    Most my vehicles have names but this doesn't. I'm thinking about naming it Cash after Johnny Cash for the song one piece at a time.

    Ya but you won’t be able to put the mounted picker on, with that hanging on the side like that.And just give that top gear in the steering box a half turn, like use the other side that wasn’t used.

    • @AndyFromm

      I've turned the gear a couple times into different spots. I think the bushings are wore out.
      The injection pump hangs out to far?

    I always wanted to do this to my Massey Harris 444....what kind of work needs to be done to the bellhousing/ flywheel area to bolt a 4BT to your transmission? Great job!

      I just re drilled the farmall motor plate & flywheel, added a 0.5" flywheel spacer/adapter. I am going to build a different flywheel though because I don't like how this one turned out. I'm not familiar with masseys. Thanks 👍

    I've always thought the Minneapolis Moline U302 would be a good candidate for a diesel swap like a 4-53 detroit or a little cummins. They are such a heavy well built tractor and were only made in gas. they are pretty affordable too.

      @@AndyFromm That's awesome. That just inspired me to go look at the U302 near me for sale. I'll use it until the gas engine dies and during that time plot out my conversion. I guess I better learn how to be a mechanic/fabricator in that time too

    Stupid question how did you get the motor to mount in the backing plate and what clutch and flywheel did you use

    • @AndyFromm
      @AndyFromm  3 года назад +1

      Re-drilled the stock motor plate.
      Added a 0.5inch flywheel spacer adapter with the stock m flywheel re-drilled to cummins(for now) & stock clutch.
      I have plans of re-doing the flywheel & clutch, not that I've had issues but I feel my current set up isn't safe...

    Nice work with the 4BT! Maybe a small oil cooler would help with foaming and potentially the lock up. New to your channel, glad you popped up!

      @@AndyFromm Just from experience with airlocked hydroboost and other power steering systems, along with an engine swap I did before in my old pickup, original "cooler" looped metal line was rotted out, so I figured the hell with it. It was too short of a distance and too hot, had alot of condensation issues and was never right. Ended up splicing in a cooler off the autozone "performance" shelf. After doing a few lock to lock turns, problem went away and never had any issues after.
