@@Sethdaknowledgeseeker You’re not wrong, he is a very technical character. But in a game full of characters with far easier and mor brain dead options, he gets outclassed by characters that have no business being better than him.
After playing him since day one until now, life is a struggle. But he's not as bad as he looks. One thing I really appreciated from Gorioka was him being willing to take risks, which is a huge part of Seph's game. Risks don't always pay off, but when they do Seph will just kill unexpectedly haha.
@@SuperAaron360 This is a really good point. If you try to play too honest with Sephiroth, you will get combo'd to 80 and die. I'm not a pro by any means but when I play Seph it's a lot of mental games conditioning with Side B/ threatening shield breaks, armor of smash attacks with wing, and definitely throwing out some counters (which is a busted counter btw) to discourage mashing from swordie matchups like Aegis, Roy, etc.
@TreyMM-qz4wg agreed! I'm a Sephiroth main too, and up at 14.2M GSP, most players are better than this. I feel like people who play this badly give the character a bad name, but it's really the player. Seph should beat Peach/Daisy matchup-wise. It's the smaller faster characters with projectiles that can be more troublesome. Makes me want to join a real life tournament, and see if I get clapped, or if I'm way better without lag
