (which is pretty self explanatory) but I'm gonna be honest, the difference really isn't big enough to justify paying money for them. The only thing that has to be changed on some tracks is the tire pressures bc the TT ones are sometimes a bit too high bc tire Temps don't matter there

    • @NLR_Knuth
      @NLR_Knuth 10 месяцев назад +3

      Pretty much this. You don't care about stability and tire management in TT and that's why, whilst TT setups are pretty decent in quali, they lack a bit more in the race. • @davefellows
    @davefellows 10 месяцев назад +7

    I think it's worth experimenting with a few of the faster TT setups and ideally find a single top driver who's setups work well for you. I found some didn't work well for me due to different driving styles (e.g. I found I couldn't drive Jarno's very well) whereas I find Otis Lawrence's setups consistently work really well me. And I think this is one of the problems with paid setups, they assume your driving style is the same as the person who created it. This may or may not suit you. Also, if you're a few seconds off their fastest time, it may not be a good match for you and you might want something with more stability.
    Note; I tend to increase the brake bias with Otis's setups as I find 50% (which he often has) is too oversteery for me when braking into slow corners. I normally use 53%. If you're using ABS, that shouldn't be a problem.

  • @levy_martins
    @levy_martins 10 месяцев назад

    TT setup is always good, but the issue is straight line speed and ERS management. TT setup is usually with more downforce. You will in many times be a sitting duck on the straight. ERS management is not good as well due to the effect of drag.
    But for quali, yes, TT setup is pretty decent online as well. Maybe only change tire pressure.
    But when you take wings out, it changes the entire setup (suspension, car height, toe, diff..) to try to generate turning, dood tyre deg with less wings.
    In general, to play againist Ai, i agree TT setup is nice. But play online in leagues is a different story for the majority of the circuits.

    Well see you have got it wrong again Alex there many sites that provide free setups for F1 23. I personally know of very site that walks you through the setup for each track as well race strategy. Yes there some sites that you have to pay for and have nothing wrong with using them if I had. The very fact that people pay or use pay for setups is because there is with most people on who share their setup they only show few seconds of it at end of video with know explanation on how to adjust it to your own individual driving style. There are as well Discord servers that provide nothing but useless information on setups.
    So yes I can see why people would pay for race setups and have no issues with this in fact if people are able to pay for not just setups but coaching as I say good on them.
