By 2001, I wasn't a proud trance DJ anymore and moved on to progressive house and breaks. Trance, for the most part, lost its magic. Maybe I had matured to a different taste. I completely forget, at times, why I even liked trance. Many of the original DJ's like Sasha & Digweed and producers like Quivver, Tilt (the masters of this craft), BT, Cass & Slide, and others weren't even embracing it anymore. Then I listen to this and remember the majesty, elegance, beauty, and wonder trance from this era encapsulated. If only trance continued to mature with this level of sophistication and elegance, I would of still embraced it. Every trance track was its own story and landscape. However it became mainstreamed and commercialized and lost its edge. Well, at least I collected about 8 years of the most incredible trance music I ever heard. Luckily, progressive breaks still has this magic. Great post. Thank you for helping me remember why I got into electronic music.
I enjoy some of the more modern trance as well, but tracks like this one are really unique and soulful in their own way. Art of Trance for example, while I did not always enjoy every track made, I really appreciated the flavour / soul / uniqueness in there. Same with most of that eras trance. Now, most modern electronic music is just horribly overcompressed (at least in digital formats) which kills all the life in the tracks, so I might never know if they COULD have awaked same kind of emotions.
Some of the best tracks ever! Whenever I think what might be the best trance track of all times, this might be it: ruclips.net/video/aQNTq-TNTeE/видео.html
Amazing. Sunday Club aka Marc Mitchell (as I've just discovered) is an absolute legend btw. When I first discovered the intro to Healing Dream (on Magik 1) I had to play it full blast in my car on the way to and from work. It's like the ultimate shivers-down-your-spine intro ever made in electronic music. And of course, what a way for Tiesto to get his record label compilation career off the mark.
is this cgi as old as this track? if it is then i wanna know what kind of renderer software and what mac hardware version they used to make it cause it is incredible at given time

Terra Ferma is sickest producer, along with Monojoke
Agreed, this is an incredible song. Do you have any suggestions for trance tracks of that era that are as good as this one?
