I recognized the video almost right away. Forgot what it was called, but it was a 'what if...' show about how humans could possibly send probes to a planet near alpha centauri and maybe find life. The journey took 70 years or something and the two probes scanned and observed the lifeforms. I remember at the end one of the probes got destroyed when one a somewhat intelligent species chucked a spear at it, then the show ended.
