Taryn's rationalizing the squadmate choices in the endgame was a long stretch of tense moments. Her instincts showed just how invested she's become in the characters and their distinctions.

If you never ship with tali or garrus in any game and always do their missions they will be together in ME3 at the end, which i found out after playing all 3 games again this year. very wholesome
Iirc Tali also has a drunk dialogue where she mumbles to herself about both Garrus and Shepard, also funny that Liara apparently also knows her search history too.
YES! I am so glad she dumped Kaiden for Garrus. I did the same thing. I am curious on her playthrough of the Project Overlord DLC (Just a really good DLC and I love seeing people's general feelings behind it)
I literally just discovered this channel and watched the first part a couple of hours ago and was sad there wasn't one for Mass Effect 2 yet 😭 Perfect timing omg!

I am happy that she's taking Wrex's loss in stride and making efforts to not have the same thing happen! I hope she enjoys the trilogy! thank you for the video its awesome.
After recently playing through the trilogy again after almost 15 years, and it feeling like the first time all over again. Seeing your gf play through this for the first time brings me joy I ain't know I needed.
Wow this was the best video on ME2 I've ever seen, well done and thanks! Perfect mix of narration setting the scene, hitting the main story points, lore, funny moments and all with the excitement and enthusiasm your GF has which frankly I'm jealous of! Made it really fun. Can't wait for ME3's video.
She can be a kid sometimes, I really like it 😂, It reminds me when I played this game back on the Xbox 360! Also her being upset about that cut in the Garrus romance scene is so funny 🤣
This series is incredible and am really enjoying her journey. This series just has so many memorable characters, Mordin, Garrus, Thane, Tali...they all are some of my favorite sci-fi characters in any media. Can't wait for her to finish ME3. Great job on the videos.
Your videos made me play the games and I finished them in a month, it was an amazing month . Looking forward to the ME3 video and her reaction to the ending...
As sad as I was to see Wrex die in ME1, I'm glad his sacrifice wasn't in vain, his death taught her the importance of never taking your team for granted
Yes, that's exactly how it played out for me. Wrex dead in first playthrough. Never been so stressed about any other game in my life when I went into the suicide mission :D
I’ve been through the entire back catalog and now I’m stuck waiting for regular uploads like everyone else. I literally cannot wait for the next upload. The videos always turn out great, gotta respect all the time and effort that goes into making these entertaining. And Taryn’s eagerness to invest in worlds and characters is just charming as heck.
No that's annoying. Takes you out of the video, immersion gone, atmosphere out of the window... You can think it's genius bad has a bad effect on many people... I literally had to stop the video then and there and continue it after 2 or 3 hours... I hate when people do this...
@@Ellinon_Vasileus yea, but that goes for all ad-reads. I hate them with a passion, and I'll do near anything to skip them, but of all the sponsorship inserts i've come across, this one takes the cake. The fact that she managed to keep everyone alive despite the odds stacked so heavily against her is INCREDIBLE. Let's go Tarny!! I'm just sad I missed seeing her reaction to realizing how many ways things could've gone wrong 😂
Oh damn, you actually got something wrong about the suicide mission: In the Hold the Line segment, loyalty isn't the part that is relevant for whether someone lives or dies. Every squadmate has a "Hold the Line" score attached to them, increased by 1 if they're loyal. If the combined score of all squadmates that are left to hold the line is too low, some of them will die.
Im more surprised by the fact she managed to save ALL squadmates and the whole crew considering this is her first time playing the game where must of us our first time we didn't managed to save them all the first time (mordin and half the crew in my case)
I love how attached your girlfriend is to the characters in games l, and it’s adorable. It’s beyond amazing to watch her play video games I grew up on, and to have that first experience again. Your guys relationship reminds me a lot of me and my husband. We game together a lot, and I also get very attached to characters. Her excitement is what makes the games she plays so wonderful for us to watch again. It’s good to see you guys back. ☺️ Even if I don’t fully watch a video of yours, I never exit out without giving it a like.
This was a joy to watch. I was really anxious when the final mission decisions started, glad everyone survived. ME2 is the only game I instantly replayed after beating (I lost Tali on my first playthrough).
When's the second channel launching where you get recommendations and we see her narrate your reactions to it? Girl meets boy. Love these vids. Strikes me that she enjoys the Mass Effect universe more than a fair few that's been recommended lol

Your editing is also top notch, love your call back about the eyebrows as one small example. Can’t wait until you bring this series home with ME3! But one question in the meantime … is your girlfriend becoming more decisive in real life thanks to playing these games???
Give hem a shot! They are extremely cheap and very good experiences even if you know what’s gonna happen, everyone has a different story and play style
No lie, that was a smooth sponsor integration into the video. I wish I could play these games again for the first time. Videos like these are the closest I can get to that. Thank you!
Two things: 1. Always love how excited that your girlfriend gets for the story 2. Her thoroughness paid off! when I played this the first time, i didnt listen to a lot of things and ended up losing people because of ship upgrades, and also crew members because i dilly dallied Overall, she's a better ME2 player than me lol
Awesome choices on the final mission, on my first playthrough I lost Mordin because I left him to hold the line instead of sending him back with the crew. Will you play the DLC before ME3? It’s a must to see the growth of certain characters that have mayor roles in the sequel
Fun Fact! Who you bring with you to fight the Human Reaper DOES MATTER, and isnt based on Loyalty. Each Squadmate while defending your position gives points to a survivability score while you fight the final boss. Keeping Garrus, Zaeed, and Grunt GREATLY increases your chances of having no squad wipe. By sending Mordin back to the ship, and taking Tali to the final boss, Tarny actually made it so the two squishiest squad mates survived! Good on Tarny for making those choices on a first playthrough, I lost Mordin on mine!
Jack and Kasumi are also the squishiest squadmates. Bringing Garrus was a mistake, but that part of the mission doesn't demand perfection, only competence. Good thing too, because a perfect score on the line would require you to not recruit Kasumi at all. Mordin and Jack are mandatory, and you need Tali to upgrade the Normandy's shields.
@@KopperNeoman Three different colour swaps for the same generic ending, an ending which didn't reflect any of the decisions you'd made in the previous 3 games. People's complaints were completely valid, Bioware absolutely shit the bed on this franchise at the very last moment.

@@TheLiveactiongamer The conclusion was never the problem. It was always about the lack of closure, like you mentioned yourself. I do think that missing out on the DLC epilogue between the two is a mistake. Or maybe she did that and we're just not seeing it? It just sets up the story better for when you start 3. Also glad she didn't stick with Kaidan's slimy, backstabbing behavior.
Amazing - what I would give to be able to experience playing this game for the first time again. But to be fully honest, you also not really wrong either, they kind of are reapers. xD
@@TheLiveactiongamer my now regret after playing the trilogy. is not reading the books till recently. they are amazing. i recommend the books when i hear someone i work with thinking starting it.
@thefogg what's a good starting point on those?
Anderson: It's messed up that you had to kill 300,000 batarians, Shep. But I understand that you did it to delay the reapers.
Shepard: Reapers?
No Shepherd without Vakarian
Who is Shepherd and where are the sheepies?
Taryn's rationalizing the squadmate choices in the endgame was a long stretch of tense moments. Her instincts showed just how invested she's become in the characters and their distinctions.
The Good Doctor really just told Shepherd to have great but safe smex.
I never played femshep, this was somehow new to me after all this time. (18:40 for those who want to rewatch)
@@dogishappy0Mordin actually gives advice for every xenosexual pair.
If you romance Tali as MaleShep for example Mordin will talk about how he consulted her and helped her find some performance drugs for her immune system.
If you romance Thain the Drell Assassin - he will warn about his skin chemicals and sends FemShep meds to help with "hang over" that WILL happen after intercourse.
And etc etc
Mordin is a true professional at work. Any work. And he is a good friend. A truly modern model of a scientist salarian.
And what’s funny is that he also gives advice with human lovers. Since they are Cerberus, you gotta watch out for bugs XD
As someone who loves this game I'm so happy to see someone so invested in it and see it for the first time. This was so much fun to see her reactions to all the new info and changes in mass effect 2. I can't wait to see her play the 3rd one.
..."A geth, a geth, literally a geth. He is so cool and he is my friend"...
Adorable...sometimes she reminds me of a cute/innocent/naive JRPG/anime character!!!! 😂
I would warn her not to start the Citadel DLC too early in ME3. It's hard to know it's DLC to new players.
Just played through ME3, played through Citadel without getting Tali first 😢
@@drewvasseur3123did that on my first playthrough too. Went to a previous save file, got Tali, and replayed the DLC again. Worth it
If you never ship with tali or garrus in any game and always do their missions they will be together in ME3 at the end, which i found out after playing all 3 games again this year. very wholesome
Iirc Tali also has a drunk dialogue where she mumbles to herself about both Garrus and Shepard, also funny that Liara apparently also knows her search history too.
@@Tim7318-3Only happens if you romance Garrus.
I... don't remember that ! I romanced Liara through the 3 games and I don't recall them together at the end... I'll have to look into that.
@@Paehriniirc you are def with liara at the end of 3 if you played that way in the first two
why are spoiling that shit for her? His lady has not played the game!
YES!
I am so glad she dumped Kaiden for Garrus.
I did the same thing.
I am curious on her playthrough of the Project Overlord DLC (Just a really good DLC and I love seeing people's general feelings behind it)
Choosing him over Kaidan “Full Retard” Alenko or not-horrendous-but-has-space-cancer lizard? Hell, yes and thank God.
omg me too! I totally didn't even realize we didn't get to see her reaction to Liara or the Overlord DLC. Which are both great pieces of content!
Fuck yeah! I’ve been waiting for this for SO LONG!
Mordin, and it isn't even close. The scientist Salarian is my favourite character in all of fiction.
"Talitalitalitali!"
Your girlfriend wouldn't happen to be a former Small Arms Repairman, would she?
I literally just discovered this channel and watched the first part a couple of hours ago and was sad there wasn't one for Mass Effect 2 yet 😭
Perfect timing omg!
21:03 Shepard murders someone in cold blood, and she giggles. That says a lot.
Then again, he was a batarian. Sort of had it coming...
This video was worth the wait.
I am going to be rewatching both mass effect videos until 3 comes out lol.
I came for the video and the adorable girlfriend reactions and I was not disappointed in any way lol.
I love her excitement. Great video.
I am happy that she's taking Wrex's loss in stride and making efforts to not have the same thing happen! I hope she enjoys the trilogy! thank you for the video its awesome.
I can't wait for her reactions to ME3. Jack's arc, Mordin's next song, Geth and Quarians, and so much more.
After recently playing through the trilogy again after almost 15 years, and it feeling like the first time all over again. Seeing your gf play through this for the first time brings me joy I ain't know I needed.
Congratulations on a fantastic year in terms of videos and wishing you a Happy New Year. Looking forward to everything the future has in store.
Tali. Tali! TALI! I love Tali, she's my favorite companion in all 3 of the games. I couldn't do the games without her.
0:50 the collectors were just trying to install a new moonroof but Joker kept swerving out of the way
Wow this was the best video on ME2 I've ever seen, well done and thanks!
Perfect mix of narration setting the scene, hitting the main story points, lore, funny moments and all with the excitement and enthusiasm your GF has which frankly I'm jealous of! Made it really fun. Can't wait for ME3's video.
I've been waiting for this since the ME1 video!!
Watching the suicide mission had me on the edge of my seat. HUGE kudos for getting everyone out alive on a blind playthrough!
I was legit sweating the entire time.
I admit I’ve never sent Legion into the vents
Your videos made me play the games and I finished them in a month, it was an amazing month . Looking forward to the ME3 video and her reaction to the ending...
Her excitement is so infectious and keeps me coming back for these videos. Love it!
18:15 I actually got to meet Bill Salyers (voice actor of Mordin Solis), awesome dude :).
They took our crew, our ship, OUR CHEF. This was my favorite part of her reaction lmao.
Okay, that sponsorship placement was genius
actually!
There's more food, and less ass!
IMO they selected the perfect, (non main) story beat, and as he's a bit of a joke character, our normady SR-2 janitor-cook, not as Only MapMen's ad-reads are funnier
Anyway, isn't that a bit worrying? that you let it affect you so much, and I say that as someone who can get quite f king annoyed at ads (so I say this as much to you as myself lol), but it affected so much to the point of needing a couple of hours (?!) seems to be really not worth your energy! Or did you get like distracted/focused on doing something else?
Her reactions just make me smile. I think they were the same I had during the prologue, and the whole scene when we see the SR-2. I love all of it.
@15:00 "Look a bunch of Talis" I can't 🤣
The fact that she managed to keep everyone alive despite the odds stacked so heavily against her is INCREDIBLE. Let's go Tarny!! I'm just sad I missed seeing her reaction to realizing how many ways things could've gone wrong 😂
39:12 The mining was.... Fun? That's a new one.
That little whirring it does as you're scanning drives me insane.
EDI's reaction to probing Uranus is golden
That mod that instantly depletes a planet with one probe is the first one I always install.
It's a relaxing pacebreaker.
Ya'll's editing. It's wonderful story telling and has on several occassions added to my appreciation of a lot of games that I already loved.
Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a Made my Girlfriend Play Fallout New Vegas video.
I quite literally have been waiting for this 😭 so glad she got around to playing the second one and can't wait for the third game
YEAH!!!! I’ve been way too of so long for this!!!!! Can’t wait for 3
Cant wait for Mass Effect 3 and then having her replay 1 through 3 to save Wrex and do the Genophage right.
I played the Mass effect series and 2 is definitely my favorite!
I was rooting so hard for taryn to choose the right options in the suicide mission
This was a joy to watch. I was really anxious when the final mission decisions started, glad everyone survived. ME2 is the only game I instantly replayed after beating (I lost Tali on my first playthrough).
Cerberus messed up my eyebrows too! Also I only lost one crew member on the Collector base but I could not keep a single fish alive.
When's the second channel launching where you get recommendations and we see her narrate your reactions to it? Girl meets boy. Love these vids. Strikes me that she enjoys the Mass Effect universe more than a fair few that's been recommended lol
Thank you for all the great content this year!
Seeing someone experience games like Mass Effect for the first time with such joy helps me remember the amazing feelings I had myself in my first playthrough. Love this channel, looking forward to ME3.
Ah yes, the absolute masterpiece of the series.
This video is amazing, made me relive ME2 as if it was my first time playing it again. Your girlfriend's reactions were so relatable it almost brought a tear to my eye multiple times throughout the video.. comes to show how amazing this game series is!
you can tell shes having a great time when half the video is mic peaking lol
im hyped for this video! the ME1 vid is the reason i subbed then i suddenly found myself binging on the souls vids. cant wait for ME3
Holy shit I discovered your *excellent* ME1 video yesterday and immediately subbed and now I get the 2nd one the very next day? Fuckin ace
Mass Effect is one of my most favorite games. I enjoyed your vid man, i honestly cant wait to see your GF play ME3 especially with the decisions she has made throughout all 3 ME games.
You've probably conisdered it already, but I think seeing Detroit: Become Human on this channel would be great
Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls too (unless there's ones already, haven't checked)!
It’s great to see how much you both enjoy this series! I’m so tired hearing people moan and complain non stop about the game they are playing. Your editing is also top notch, love your call back about the eyebrows as one small example. Can’t wait until you bring this series home with ME3! But one question in the meantime … is your girlfriend becoming more decisive in real life thanks to playing these games???
I haven't played Mass effect games and probably never will, but hey, I'm hooked on your content guys
Give hem a shot! They are extremely cheap and very good experiences even if you know what’s gonna happen, everyone has a different story and play style
No lie, that was a smooth sponsor integration into the video. I wish I could play these games again for the first time. Videos like these are the closest I can get to that. Thank you!
2:09 My cabbages!
Two things:
1. Always love how excited that your girlfriend gets for the story
2. Her thoroughness paid off! when I played this the first time, i didnt listen to a lot of things and ended up losing people because of ship upgrades, and also crew members because i dilly dallied
Overall, she's a better ME2 player than me lol
The fallout from ME3's ending is gonna be rough
If nobody poisons the well, Girlfriend will love it. People's complaints amount to "I didn't want hard moral questions, I wanted to win!"
@@KopperNeoman Three different colour swaps for the same generic ending, an ending which didn't reflect any of the decisions you'd made in the previous 3 games. People's complaints were completely valid, Bioware absolutely shit the bed on this franchise at the very last moment.
@@peacemaster8117 personally I never really had an issue with the actual endings, they seem like natural conclusion to me, what I was a bit sad about was there was no game after ME3 to see the choice playout. ME:A kinda felt like a cop out to not have to commit even if it does have some interesting stuff in it. Hopefully ME4 actually does branch off from the endings. maybe thats why its taking them 10 years to make the game xD they already said its min 2029 and its been in dev for 4-5 years already. (Separate team from DA:V thankfully with a bunch of ME vets it seems)
@@TheLiveactiongamer The conclusion was never the problem. It was always about the lack of closure, like you mentioned yourself. The Citadel DLC would've been the perfect epilogue for an ending where Shepard and everybody survived, but they made it a pre-ending content instead. I still to this day consider The Citadel DLC as my headcanon ending.
@@Kreze202 Audemus's Happy Ending Mod, plus Starchild-Be-Gone, plus Citadel Epilogue mod (which does exactly what you wanted and makes it an epilogue story after Priority: Earth) is my personal headcanon for how the trilogy actually ends.
Not losing anyone on a blind playthrough is always good to see
I salute you, Commander Shepard. :)
Girlfriend did an excellent job of learning from her mistakes last time and making good decisions for the future.
Mass Effect is my favourite series without question, and it made me genuinely emotional getting someone's reactions to playing the game for the first time, especially with that score in the background pulling up my own memories of playing through those scenes.
Can't wait for the ME3 playthrough!
Also, she's not wrong, she's definitely got them sniper skills down!
I'm really bummed Taryn didn't have Wrex alive, he's one of the best crew members (for ME3). Only Legion and Mordin are better than Wrex, partially because their stories and endings are so damn good.
This was really fun! Loved how excited she was while playing, really made me smile and made me remember how I felt my first time through the trilogy.
Looking forward to the conclusion
she should totally play cyberpunk, she will love it now that is all updated and actually a good game
Let’s go! I was waiting on this one ever since the first one
Mooooore!!!
I've seen 2 of yours videos and I love this.
Can't wait for more.
I love the Mass Effect series... not just because I am in Mass Effect 3 (The people at Bioware snuck people they knew into the various games, using their names as random people in the background or notes... and I even got a small speaking role!)
okay now I'm curious what background role did you get? xD
Yeah me too (me when I lie)
