    Such a beautiful piece 😍 especially at 38mm. I have to get my hands on a Zenith. I haven't held one in the metal yet.

    Great video! I own the previous 38mm version on steel bracelet that you show on the video and also the gorgeous Manufacture edition with the three shades of blue. They are the last two models with Cal 400. This new one would be a nice addition, I believe. But I would beg Zenith to produce a remake of the GF ladder bracelet with a higher quality feel, for this model. That would definitely make me buy it!

      I think the version you have looks much better with the sunburst dial and the tachymeter on the outside, this one just looks too busy like a Breitling.

    Very tempted to buy one in steel bracelet. However, it is not available in the store. It seems there is a storage of production lately. :(

      Yes seems only the strap variation has been available but hopefully the bracelets should come out soon too

    Question: Is it a true white dial or is it a brushed silver?

  • @MJP3055
    @MJP3055 3 года назад +2

    Actually the reduced water resistance is due to the OG screw down case back

    Loved the vid. About the watch, I actually prefer the previous gen. model. I really liked in it the counterbalance star on the main chrono hand, the red tips on subdial hands, 12-hour chrono counter, and a 10 ATM water resistance. All of that is gone in favor of 1/10th conversion (a scale that makes the watch look busier) and a slightly longer power reserve. I dont think that's a fair tradeoff. Also, I have to say that blue and anthracite dials on the previous version are also hot.

    Excellent, informative vid. Great recreation of the original dial and case, just not sure about the 1/10th second movement. Was it really needed, or is it any better than the “normal” chronograph movement from the previous 38mm watch? Anyways, already on my wish list.

      I would say it’s more watchmaking prowness that Zenith can show since it’s one of the smallest hi-beat chronographs and accurate to 1/10th of a second

    I was looking at this pc and realized that three round overlaped, the shopkeeper told me because such is to compromised the diameter...I bought Breitling.

      Chronomaster Sport for me

      @@MinuteMon thanks, much appreciated. My wrist size is 6.25 and I usually wear up to 40mm case size watches, hence the consideration. I own the Chronomaster Sport (not worn yet as I need to resize the bracelet) and at 41mm it still fits my wrist well, but with the thicker case I perhaps would be more comfortable with the EP Original at 38mm, but I will keep the Chronomaster Sport.

    Thanks for the detail about it not counting past 60 minutes. While I rarely time things longer than an hour, I'd rather see 65 minutes displayed as 5 minutes vs just stopping. Bummer.

    • @MinuteMon
      @MinuteMon  Год назад +1

      Oh this watch will display the Chronograph time as 5 mins (65 mins running). I meant it doesn’t have a display to show over an hour of time, but you technically could if you remember how many hours your Chronograph has been running

    What OG means ? Original ? What so you think of the a386 revival manufacture edition with blue subdials?

    • @MinuteMon
      @MinuteMon  2 года назад

      Yes OG = Original. It’s hard not to love a blue dial, but I’d still prefer the classic silver dial with tri colors

    The lugs seem to over reach a little, it's stunning goes without saying but legibility wise not overly practical

    • @silvershadowjsh
      @silvershadowjsh 3 месяца назад +1

      It’s something you do get used to and is surprisingly eligible over time. Despite the lugs (or maybe that is the reason it is such) the dimension feel extremely well balanced. Might wear more like a 40mm but I love the dial size and often find 38mm too small.

    I am an engr who is new to watch collecting, and I am probably in the slim minority in my opinion that the chapter rings here are a redundant mess. If I were to design the face, I would eliminate the inner chapter ring, which would allow the sub dials to be spaced apart and would avoid the conflict with the date window. For the remaining outer chapter ring, I would make the decimal format consistently 0.0, and eliminate the text that covers the first two numbers (also I think that "1/10th" is grammatically redundant). Or, just go back to the old design with the tachymeter.

    • @MinuteMon
      @MinuteMon  2 года назад

      I would just switch the strap to a standard pin buckle that would make it more dressy and slip under a dress shirt!
